A hunk of raw meat and he’ll had them the keys.
There are videos of people that have “guard dogs” in the house. As a test people came in with meat and the dogs walked around with them wagging their tails as they freely went room to room.

My Akitas were the same way. No nonsense, family first, death before dishonor types. Jishin (malek would actively hunt down people & pin them down if he thought that they didn't belong. Little Dog (female) was not like that - she didn't play with her prey.

All that said, never saw either dog make a wrong call, not once in 25 years.

I had pretty much decided that my first mod would be a safety mod instead of a performance mod - was all set to order stick-on convex mirrors from Slingmods.

But then I noticed the field of view on both sides was pretty good! And then I saw the sign etched into *both* mirrors "Objects in mirror may closer than they appear"
BOTH sides have wide-field convex mirrors!

    Maybe Polaris *does* listen! :D

Everything went to shit. Sitting at home waiting on the AC guy. 101 heat index. The compressor melted down, black goo all over. No idea WTF I am gonna do now. SOB I am pissed. Been waiting a year for this trip.
and I thought the 02 sensor was my biggest issue. Hopefully I see you all Wed morning, I am not sure at this point in time.

Waiting on the AC guy is the worst...

    The drama continues...

    From this morning's email:

Motorists on the University of Arkansas campus are no longer required to pull head-in to a parking space as before, except in angled parking spaces.

In its meeting on Friday, Sept. 14, the Transit, Parking, and Traffic Committee reversed an earlier decision that had prevented motorists from backing in to a parking space or from pulling all the way through a space so that the front of the vehicle faced outward.

This requirement was originally put in place to prepare the campus for technology that could monitor parking areas by scanning license plates. Since Arkansas only requires a plate on the rear of the vehicle, all vehicles on campus were required to park so that the rear plate was exposed.

For now, however, the technology will not be used, so the head-in parking requirement is not necessary. Again, this does not apply to areas in which there is angled parking. Motorists must still pull in to those spaces.

Gonna see if I can convince the Captain to ride up with me for a few hours on Wednesday morning. I saw someone say that the event will be based at the Best Western Conference center, is that correct? Also, will I be able to park at BW if I get there early? I didn't officially register for this shindig, took delivery of my slingshot last Saturday - about 2 weeks earlier than expected. :)
Hope to meet some of y'all in person!

    Doc

At the University, the will ticket you the first time you back in - 2nd time they put a boot on your car. All the lots are straight in parking except the parking garages.

They also charge faculty $200 a year for parking and keep converting parking lots into sorority houses. It's okay, we've got at least 10,000 spaces for some 30,000 students & faculty to fight over!

If you folks find this kid, I would love to see some video & pictures! Bet if you called the local news station you could get them to come out and film the kids ride - awesome publicity for our group and the Slingshot in general.
    Really hope this works out!!!

Okay, dealer & I have worked out a price, and I've got dibs on a 2019 SLR. "Sure, the sales guy says, we can finance it for you!"
I tell him another dealer offered me 4.99%
"Oh no," he says, "that rate's just for unsold 2018 models... best I can give you is 7.99% on a 2019."
I know manufacturers sometimes offer special rates to clear out old stock, but jumping me from 5 to 8% seems abusive.
I've got excellent credit by the way (low 800's).
Anyone give me some insight here?
