Saw this at a car show this weekend.

That will be a lot of exposure, good or bad, for one of the most watched sporting events.

Ray Allen, NBA star known for " the shot" was on the Dan Lebatard show this morning promoting the Slingshot. He admitted to having one and that Polaris was going to advertise during March Madness.

Mike Carson from Livingston,Texas is the owner. I'm not sure about top speed, but it does have a "tiller" style steering, so I'm guessing not more than 40 mph. Sorry I can't be sure.
The pictures were just taken with my Samsung S6. -
I can't believe I misspelled the name. Thanks for the correction. Here's a different view, with the name in 2 different places. Also some of the mechanicals.

My Sling and a 1914 Warwick.
-
I had the opportunity to get this photo op with my Slingshot and a 1914 Warwick that was in the 2016 Cannonball run for vintage motorcycles.
Mike Carson from Texas is the owner. The race is limited to pre-1916 bikes.
It was a rare opportunity to capture 100 years of progress in three-wheel motorcycles.

Anita's my hero.

I really like the one that mounts by your shoulder. That would be my first choice.

Another good week - just has been HOT with heat index in the upper 90s all week. I've become comfortable with sweating.
- Monday - 0 miles, had something bad at lunch
- Tuesday - 46 miles
- Wednesday - 35 miles
- Thursday - 40 miles
- Friday off
- Saturday - 61.1 miles
- Sunday 36 miles.
Had a goal of 215 total miles for the week and made it!
Drove the Sling down to where the events / ride will be next Friday. It's a 3.2 mile loop with about half flat to down hill and the other half uphill.
A lot of tree canopy for shade.
Probably ride 30 - 35 miles Monday and Tuesday then rest and stretch Wednesday and Thursday, and eat pasta, carbs, and hydrate.
I feel your pain. It's a no-win situation during the peak summer heat.

I get "How much does it cost?" right behind "How fast is it?" The quesses for both are all over the place.
-
Another problem about a small town is the local "constables". I know all of them personally and they ask me the standard question "How fast is it?" I poo-poo it and always emphasize it only has a four cylinder. I catch myself looking over my shoulder all the time. It is hard to fly under the radar with these things. I also remind them if they hear anything about someone tearing it up on the backroads it was probably someone else out on a test ride.

Our local paper is published once a week on Wednesday. My friends were telling me they had read that I would be driving my "spider" in the parade. I was all ready to start a thread about demanding a retraction from the paper, until I noticed they misspelled my name too!
Suddenly my indignation about my spider didn't matter near as much. -
I had the pleasure of driving Mrs. Lola Tackett in the annual parade in Deerfield, KS. (population 700).
She asked if my Slingshot could "peel out" and I had to oblige.
The newness hasn't worn off in my area and we got a lot of attention. I had a great time. -
Yes depending on who it is and how tired I might be ...I normally say its an Autocycle... smarter than a motorcycle and a little dumber than a car.
I use the line about it being a very safe motorcycle, or a very unsafe car.
-
Agree, more of a car..It does NOT satisfy the occasional 2 wheel urge. There are times you want it to be a car. On a recent trip the hotel/resort did not allow motorcycles on the grounds. I called before going and tried to get around it but they told me it would have to be parked off grounds. When I showed up, security figured it was a car and let me in.
I never even considered that. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks for the replies to my post. I think it's the Kenwood for me.
-
I am on every damn forum...so about 5. lol. I try to make sure people head this way, but I am promoting the hell out of SSITR to get people out there.
I'm signed up and looking forward to meeting you and any others from the forums while there, if not sooner. I'll be in your general area on Saturday in Pueblo for the NHRA Rockies show.

When my older brother first saw it he said "Why didn't you tell me I could have sold you my VW pipe buggy and saved you $20,000"
REALLY !!!Now that you mention that, I always was attracted to the Manx and bucket T's. Maybe the Slingshot was a fullfillment of my repressed desires.

Only 2 that I know of if you want a pure set up out of the factory is Kenwood and Kicker. The rest you will have to piece together.
All I really want to do is get a small amp that I can wire into the existing speakers and then stream music from my phone. I could use bluetooth speakers but they are usually pretty big and cumbersome, and I already have the factory speakers. I think the ATV community probably has addressed this since most of those don't come with radios.
