We did find our Baily at a shelter. So glad we could find him the home he so very much deserves and thanks us for every day, multiple times. Many Pit Bulls are wonderful. But yes, we also saw your same observation.

Thanks for looking good luck. I hope they outlaw those puppy mills. We have local pet supply stores like pet smart that have showings on weekends so you can see the dogs in neutral environments and get a great idea of how they interact with strange people and other animals.

But I did receive this handsome t-shirt. :)

Actually, I think this would be a good candidate for an electric vehicle. Smaller secondary vehicle, lower priced for intended shorter trips while still allowing people to hold onto the good old gas reciprocating engine. Or the younger generation/college student. Or the spoiled wealthy crybaby Gretta Thunberg.

Even if the Republicans do squeak out control of the house and senate, looking at the disasters last two years with the Democrats in full control of all branches of government. The closeness of the election. The flood of indoctrinated young voters taught that America is unjust. Those voters are in the beginning stages of ability to vote (that number will increase dramatically and quickly). The intentional open and free flowing boarders along with the push for illegal immigrants voting rights at local election levels. Fetterman, what can I say?

Socialism is in control; it will wait for a few short years but it's in control.

Ed, I'm with you on just about everything. In a world of correctness, you win but sometimes reaching the end goal is a tricky game and the consequences of failing that end goal could last generations. I do thing your quest is noble. Just vary on how to best reach that goal.

It's taken about 2.5 months since I filed a claim for my Slingshot (Page 273, Post # 5442 in this thread *) and I finally heard from Allstate that they had declared my Slingshot a total loss based on the 19 page estimate they received from a local dealer. The amount Allstate offered me will allow me to replace my Slingshot, so I'm happy with the proposed settlement. I wonder if I can find a turbo'd quad kit conversion for the amount I expect to receive?;) Unfortunately, there's a chance that current life circumstances may leave me w/o a Slingshot.

    * for those unaware of this feature, clicking on the ... shown in the page count of a thread will allow you to specify which page you want to go to.

Some good news, hoping those other circumstance trend favorable. Best of luck, keep posted!

Some good stuff on the Libertarian party. I don't agree with it all but for sure most. At the same time to anticipate 100% is unrealistic, and that applies with republican values. With a few exceptions very much the same as Republican values. But the facts are that it's very unrealistic at any time soon someone from the libertarian party will win, It's also realistic that with values in such close alignment with the Republican party a vote for the libertarian is a vote for democratic values to which I'm not on board with.

I could easily vote for a libertarian but with values so close and no real chance at winning I'm not willing to throw out a vote and allow socialism to take over the country. It's here and taking hold. Once in the majority its extremely difficult to escape. I feel thats something I owe future generations. Time is not something we have the luxury to wait for.

Edit: Time is something we don't have the luxury to wait for.

I actually was impressed by all the check and double check that I went through today. It certainly was an improvement over the last time I voted we’re all I had to do is sign my name and walk in.

This time Jersey pole workers logged into a data base and you signed the computer screen next to your name. Then signed a preprinted ticked with your name arranged in an alphabetical rolodex assigned to your voting district.

    Good stuff and in person.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised today. I went into vote I had to first fill out a piece of paper that had my name, address, signature, and date of birth on it. Then I was tankin to another lady that cross reference that information, and gave me another ticket. I took that ticket over to the lady who brought me to the voting booth and activated the booth for me. Then I voted and printed out my vote.

Then some guy named Gavin Newson took it and put it in the shredder:00008172:.

Thats the process I went through in Jersey. Except no option to print the vote and of course no Newson or Phil Murphey to shred my printed receipt. :)

whats funny is that you think the Repubs are any different. You're EXACTLY the same, just on the other side of the fence.

Why hasn't Trump, Biden, or any other big name super rich politician been charged. MONEY and POWER. They have enough money to pay lawyers to stall the courts and enough power to put in place people that will do their bidding. Judges, etc. Happens on both sides. Believing it's only the Dems is having blinders on.

I hate to say it, but Sparcky is correct - politicians on both sides are corrupt and politicians on both sides use the system to personally enrich themselves - - - Personally I don't understand how anyone could even argue this

    this is not even debatable

...and to which political party and or person would be exempt from above? I have yet to hear of any politician of any political ever running on the premise of corruption. I also am not naive enough to assume someone who has good intensions at some point may become corrupt when placed into a position of power. So, I vote with values the resemble mine. It would be foolish to do otherwise.

What we do know is performance an ethics in past tense and as posted over and over in real time many politicians in the democratic spectrum have very compelling evidence of corruption and they constantly walk away smiling with no consequence. Thats wrong.

Just got back from voting. large turn-out, that despite of the previous 10 straight days of early in person voting at many locations.

NJ finally pushed to the breaking point? Given its history it's far-fetched but I believe it's getting closer. Hopefully other sane states will pull us through.

They are taking that away. Every day. Ride doesn't stop until it stops. Stock market is down due to self-inflicted reasons. I'm in low-risk investments but after the pandemic and supply chain issues economy should be full steam ahead. It's not. Sure, I'm OK and I don't expect to gain all the time but it should be much better. I plan to age 100, going to stay that course. I plan on purchasing a few more slingshots along that ride.

Inflation is way up over 8%, so I gain 2-4 percent on my retirement account. That 2-4 present gain is still a loss if it doesn't keep up with inflation. In any retirement account the more you take out the less future earning potential without the opportunity to contribute. Great, now I only slow bleed and do OK. Thats not winning that's taking.

If you ever watched the show "The Men Who Built America" Vanderbilt, Scott, Rockefeller, Carnegie, J.P. Morgan, Ford, all those extremely successful people who built the industry that made America a powerhouse all had hard driven personality's much like Trump. "Although in my opinion Carnegie was over the top just plain ruthless". With that aside for the most part I want a leader who is strong, steadfast and driven to do what is necessary to keep this county from sliding into some form of socialism. If not, it will slide into some form of socialism.

Like just about everyone I wish Trump would tone it down but If politicians can't handle mean name calling or tweets, they sure as all heck can't handle the kahuna environment necessary in today's environment.

Same, In fact the only time I've ever heard of QAnon is through leftest political statements. I have no clue who they are or what their about.
