I got fed up and ordered a small hand held cordless air blower from Amazon. It’s rechargeable. On my alloy colored 20” wheels, you never really see the dust and I rarely ever hv to clean any of the wheels. However my 22” satin black rear wheel collects CRAZY dust from a quick ride to the store and back. I have a gloss black polished lip which makes it hard to wipe off without scratching. I hv a light fine detail brush but it will scratch the lip also. You can literally blow it out with your breath so I got fed up and bought a small blower that easily fits in the glove box.

I assume the UAS lights didn't look like the 2020 OEM lights?

After I changed the oil today and cleaned the K&N filter, I decided to clean up some electrical wiring behind the head unit, which turned into a longer project than I planned, but I'm much happier with my setup. I meant to grab a pic of the wiring harness I had built for the mytoy mount, but I got distracted like a dog after a squirrel. I'll try to remember the next time I pull the head unit.

I also started detailed the sling a bit, but it got dark on me.

I wish I had taken a picture of them side by side before install but once I had everything torn apart, I had to finish the job before I forgot what screw went where and what color wire I needed to splice, etc lol.

The face of the led’s by UAS look exactly the same. You can clearly tell they followed the oem led to the mm. Obviously the oem led was built for the SS, so it has a bigger rear housing to each led. Once the UAS are installed, you can’t tell the difference between oem vs stock except for when the upper and lower flash amber when turn signal is engaged and the slight blueish tint.

what made you go with the oem LEDs vs UAS? Whats the main difference? Also cant the whole kit be pretty much ordered from Polaris directly?

I chose the oem led simply because of the color output. In one of pics, you will see driver side with oem led and the passenger side with UAS led’s. The UAS displays a blueish tint but the center light is bright white. I like the center light, so I just changed out the led’s so ALL the front led’s display the same color.

The led’s from UAS were cut from the same mold as the oem led. I took a risk in buying them from Polaris hoping they would fit the UAS housing. All the holes matched up, but I had to cut away some of the housing with a cut off tool while still mounted on the SS in order to accommodate the larger plug housing on the oem led. The cut off tool made quick work of it but all the holes for screws on the back of the led matched up directly with the pin holes from the oem led’s.

The UAS led are fine, especially the switchback working with the turn signals, they look great in the day and at night. I just didn’t care for the slight blue tint.

I guess you could order each piece needed from Polaris but you will definitely pay more money!

UAS mentioned “plug n play”.......however, I had to do some minor tweaking to get it the way I liked it. The wiring is not an issue and led switchback lights work great as well as the center light.

My issue was that I removed the led lights from UAS and ordered the original led lights from Polaris. The oem Polaris led lights are thicker so I had to do some tweaking to get the set up to work properly, nothing major. Biggest issue I guess was removing the hood by myself. Once the hood is off, the rest goes pretty smooth........until you attempt to reinstall the hood by yourself.......lol.

Thanks! The throw on the 4 led are minimal. It cast about the same amount of light as the 6 halo rings that I had mounted. But the oem center light is nice and bright. I didn’t have to make any adjustments to the aim of the center light. I marked a spot on the wall before starting the project and after installing it matched the same spot I marked. I drove at night and it’s definitely an improvement over the led bulbs I had in the projector lights.

I jumped on the conversion kit as soon as it was available from UAS. I got everything for $1500. I decided not to install the nose cone that was included w/o the Polaris branding. I will place it up for sale soon. The logo doesn’t bother me. I just didn’t feel like ripping apart all the hood to install. I think they increased the price now to $1700 or more, check their website. You can also purchase items of the kit individually.

I had to do some minor alterations to the housing with a small cut off tool to get things to line up better. At first, I thought they sent the wrong parts because it wasn’t lining up, but once you figure it out, it’s not too bad.

I like a cleaner look with all the front lights, so I purchased the oem 4 led lights from Polaris. The switch back lights with the kit are nice but I just wanted them to all be bright white. One of my photos show both led lights installed on each side to show the difference.

The wiring harness is what came with your SS and the cut and splice for the led to run off of your front running lights so no issue there.

I will post up the switch back 4 led lights soon in marketplace if anyone interested. I ran them for 3 days. No issues and they work fine.

Completed the installation of the 2020 conversion kit to update the front end of my 2018 GT. I love the look......best mod ever!

I originally purchased the switchback lights which flashes amber on both led’s for the side with the turn signal. I replaced them with the oem 2020 led’s. I still have the led switchbacks sitting collecting dust at the moment.

Please tell where you purchased that reusable air filter and the part number if you know it. Many thanks, and great job on the polishing!

Purchased it from my local Iron Pony store. It took a couple of days for them to get it in. Not sure of the part number. I would call but they're currently shut down here in Ohio until around May 1st as of now, but who knows since its day to day with this coronavirus.

No check for me! Hope and prays that the money goes to those that REALLY need it. The wife and I currently still have jobs with a nice emergency fund saved to get us through. Many households have both parents unemployed because of covid-19 and have MAJOR life decisions to make when it comes to their next meal, feeding the kids, bills, rent, mortgage, etc. I'm blessed and will continually pray for all those affected, which is pretty much everyone, but some are a lot more worse off than others. Be blessed.

Nice! I really like the changes they did to update the front end and interior, especially the automatic! I'll keep mine and admire this one I guess until I go in for service and it tempts me to sit down and run some numbers....

My SS is a daily driver, so really haven't experienced a battery drain issue. I did however get to work one day and forgot to turn off my heated gloves and 8 hours later she was dead, dead!! Borrowed some jumper cables from my buddy and moved the seat forward and hooked the cables to the jump post and it still didn't start!! Had to remove the panel to get it jumped. Apparently the cables are hooked up correctly. Something I still have to look into why because I made sure everything had a solid connection when I installed the posts myself.

Contact Mitch @ RevDynamics. He walked me through and made some great recommendations while working with me and helping me decide which wheel would be perfect for my set up and desired look. I thought the wheels were just lying around in a warehouse someplace, but he told me my wheels had to be made and cut for the particular offset, etc. I love them and was thinking about getting a 345 wide rear wheel cut to give it a more custom look in the rear.

Pull the cup holders out and you may get a little warm air in the cockpit it does work but I have never tried it at that lower temperature. I do it between 45 and 55 degrees. I even have the PVC elbows to insert in the cup holders so the warm air will blow a little across me and the passenger.

I'll have to give that a try. With my base layer gear and riding gear, not sure that I would even feel the warm air and at such a low temp..... it may be a cold breeze coming in through the cup holders :D

Just looked at her in passing each morning before leaving for work because my wife seems to think my cold is due to riding the SS to work everyday in the teens during the morning hours here in Ohio. I totally disagree because I dress for it and with all my gear, the ONLY think cold on my 35 min commute is my finger tips when I get to work (My heated gloves don't get hot enough to prevent this from happening). I don't want to start any trouble so I decided to give it 5 days to see if my cold improved. Tomorrow is day 5 and I'm pulling the SS back out with sunny skies and 45 degrees in the forecast for the high, perfect riding weather!! The tall windshield does WONDERS!! You don't feel any drafts or air flow with the tall shield and full face helmet on. During the warmer months on long trips, I mount the ipad mini to the dash and angle it towards my wife passenger seat and turn the volume on 5 from the factory unit and you can hear EVERYTHING clear as day going 75 mph down the highway with the roof on or off.
