    ORDERED!!!!!!

IS IT HERE YET>>>>ISI IT HERE YET>>>>IS IT HERE YET???

Thank you Kyle D , just placed my order, but not sure if the discount code you provided me for the Military discount worked. Could you please verify for me and make the adjustment in the billing. Thanks, buddy!

Thank you both for your order! It is much appreciated. Roadhawg we sold 12 of these yesterday, can you please email me with your forst and last name on the order or the order number along with the discount code it gave you? None of the orders had the discount applied. Please shoot me an email to kyle@zzperformance.com and I can get this sorted out with accounting today. Thanks again for the orders guys.

I spoke with Tyler at ZZP a few days ago and he said it would be a few weeks or more before they had more brace kits in stock. The order has been placed with the laser cutter, but this whole virus thing has slowed production. I asked him to add my email address to their list of those they'll notify as soon as they're available.

The braces are going live now. You can get one here https://zzperformance.com/coll…lingshot-pinion-brace-kit

The site shows they are sold out. any idea when they will be available. Also will the stage 1 exhaust that you sold individually ever be sold like that again without buying the whole kit.

    Thanks, Mike

Kyle D Was wondering if there was a waiting list or something for the pinion brace kit. I am really interested in one and right now my sling in on a lift having other stuff done and now would be the perfect time to install.

    Thank you

These are actually going live now. You can get one here https://zzperformance.com/coll…lingshot-pinion-brace-kit It may take a day to get one out as we are swamped with orders and operating on a skeleton crew of 6-10 versus our normal 56 employees. But we are not backed up too badly.

    Kyle D

Does the batch of pinion braces you are making now have any modifications done to them that will clear the welter 2.5” exhaust without having to modify the exhaust?

It does not. We looked into this and with where the material would need to be removed at would compromise the strength of the lower connecting bolt. The other thing is even if we did modify the brace, it still may not fit some WP exhausts as I am finding that fitment on most of them isn't consistent from one to the next.

Kyle D I am also interested in the pinion brace any updated time frame?

We should have them back in stock at some point between today and Wednesday. I just got done powder coating a batch on Friday last week and the kitting guy is now making up bolt packages for the kit and getting them all boxed up. 1 stick of billet will make 23 braces. I will have 23 available and will be starting another batch next week.

Kyle would you be willing to start a waiting list ?? As I would be willing to preorder and pay a deposit .

So if thats a possibility I would like to get my name on it and I'm sure a few more would to.

I can start a waiting list for products. No need for a deposit. Just shoot me an email to Kyle@zzperformance.com and let me know what product you are interested in. Alternatively, if it is a product on our website https://zzperformance.com/collections/slingshot and it is listed as sold out, there is also a red box on the right side of the screen that says in stock reminder. If you click on that, you can put your email in there and as soon as it is put back in stock on the site, you will be sent an email. If it is something not on the site yet like the rear exit, shoot me an email and I can email you when it's released.

We are currently making more braces but manufacturing is taking longer as with most places here shut down we are having to order materials in from out of state. I'm hoping to have more ready to go in 2-3 weeks.

The Stage 1 NA exhaust was always a header and muffler combo because they were a v-band connection and would not work with anything else. We discontinued that setup due to poor sales and it was pretty loud and droney. We are releasing the header again but with our rear exit exhaust which you can see here

The exhaust will come with the header, 3" down pipe, and 2.5" exhaust that runs through the trans tunnel and will also include a transmission mount and a license plate relocation kit. It will sell for $1349.99 which is $150 less than the 2" Welter sells for and $650 less than their 2.5" sells for. They also only use a 2.5" down pipe and not a 3" like we do. If you have any questions feel free to email me at kyle@zzperformance.com or you can call me at 616.421.4296.

So - Kyle D - - is this brace something that you would recommend for people with totally stock NA power trains or is this only needed for boosted applications?

The angle drives breaking do not seem to discriminate between boosted or NA slingshots. There are plenty of people that had stock Slingshots who broke their angle drives. Its more about the shocking motion the yoke of the angle drive gets when you're off and back on the gas quickly or doing a burn out or leaving the line hard. From what I have seen most of them seem to crack/shatter in the same spot and it would be between 10 o clock and 12 o clock if you were looking at the the right angle drive from under the Slingshot where the drive shaft goes into the yoke of the angle drive.

I’m running into this issue right now. I have the welter 2.5in and I can’t get the pinion brace to fit. I don’t think I can move the exhaust far enough to make it fit either. I’d love some thoughts on mods to do to make this work. I emailed Kyle D as well to get this thoughts. Here are some photos

I talked with Kyle and he has run into this issue with the 2.5” exhaust. He said that he used a rubber mallet and bent in the exhaust where the pinion brace is hitting the exhaust for clearance. It would be nice if Kyle D could modify the pinion brace where it is hitting the exhaust. Maybe adding a chamfer too the pinion brace would eliminate the issue. Hope this helps. Good luck

I emailed you back Adam but will respond here also. I have had 2 Slings with the welter duals in the shop. The first one was fine but I am guessing it was the 2". I did not check the size. The other Sling we have in the shop currently does have the 2.5" and we did have to clearance the pipe running past the brace to make it fit. I have brought this up to the fab guys to see if we can modify the brace for the next run.

I haven't been doing much other than working from home and working out in my basement gym trying to not pack on weight. All of ZZP is working from home for the most part. We have 3 fab guys making parts all day and 3 guys in shipping doing the job of what we normally have 7 guys for. I go in a couple times a week to catch up on PCM flashing and install any parts that come in for the Slings we have in the bay. Michigan is 3rd in the country right now for infectious cases.

My son has been with my mom for 2 weeks and will be for at least 2 more. My mom is in her 70s and is high risk for getting sick and she definitely would not make it if she got the virus. She watches my son normally 1-2 days a week and with me being considered high risk since I am still going to work and out and about he is staying with her so I wouldn't potentially infect my son and he potentially infect my mom. Other than face time everyday, I haven't seen my son in 2 weeks and won't for at least 2 more. It's been a little rough. My dad is also in his 70s so I have been doing the grocery shopping for both of them and delivering their groceries so they can minimize their risk.

I think a big part of the problem in MI is even with the shut down that was put in place 2 weeks ago nobody is staying home here. You drive around and you'd never know the state was shut down aside from a lot of empty parking lots for "non essential" businesses. There's still rush hour traffic in the morning and at 5pm, the parks, beaches, and hiking trails are all full of people hiking, playing disc golf, volley ball, soccer, etc. This week and next week are supposed to be our peak weeks so I'll be curious to see what happens and how high our number goes to. We've been getting 1400+ new cases every day for about a week. Stay safe out there.

I had a feeling he was a lot of talk or someone lied to him. He says he has intake, full exhaust, BNR tune, and running E85. Like I said...I was running on 6.5 lbs...which equates to around 275hp on the Hahn stage SST/X kit...give or take...and I was reeling him in pretty easily. Still an impressive set up.

Yeah he was probably 180whp at best on that setup. You had him by about 100whp but he was probably close to 300lbs-400lbs lighter. They only weigh about 1550 wet so call it roughly 1750 with driver. Last time I weighed in at the drag strip I was at 2000 full of fuel with me in it. I would think you may be a little heavier than that with the Trak Hamr kit and extra wheel.

I recently met some new 3 wheeled owners in my area and we were able to actually get out for a little bit yesterday for a quick ride. I was seriously impressed with the T-rex. Much quicker than I expected.for.not being boosted at this altitude. The Vanderhall claims he has 345hp...I don't know of any running that kind of power and am a little sceptical considering I am.only running 6lbs of boost on my Hahn set up and I was reeling him in every time he took off.

The Vanderhalls don't make any where near what they claim. We've had a few here. They claim 180hp out of the stock 1.4T LUV/LUJ Ecotec engine. This is odd because GM only claims 134hp on the same engine that comes in the Sonic/Cruze platform. When we pulled the stock tune file, it was MORE conservative than a stock Sonic/Cuze file. When we got it on our Mustang dyno We had a couple that made 100whp, and another make 110whp. The intakes are pretty restrictive. With our down pipe and tune we picked up 40whp so they all left making 140-150whp. Even if you factored in a 20% drive train loss and went off crank hp there isn't ANYONE making 345hp. And certainly not on a stock turbo. Stock turbo is going to get you to about 165whp. With our new V3 turbo upgrade for that market, stage 2 cams, every bolt on we make, and running on E85 we made like 262whp.
