Someone that bought a used 2018 SS removed a Sebring Tuning exhaust and upgraded to something else. He's giving away the Sebring. Is it worth my time to take it off his hands and put it on my 2017?

nicely done. I felt like I was watching a pomo for a WWE wrestler.

Thx! My first time using a gimbal, I need practice. Shot on an iPhone 6s btw.

You should send it to Polaris, they seem to have a problem with promoting the product!!!

HA! Yes they certainly do. I had no idea what a Slingshot was until last June, by July I had one. I made the mistake of test driving one, within a week I had it. :D

Hey guys, I've finally gotten all of the video equipment needed to start making videos of the sling (minus the drone, hopefully soon). I'm a graphic designer/photographer by trade but never had an interest in video or editing until I bought the sling. Over the past few months I've been learning how to shoot and edit with Adobe Premiere. If you're interested in following my progress, here is just the first of hopefully many videos I hope to make...

    Great info, thank you!

I've actually heard good things about the Achilles tires from some of the import car forums. I have never heard how well they wear or how long they last...but immediate responses seem to be that they are great tires for the price. I know that they were either part of Pirelli or worked with Pirelli for a lot of years...but not sure if that partnership still exists.

I think I'll be the guinea pig and give it a go. I only have 3400 miles on my stock rear, it probably won't last another 1,000. How far are you guys running the rear past the wear bars?

Saw and orange and black one today going the opposite direction in Lower Burrell, PA with two guys in it. I turned around to try to catch up to them but no luck in finding them. There aren’t many around here....

I'm from Hbg, PA. People tell me there are a lot in the area but I don't ever see them when I'm out in mine.

Let's see, 2017? This SlingShot is now over two years old, I would think that if somebody actually had a valid complaint about this it would have been done back when it was originally purchased, or actually, before it was purchased??

    Bill

It was purchased used last year, didn't notice it until I got it home. Just wanted to see if others had the same issue and if they had filed claims. The SS in the showroom didn't look to have these same issues.

Does anyone else have this issue? Mine is a 2017 S.

There are areas on my hood that you can actually see the molded outlines through the finish when viewed in certain lighting, it's not hard to see most of the time. My dealer is having their open house in a couple of weeks and the Slingshot rep will be there. I'm taking mine in for the seat belt recall that day and wanted to see about a warranty hood replacement before my warranty is up the end of next month.

I've noticed the same thing throughout most of the body, wings, back deck, etc.

I was at the dealer this past week and checked their showroom stock and it didn't look like any of the 2018-19s had this issue on the hood, however the same thing was visible on their back decks on either side of the fin.

July of 2018 I was shopping cycletrader and found a private sale, 2017 S model with 145 miles on it, exactly a year old. The owner bought it on a whim, his wife hated it so he never drove it the entire year he owned it. I made the deal over the phone, drove 150 miles to pick it up and took cash. The thing was in showroom condition and I saved over $5k. When I met him at the DMV it had exactly 301 miles on it. My 2017 Slingshot has been flawless, no problems and it seems to have quieted down now that I have 2900 miles on it. I've driven it all winter, every weekend, even in temps under 30° and I live in the northeast.

Thank you! I could've sworn it never looked like that. :) I usually keep this thing in pristine condition but since it's gotten cold here in the northeast, I haven't gotten the hose out to clean off the backside. And yes, the debris does like to collect on top of the drive.

In PA it’s an auto cycle with a motorcycle plate and you have to follow motorcycle rules.

I'm from PA. Since I don't have a MC license does that mean I must wear a helmet? I always wear it anyway, but on occasion I've run to the store without it.
