Try Allstate. I pay just over $200 per year for excellent coverage in Florida. But rates do change based on the state you're in

I pay $510 a year full coverage with USAA (Underwritten by Progressive since it's classified as a motorcycle).
2K, that's insane for an SS.
Not sure why progressive give me that quote.I am glad I am seeing these lower rates,for a minute I just thought it is what it is with these things.

New here and to Slingshot.Been renting for a few weeks and now I am ready to bite the bullet and get one of my own.Found the one I want 4 hours away from me, got the deal worked out,called about the taxes,then the insurance.Well, come to find out that my insurance company Farm Bureau will not insure it.Called progressive,they want $2,000 a year with under insured and $1,300 without under insured.This is insane!!
So my question is...Are rates normally this high for someone in the mid 40's with a clean driving record for over 10 years??

Yes sir, will be there at 9am and probably there all day, possibly the next day, depending on how long it takes us and how much testing Dave wants to do.

Oh, very cool, I hadn't seen any rentals before that offered tops. Place in Dallas doesn't, and neither did the one in Vegas, only two places I looked at though.
I think they lucked up on it.They buy all used units to rent out and they found the one with the top at a good deal and was able to get it.It's pretty nice SLR with 3,500 miles on it.It's the one I ask for when renting.But hopefully my rental days will be over soon.I hear that we should know some 2020 news by Tuesday and I have my eye on a new 2018 if they go auto.

The Wife and I are up in that area all the time (was in Clemson today), but next Saturday we have plans otherwise we would swing up.
Word of caution, these things get very addicting and if you do get one you will more then likely end of modding it. From there it's a dark hole that none of us have found a way out of especially wokka, Kyle D and rabtech !

Hate that it will not work out for y'all to ride with us Saturday.Maybe in the near future we can hook up.I live literally 10 minutes from Clemson.I do plan on renting a Slingshot at least once if not twice a month till I figure out if they are going to change them to much in 2020.Then I am willing to buy one after they release any info. on that.I know a lot of great roads in this area and in neighboring states,so can come up with some great rides for a while.Thanks for the reply and warning,hope to meet y'all soon.

I cannot make it cancer surgery on my nose on the 25th have to see how that goes. Probably be a couple of weeks before any out of own rides

Thanks SlingSC and wokka.I live off of the 28 bypass and I am from Belton,born and raised.And by all means let me know if you can join us.We are eating at the Oriental House on the corner of Garlington and Woodruff Rd.(1143 Woodruff Rd # G, Greenville, SC 29607) at 11 a.m..Then since I do not own a sling just yet, we will leave the Oriental House and drive a mile to pick up the rental and head out.

New here and new to the Slingshots.Rented my first one today and had a blast!! Now I am possessed on finding one of my own.Might continue to rent till I know what's new or not new for 2020.Anywho,just wanted to throw out here an invite to a ride me and a few friends are planning this coming Saturday the 27th.We will be eating lunch in Greenville,S.C. at 11 A.M..Pick up the rentals at 12 P.M. and go on a ride trough some back roads of S.C.,N.C. and end up on the BRP.Please let me know if interested for more details and thanks for your time and the add.
