I'll get the studded snow tires put on and grab my cold weather gear. Should only take me about 9hrs to get there. ;) Man I am jealous. It's going to be a while before I can get some solid seat time in. Below is a car on the street I live on. He should be able to drive it again sometime around Mid March. lol

Just thought I would post this up for those of you running our turbo kit and are looking for a little more power or for those of you considering our turbo kit and want to go right to the stage 2 kit. If you are going right to the stage 2 kit with the initial turbo kit, you'll just buy the injectors and manual boost controller separately with your kit so you do not get charged for 2 tunes essentially. You end up saving $121.00.

This is only for customers that already have our ZZP turbo kit with tune. This is everything you need to never have tread on your rear tire. It comes with everything needed to increase your boost to 8psi-9psi.

    It includes:

    • 60# Siemens Injectors
    • Manual Boost Controller
    • PCM Update

You can find the product here https://zzperformance.com/coll…t-for-slingshot-turbo-kit If you have any questions regarding this, or any of our products, feel free to email me directly at Kyle@zzperformance.com

ZZP is now releasing ported heads for the Slingshot! The direct link to the product can be found here https://zzperformance.com/coll…oducts/ecotec-ported-head I have cores in bound which should be here by the end of the week. The cores carry a refundable $100 core charge that you will get back once we get your old head back. Alternatively, you can send me your head and I will port that and send it back and you can circumvent the core charge process all together. This is a great mod for the NA and the turbo setups!

A ported head increases airflow by reducing restriction therefore more high rpm horsepower. Increasing head flow creates more horsepower at the same boost level and works very well with aftermarket cams. Each head comes fully assembled minus cams, rockers, and lash adjusters.

All head come with the following:

    • Gasket match
    • Polish and blend runners
    • Blend Bowls
    • Reground valves
    • Reground valve seats
    • 82# Valve Springs & Titanium Retainers (included)
    • Fully assembled minus cams, rockers, and lash adjusters.

All flowed at 28", 3.5" bore plate, exh had a 1 5/8" flow tube, and stock valves (int. 35mm, exh. 30mm) Do NOT be fooled by other venders flowing heads without a flow tube, in the real world people run headers, not open heads without headers or manifolds attached.

(These numbers are an LSJ head, LE5 heads will flow very similar)

Stock Intake Flow Intake % Gain Ported Exhaust Flow Exhaust% Gain
    76 1.9 72.5 0
    152 0 146 5.4
    216.5 1.4 172 10.2
    232 5.4 178 12.3
    242 7.6 182 13
    247 9.1 185.5 13.

    Core charge drop down:

This amount is refundable when you return your stock head. If your core head needs repairs, the core refund will be docked to cover the repair.

While you have the head off it would also be a great time to replace the non-reusable head bolts with a set of ARP reusable head studs. You can find them here https://zzperformance.com/coll…roducts/ecotec-head-studs You will also need a new head gasket for the head swap and you can find those here https://zzperformance.com/coll…roducts/le5-head-gasket-1 As always, if you have any questions, you can always email me directly at Kyle@zzperformace.com

I know Kyle is gunning for my speed record. But what he dont know is that I have alot of boost that hasn't been used yet. :)

Is their a 1/2 mile event coming up? Or any spring car event coming up? I would show up at a goat judging right now. I really am not being picky. I'll take a syrup festival or a barn raising.....

I have one thing to say to everyone

    TRACK DAY

rabtech You're getting close to the efficiency level of that 7163. This year will be good. You're not the only one modding over the winter. ;) But I am with you man, just WAITING for the first warm day. I hate this dreary cold weather. I took my SS out drifting behind ZZP last week in the snow and ice just to drive it. We're looking for an old tire to stud and take it out again.

So far the only 1/2 that we can participate in that I have seen is the Battle Creek Speedfest here in MI in July. I'll definitely be there. If Indy has another, I'll definitely go to that one as well. It's unfortunate that Wanna Go Fast took out their motorcycle class last year as they run more events than anyone.

    Friday July 5th * Saturday July 6th * Sunday July 7th

Tickets go on sale March 1st 2019 at 12pm Eastern/11am Central

I would also be down to do a track day. It would be a long haul but not too terrible.

Well I've finally gotten a chance to start this front lip project. Here are a few photos. It's mounted and solid but nowhere near finished or fully supported. The end game will be for it to have enough overall support for a 150# person to stand on it. However, I will be testing that with one of the lighter weight females here first. Momma didn't raise no fool. ;)

I do not have a top and have one partialdigital gage. It's all about where you mount it and the angle it's on. I originally wanted to mount gauges on the black "dash" above the factory cluster but those leave it on an upward angle which will always get reflection and if you mount them facing straight on the windshield support same issue. The 2 best places I've used so far is in a pod with a sun shade directly in front of you right behind the windshield and to the right of the factory gauge cluster under the "dash" but even that gets blocked a bit by the steering wheel.

I do not know if it supports cruise control or not but you could look into a fuel tech stand alone. Most of them are about the same price as the Haltech PCM with their gauge cluster, some are more some are less, but its a full color customizable display that's all contained in the digital dash. You can check them out here https://www.fueltech.net/collections/ecus

I like the nest products, but I think they charge too much for their cloud service especially considering they charge for additional cameras.

I agree. When I first started using them when it was still Dropcam I THINK you could have up to 7 cameras. The Ring Pro covers my entire front yard and records 1min segments when someone passes into the set coverage zone so I do not need cloud storage for that but I do have the cloud storage for the back yard, side, and interior cameras. I had tried a few other brands and looked at a few systems my friends are using and at the end of the day the user interface wasn't as good and neither was the coverage or picture quality of the Nest cameras so I bend over for the Nest payments........for now.

I use all NEST stuff with the facial recognition. Pretty neat so you do not get a notification everyday when the mail person shows up or your significant other, kids, or pet is in the house. The phone app is pretty great also as you can have more than one property on there. I also use a Ring Pro for a doorbell which is also pretty great. I use that with the August Smart Lock which is nice if you get a large package you do not want sitting outside. You can open the door for the delivery person and lock it when they leave. So far none of them have gone inside and taken anything while making a delivery. "Sir here is your son's new power wheels and by the way I'm taking your 70" TV." lol

We have a couple Tesla's here at ZZP so new EVs are always interesting to me. The concept here is cool but it only charges on 120v or 220v so it will charge pretty slow and the ranges are not all that impressive. It's definitely not something you would want to go cross country in unless they developed a massive charging network and had something that charged quicker. What I found interesting though is it has about the same power as a NA slingshot but with double the torque. I'm guessing those numbers are based off the base model and I wonder if going to the largest battery offered would get you more power also? Anyway, kind of a neat read and idea.

Newest addition to the family. EAA MKA1923 Bullpup 12 guage shotgun

That is HOT!!!!!! I've been looking at those. I'm a bullpup fanboy. My only problem is I have my heart set on a Standard Manufacturing DP-12. The problem is that it costs double the amount of what you purchased. I've been wanting to shoot one of these EAAs but none of the ranges here have one on the demo wall yet. Keep us posted. Would love to know what you think of it after you get some mags through it. Congratulations on a great buy, that thing looks amazing.
