We’re leaving out early for SSITS on the 26th or we would hook up and ride down with y’all. @Goats_Hogs, we’re only bout 40-45 minutes from you. We get over in your neck of the woods every so often, go to Amish store in Fountain City about once a month, have ate at the little family diner in Fountain City a handful of times. We’re hauling our Sling to Maggie Valley (enclosed trailer), have plenty of room if ya need us to take anything down for ya, just holler.

Welcome… new to forum also, lots of good, useful info here.
We live in Ohio, smack dab between Dayton, OH and Richmond, IN, bout 20 minutes from state line. We ride out to Whitewater/Brookville Lake area few times a year and try to get to Brown County at least once. We’re headed up to Plymouth Friday morning to bring Sling home. -
Registered… ended up renting a place close to Jonathan Creek Inn. Leaving out early on the 26th, should arrive in MV early afternoon.
Got our Blister Beanie helmets in the mail yesterday, wanted to be sure to have skid lids in case we get stopped. Supposed to be the smallest & lightest D.O.T. approved helmets, at least that’s what “Mad Dog” from SkootDog Motorcycle Leather & Gear claims. Don’t know about that, but they are small and won’t take up much storage space.
Have an install appointment with vendor Tuesday morning, will have Sling tied up for 8-9 hours. Hope to get some riding in Sunday and Monday, maybe try to catch up with a group, I think we’ll be more in a ride n’ see mode than turn n’ burn. Besides that, don’t have the ponies to keep up with many of you anyways.

Thanks a lot @WraithSS appreciate it.

@ThomaSS close, but slightly different.
Front: 20" x 9" with Nero GT 275/30ZR20
Rear: 22" x 11" with Nero GT 315/25ZR22What I really wanted to ask and I see now I never did with my post. Running air ride, basically same tire/wheel setup. Hoping I'm going to be pleased with this setup from a driving/handling perspective? Thought you may be able to provide some insight there. I understand you have some upgrades to suspension I don't.
-
Correct, I am running the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT all the way around. It is their max performance summer tire and is asymmetric. Here is a pic of the tread pattern to give you an idea:The only issue I have had is an issue any high performance summer tire would, when it's cold the tire loses some traction. As for the front end handling I have done a lot of upgrades to the suspension as well that have made the slingshot handle remarkably well. RRR strut bar, rebound and height adjustable air suspension, DDM sway bar, DDM sway bar mounts, and DDM end links.
@WraithSS looks to have very similar setup with what we’re having installed. Sling still up at Rev Dynamics, bought tire package off Mitch. Ended up going with 22’s all the way around, had Corbin bags installed too, told Mitch I wanted to go as wide as I could on rear. Went with Ferrada FR1 wheels, after Mitch crunched the numbers (with I think tire calculator and such), had to go with Pirelli P Zero Nero GT instead of Hankook or Toyo. If I recall correctly…
Fronts: 22 x 9 on P Zero Nero GT 255/35ZR 99Y XL
Rear: 2 x 10.5 on P Zero Nero GT 305/30ZR 105Y XL
Also had digital air ride installed. @WraithSS is this setup pretty close to what your running? Haven't seen it yet, gonna wait until we pick it up. Mitch said "been getting a lot of compliments on it in the shop from customers, everyone loves your wheels."

@ThomaSS question about your front pods and speakers, looks like the front pods have a depth of 2 3/16in (according to slingmods) and most speakers im looking at are listed as 2 1/2in or deeper. Looks like the Memphis you used are 2 1/2 deep as well (according to Crutchfield), did you have any issues with the depth of those speakers? I really want front and rear pods but want to make sure I can put the same speakers in both. Thanks
I scrapped all that jazz of putting system together on my own. Hooked up with SlingTunes, explained to Shawn my vision, he's on it and working with me to get it done. @ACarl84 I forgot to add I never went as far as ordering anything, I know very little about all that, just enough to be dangerous. Sorry... can't help ya out with depth issues, but I'm sure someone on here can.

Good looking Sling!

Got it all figured out. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

Sounds like Inside Arm Rest speaker pods a better option. I think I read somewhere with the Waterfall Center Console pods you'll lose ability to use rear cup holder.
-
How well you can hear them going down the road was a concern, thank ya Trooper, appreciate it.

I’m not very schooled on this stuff, bout like a deer in headlights. I do not want to give up any storage space. Below is what I put together, hoping some stereo gurus can chime in and guide.

Yes
Cool... thanks!

Will the Slingtunes folks be at Maggie Valley?

If I had to do over and know what I know now, would have looked real hard at a base model, although may have still bought the Blue Fire, don’t know. I know what you’re sayin’ @KayTwo we bought ours for the color also, with the mods we’re doing and have done we try to stay true to what it is, like you, don’t want to lose that.

Just went and picked it up. I'm glad it was only about 30 minutes away. 36 degrees outside and I about froze before I got home. I can tell you that a taller windshield will be my first purchase.
I'll bet that was a cold, cold ride. Welcome and happy b-day.
