I went with the BFG G force Comp 2 Summer version - great tires but with the turbo and my lead foot I estimate 3K on the rear. Fronts will most likely out last the bike

No Turbo, Got 16,901 miles on the rear (OEM) of the 2015 before I traded.

Ej, how do the Nitto's compare to the stock tires, ride, handling, etc.

The ride is definitely a little smoother, broke them in on a weekend ride to South Carolina 8 - 11 Apr 2016 a little over 1800+ miles in cold, warm, and 200 miles of rain,
All seamed to handle well. The rain, I slowed down some coming north on I75 and
than I74. Some of the guys here seem to really like them and these are guys I learned
to respect there thoughts on a variety of topics. They do lots of research.

Only had 7000 miles on the 2016 when I changed the tires --- had a damaged rear tire that needed to be changed so I bite the bullet and got three Nitto's. the trip to SC and than to SSITS thought the matched set would be best.

Georgia and I have volunteered with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and
the Ride for Kids for 12 years. Some heart breaking stories of what these young
Kids and Families go thru. Because the Families and Kids come out to the Ride
we get to meet and get to know them particularly in are small community with lots of Kids with problems... Want to see a big burly Biker cry, come to a Ride for Kids event.

WOW Ej!! You truly are a mile hog.
    A little envious.

Once in a while I'll punch it just a little. Had to do it one day when a 'youngster'
on a crotch rocket pulled up beside me and asked....just commented that it was a little old mans trike---as I left him in shock.

I could probably show a picture of some of the OLD wooden storm windows I
painted this week----not really to cool to look at but it does give me $$$.$$ for gas for the Slingshot. As a residential painting contractor I do some neat homes
just not for a motorcycle forum.

On my 2015 I got 16,901 on rear tire...it was time to change so just bought a
2016 --- well I got a 2016 for other reasons --- it was about time for a new tire.
I just put new tires on the 2016 --- had a damaged rear and was getting ready
for several long weekend trips so changed all three to Nitto 555 and now have put 2500 miles on then in 3 weeks so far great.

Pretty much depends how one wants to ride. Since Feb 2015 living in Northern
Indiana I have put 27,000+ miles on my Slingshot. Some times you just need to get home --- I ride and only trailered to Florida in Jan 2016 for a 3 wk vacation.
Weekend of 8 -- 11 Apr 2016 I rode to South Carolina 710+ miles for a weekend visit. Coming home had 350 miles of nice, 200 miles of cold rain, and final 150 miles of dry and cold. Did need to do a good cleaning but I just love to ride so just clean.

A big thanks to Alpha Power Sports and Cycle Springs for steeping up to support
a cause that has become near and dear to me over the last 12 years. The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the major funder of research into the cause and cure of pediatric brain tumors.

Check out http://www.RideforKids.org and join in and support the Ride closest to you.
I rode down to South Carolina 8 - 11 Apr 2016 for the South Carolina ride. We
had 10 Slingshots at the Ride putting smiles on lots for Kids faces. At all Ride for Kids events the young brain tumor survivors come out to the Ride and ride with us along with their family members (lots of smiles kids and parents).

Me not a turbo guy --- just a slow poke --- but going to have to buy some tickets.

Rab, I'm going to have to visit Haleyville, AL so you can teach me how to build a web site. built several using 'FrontPage' but that doesn't work anymore. Go Daddy and their system was driving me nuts so I have just sat on it for a while.
