In boats (and airplanes) and in cars that aren't setup properly (or with massive amounts of torque), it's called the torque effect, Newton's third law of motion, every action has an opposite reaction. The boat and airplane have their propellors that are causing it to pull in the opposite direction that the propellor is turning.

With the torque of our rear wheel on the SS, I don't see how it could happen, the tire, even spinning, isn't going to cause it to pull sideways.

Is it possible the tires are out of alignment or balance? I could see how that would affect it pulling.

Unless the ECU is doing something with the power steering, but I don't see that happening really.

Sometimes it takes a day or two for people to notice the thread or even able to grab a pic, at least in my limited experience on here, so be patient.

Not all of us check this site every 10 minutes :)

And sorry, I haven't added a sway bar, my 2019 feels really stiff on the turns, I don't feel that I need one.

    Edwardaneal,

That diagram is mighty helpful. I will look further into this.

Still want to replace the Sparco knob, but it looks like more of a job than I thought...

It's easy to do, assuming the boot is the same as the base model. It's just rubber and you start pulling at the edges to have it come out. Once it's loose, you can look under and it should be a 5mm allen screw.

Hopefully DDM won't mind linking their instructions about this from their short shifter, has good pics.

Hello mwarchut and welcome to the show! Lot's of friendly folks here and it's good to see more west coasters showing up. If you have any questions at all, ask away - and some of the smart guys will certainly help you out!

And the rest of us in the nut gallery will make snide comments and make fun of the smart guys...

    Welcome aboard Michael!

Of course, the mud clods are gone, it just seems like things are stained and it's tweaking my OCD.

While I'm not overly crazy on keeping it clean, but when I do wash it, I expect the end result to be as good as the effort I put into it :)

Thanks, it was your recommendation in the other big cleaning thread from a year ago that made me look into lucas and I liked the reviews.

I know a lot of people rave about F11, I'm willing to try the affordable options first.

Everyone has their opinion and all claim to be happy with their pick. Since I don't know what will work, it's prudent to go with something affordable to test it out, if it does, great, saved some $$ for mods. If not, I'll buy the next one up and test it.

I don't know what will work yet.

Ordered the Armor-All Leather wipes and Lucas Slick Mist to start with. The Lucas is a 3 pack with the exterior, interior and tire

I searched for about an hour on the forums looking for someone who has mentioned this.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I took my SS down my road while it was getting repaved and had some mud clods thrown all over it. The paint with it's clear coat cleaned right up. Nothing else has.

My seats are stained and no amount of scrubbing or hitting it with a power washer is taking it out. Also, the black trim on the hood seems to be stained and again, power washer isn't getting it all.

For the trim, I think a soft brush may work, but I don't want to marr any plastic by doing something rash.

I have no idea on the seats, I've tried 3 times now to scrub and power wash.

Installed the cheapo ebay TPMS today in the car, and to truly test things, I installed it on 3 wheels. Installation was pretty easy and took a 30 minute drive into town to test it out.

This Nissan wants 36 lbs in each tire, and this pic was 15 minutes into the drive. It gives a small alarm every 15 minutes, letting me know that one tire is offline.

As I was putting them in the tires, I left one at 25 and let the unit update, it let off an alarm and flashed the screen for about 30 seconds, then the alarm silenced and it flashed the screen. I didn't see how long it was going to go.

Now for the reliability test, to see if it works well over a few weeks, but initial impression is very good.

It comes from China of course, it defaults to Celsius and bar, so just going into the menu to change those, and set the low/high of air pressure and temperature alerts and you are up and going.

I'm going to need to device a mount for this, plan to put it under the dash, to the right of the instrument cluster. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to do this, probably buy a couple pieces of lexan and fashion something.

    Ideas are welcome!

yeah, if they didn't show up in google search first or newbies found them first, I'd not even check over there. I haven't started a new thread there after I was told by EjFord about a much better site :)

Texas has varied prices, I think $70 a year is the cheapest and can go up to about $200, depending on what plate you want. Some plates let you do 6 characters for a motorcycle, others only 3. Their site is confusing, they want you to go buy one from myplates.com which is more expensive, but there are still some cheaper ones available directly from texas.gov. Myplates does have some cool designs, and I think the cheapest is around $110 a year, if you buy it 5 years in advance.

This is all for personalized. If you just want one of the neat plates and they put a random set of characters, it's cheaper.

Of course, this is just plate fees, registration is not included.

Was actually not going to launch this till next week, but got it done early! Reach out to me if you ever need anything man. I will make it up to you!!! :)

    Thank you for your business!!!

SlingTunes, just an FYI, finally got around to using this to install my radio in the 2019 base, and this doesn't fit. They do not have this type of harness in my SS.

Not a great pic, there wasn't a lot of slack in the two wires:

    qx0QSqu.jpg

One is labeled ground, the other power, and they are powered off of the key/acc.

I looked all around behind the dash and down where that wiring is above the tranny, and could not find another empty harness.

So, just FYI, might want to verify my findings and mark your part accordingly, that it won't fit the base 2019.
