They also show the hammer locked back while the trigger is fully depressed - after discharge. All wrong!

Yeah but he won't pass emissions...

He shouldn't be there. No blinkers, no brake lights, etc. Pull him over!

Well, I guess I'm committed now. Got about 1/2 way today. Will finish tomorrow.

Pro Tip:
When I buy a new gun, I put in the back of the safe for 6 months or so. When I take it out, if the wife says, 'I haven't seen that one before', I tell her, 'that's been in there forever'. She hasn't called me a liar yet.

There's more than one kind of horsepower.
Take your pick!

I modified my Twist Dynamics roof to work with my Assault Industries Cobra Bars. I had these roll bars installed before I bought the top, but had to put the factory bars back on to be able to install the top. I prefer the cobra bars because it gets rid of some of the plastic trim pieces. I also mounted my fire extinguisher to the diver's side roll bar. The fire extinguisher has a quick release, so I am probably going to stash it in the storage compartment when I park, so nobody steals it.
I purchased some bar clamps, and also 3D printed a couple parts. I cut off the flanges that attached the roof to the factory roll bars. I 3D printed parts out of both PETG and TPU (flexible material). I chose the TPU. The clamps are bolted thru the top's frame with stainless captive bolts.
Clamps and 3D printed parts;
Assembled;
Oomp could you fashion a lock for your extinguisher that you could snap on when you leave the rig and remove when you return? That might be less work than removing, stashing and replacing it each time.

If we really want to get to the "OLD DAYS" --- some of the cars had the starter button on the floor under the clutch... Maybe Doug knows which ones...
I think it started with the 1912 Cadillac and ended around 1959. I was born in 1960. Geez EjFord how old do you think I am?

I believe it is. I recall seeing 390 posted on the front quarter panel badge just behind the wheel.
There was also a 406 high performance but not many of those were made. I'm pretty sure that teardrop hood scoop is not factory.
Nothing says 'look at my ass' like quad pipes sticking out a foot behind a 3 foot long continental kit.
That is a sweet ride. Tell your neighbor that if the sun is out, the top is supposed to be down!
Don't suppose you know what he gave for it?

My neighbor just picked this one up. A 1962 Ford Galaxy (I believe XL or SL)?. It's just cool! Pictures don't do it justice. It looks so much better in person.
There was 4 engine choices that year. Is it the 390?
