Display MoreWhen I gutted the cat +2 mpg
Header and duels +1 mpg since cat was deleted it did not make big as difference but would have been a +3 mpg
Added top - 2 mpg
CAI I did not notice any difference in HP or mpg
Replaced O2 sensor +2 mpg surprise it really made a difference.
70 or lower speeds 26 mpg
70+ normal speed for me 22 - 24 mpg
180 miles a tank average
Curious about your changing out the O2 sensor.
Did the old one go bad or was this a performance upgrade?
I am almost 7 years out from my major 'clock stopper'. I changed jobs, moved to a quieter area, changed my diet & dropped 60 lbs.
It CAN be done, but discipline is needed. Fortunately, navy men are no strangers to that. Strength, prayers, and people who love & support you are the main ingredients in your recovery. We'll supply the love & prayers, I'm certain you have all the strength and courage you need.
God bless, & get well soon!
Welcome to the family!
The best place to be to help you get the most out of your Slingshot experience!
I pay close attention to these kind of things....they have been saying it for years....facing rear in the back seat....
Half right again... no one recommends child seats up front any more, they haven't for 20+ years.
Wasn't this thread about helmets... for adults?
Ever seen an infant in a helmet? Didn't think so.
Would any parent trust their child's life to your amateur opinion? Don't think so either.
21 years ago after my youngest was born, nurse came in & discussed properly securing my son in a child's safety seat - before we left the hospital!
Oh yeah.... they said nothing about helmets.
That’s the reason they want babies to sit facing the rear of the car in car seats.....their head is so heavy and their neck muscles are not developed enough.
Not true, actually. Forward facing seats caused infants to be injured by air bags. This is why only front seats are turned backwards, and why ITSB recommended all infants sit (forward facing) in the BACK seat.
Price is always the first ting we look at, but you also have to consider customer service. I have never heard of this DSS, but I know if I buy a part from DDM or ZZP, they are a phone call away if I have questions or need support. Dave has the tech support phone with him constantly, you can call or text him anytime during an install or if you need help with a product. I'm sure ZZP has something similar.
Kyle's service at ZZP is spectacular!
so sense I have a 2016 that has the small battery but it doesnt have the extra heat shield of the 2016 .5 does that make it an S1.25?
I wouldn't think so... "generations" are usually major redesigns every 5-8 years. Within a generation, there are always tweaks.
I still think that 2015-19 is gen-1.
I would say S-3 ...... 2017 received a frame redesign, bodywork tweaks (fenders, roll-bars, etc.), seats, lights, as well as an electronics upgrade and the addition of wider rear tire, shocks, brakes, and roof options ....
.....
.
Cool! So I've got an S-2! 🤠
So if the new Corvette is the C-8 (8th gen), then is the new redesign of the Slingshot the S-2?
Looking at the teaser photos, all I can say is I'm glad I got mine in the 2019 model year.
Lowest African American unemployment rate ever.
Lowest Hispanic unemployment rate ever.
This isn't about rich folks, it's about those that have traditionally been crushed by a welfare system that is tantamount to slavery, where the Democrats' leash is made of money.
Its about people getting off of welfare and getting up on their own two feet.
Reagan was right: "The very best social program is a JOB!"
You're gonna love it!
Welcome to the family!
2 pm here and its hot and still going up
Yah.... that's one thing I remember fondly from my time in the desert.
The Captain doesn't miss it though, she's a Long Beach girl - she really hated the desert & was thrilled to leave for the Ozarks in 2014.
The Captain & I took a trip to Mount Magazine today and traveled down the Pig Trail (Arkansas hwy 23) - a favorite twisty route for folks who visit here.
There is a major repaving project going on over most of the length of the Pig Trail from Brashear to Ozark, about 25 miles of roadway. Sadly, the entire length isn't being repaved, but about 60% is getting completely resurfaced. The work seems excellent and finished sections are smooth as the proverbial baby's bottom. The unretouched sections are generally in superior shape, and it looks as though the job should be complete before the Eureka Springs gathering in September.
The bad news is that we drove over a lot of oiled & tarry gravel today and we were showered with pebbles from cars as much as 50 yards ahead of us. I can definitively say that stock fenders SUCK, and tomorrow I have to clean gravel bits and tar off Ruby - and get tar spots out of the Captain's blouse. (Methanol... lots of methanol and baking soda!)
Tlaib calls for $20-an-hour minimum wage: 'I can't allow people to be living off tips'

DAMN !!! If the Dems go much higher I may flip a few burgers myself
That's more than a starting teacher, cop, firefighter makes, and not too far off what I was hired at when I took my current job at the University... except that I had to have a PhD and 10+ years experience even to apply.
"Minimum" my ass!
Taking some friends out hunting the skies tonight with my big binoculars!
Looking at Jupiter with Orion BT-100 binos with 13mm eyepieces at 42x.
Raw looks way better.... as long as it isn't harder to keep clean!
I am so tempted to do this but when I asked around locally the consensus was not to lubricate the belt. Why is this? Belt slippage? Dirt attraction? I would love to use a silicone lubricant but I am hesitant since most people you ask say it's a no no for drive belts. A polaris dealership mechanic when asked recommended dabbing some grease on the pulley contacts. Common sense tells me it will attract dirt over time.
"Dry" or silicone lube does not attract dirt. Eases the natural side-to-side motion of the belt over the sprocket as you accelerate & decelerate. Keeping belt clean also eases this motion.
Dirt between belt & sprocket causes noise AND wear. Dry lubricants also decrease wear.
I have been doing this for 8500 miles, no tendency I can see of dry lube attracting dirt. Give if a try one time.
- remove belt guard
- clean belt with hot water, good dish soap, stiff nylon brush, rinse thoroughly & allow to dry (you need to move the sling a few feet as you wash, rinse, and as it dries.)
- once clean and dry, spray with dry lube & give it 15-20 min for carrier solvent to flash off.
Take a ride & see what you think. I found the results VERY dramatic.
Conolidine is a plant alkaloid, non-opiate pain reliever. It does have side effects similar to morphine. Not clear at this time if it has addictive properties. Has not been studied clinically in human trials that I could find, but has been subjected to animal testing, primarily with mice. Not currently regulated by the FDA, not sure if I would trust it myself. Recommend you use it with caution and talk about it with your doctor.
