well, thought I was gonna be the first to say I had to replace one. Filled and forgot... and there was no going back to find it as it was a group ride across the state and didn't find it until the next fill up. Replaced it with a pearl black painted to match, now have a plain backup in the side bag just because. I've never had to use it since as I sit the painted one in the seat with each fill up but I have had to loan it out to others that had to learn the same lesson over the years.

It's out now.... did kids clutch at buddys place as he has a real lift and let me and kid do it and kept an eye on us to make sure wasn't doing stupid shit... Well I put his old drive shaft in stupid spot and lowered truck for something and crushed it a bit with the lift (buddy was grilling not watching lol)... thought it was just the sleeve but did more damage than I thought.... Got him a new shaft (same ends/joints) for $300 today and while it got fixed his truck was in my spot and sling in yard. We took his truck to grab some food tonight and it's working so back in yard and sling in workspace again!

After the av's game going to replace the one center led bulb that burned out then start messing with brakes tomorrow.

I wanted to like this post until I saw watching the AV's game. I'm pretty sure that deserves a thumbs down...

I personally try to hit the smokies in the fall for that exact reason. All the leaves changing, the colors, and that cool fall air... I would think it would also give an opposite attraction from the current event held in the spring that may give more motivation for others to come. Just my thoughts.

    "Best Paint/Vinyl Wrap"

Well I know we have quite a few members that should be showing up for this category and it will make for a difficult vote if they do. I've seen some amazing paint jobs and some HOT wraps here along the years. Time to show them off! If you knew someone that fits this category encourage them to submit a photo. Wouldn't want anyone to miss an opportunity for an entry that would catch on FIRE!

Deadline will be July 31st, 2022.

    Rules and guidelines:

-The photo must be of your own Slingshot (real full-size Slingshots). If the picture submitted is not of your own vehicle, it will not be included in voting. And if need be, the photo will be deleted from the entry thread. It is known that some members may own more than one Slingshot.

    - Use your own picture (not pictures from outside sources).

    - Photo Shopping pictures or extreme editing is not allowed unless specified by the topic chosen.

    - Stay within the competition's parameters (for example, if the rules are "Your Slingshot and Snow," only post a picture that has both your Slingshot and snow in it). Photos that do not comply with the topic will not be included in voting.

    - Pictures should show off not only your sling, but also you photography skills. Be creative with your shots.

    - One entry per member. Let us know which your entry is by typing "This is my entry:" above your picture. You can change your entry during the time of the competition but once time runs out you cannot change your entry or submit a photo. Once the deadline comes, THERE WILL BE NO MORE EDITING!

    - The contest aims to last for the month, depending on the number of entries (competition will run longer if less entries are submitted, and

    vice versa).

    - After time is up, a new thread will be started for voting. The voting thread may be a "blind" poll, which means the results will be revealed after the end of the voting time line or once a member has voted. Forum members will vote on a winner. The member that wins the competition will come up with the theme/topic for the next competition.

    - Once a photo wins a contest that photo will be added to the winners circle then "retired" and can not be used again unless for a specific contest.

    - Have fun! Keep your comments constructive.

lol. I warn mine every time they come after curfew I'm treating them as an intruder so I'm on board with that.

I saw this post and was thinking wow! This week hasn't really started and we're already talking about 2023?! But I see where you're going with this.

I will say I'm trying to get off this Friday to make it up for the last couple days. Close friends of mine have their booth there for #SavannahStrong and headed up yesterday. But aside from that my main priority for coming up wasn't for any of the normal "event" attractions. I was trying to make it up this year so I could piss in the creek and check out your new place and finally meet you and some others. As there really isn't much left for me to do to my Slingshot personally I'm just at an event to ride (usually away from the event) and meet some more faces from here. The first year at Maggie Valley I didn't spend a dime with any vendor and getting to meet EjFord and Bu11sh1t was what made the trip worth while. We do not personally stay at the hotels but rather find a cabin to split with a few friends like we are this weekend.

Our closest friend and leader of our local group helps organize in Indiana with #SavannahStrong and hosts her own event in Nashville with Slingfest. If I remember correctly she does not have a vendor fee or charge to get in at the Nashville event. My wife and myself help at these events each year from start to finish. I think with the right people in place and the friends and family you seem to have here you could absolutely pull something off. I'm obviously not one for vendors and such but I know you gotta be able to attract the newer folks. With the type of get together you're suggesting I would be more inclined to try and make that then I would the current event. That's why the storm the mountains event I missed was so appealing to me. That's just my thoughts. I know from what I've gathered on seeing the events get planned this year behind the scenes that there seems to be alot of animosity and conflict between vendors. I'm not here for the drama, egos, feelings, and bs. I just want to visit and ride... ride and visit with the people here, not vendors making enough to buy lambos and yachts and retire early off installing Amazon leds all weekend...

I will definitely keep an eye out for what you pull together if you choose to do so. Obviously I'm a little further out being in Nashville but will definitely be on the list with those offering to help any way I can.
