May have to start a "Go fund me" account...Might need "Sunshine withdrawal" therapy. Its drizzling in SoCal now and I'm not sure how to handle it. They say TWO days of this...☔️. The struggle is real! frozen-squared

I got rid of my car and bought my Slingshot last April. have driven it to work every single day since then. Yesterday I decided it was finally time to buy a rain suit so I headed to Big-5 and picked one up and put it in the storage compartment behind the drivers seat. Got sprinkled on a bit coming to work this morning but not enough to break out the rain suit. Perhaps tomorrow. Knowing Murphy's Law, now that I have the rain suit I probably won't need it

I don't regret my decision to escape Kalifornia... Should have done it sooner @STYLN. :D

I was norCal, so not much help in finding SoCal riders for you.

there many reasons why I would love to get out of California, But living in Palm Springs with our year round riding weather is hard to match - we are expecting to hit 80 today and it was 58 on my ride into work :)

Hi Nellyslings, nice to meet a fellow California Slingshot owner. I am in Palm Springs Ca. The best place I have found to hook up for local rides is through the facebook groups Cali Slingers and Nevada Slingshot owners. The Nevada group is very active and does many rides that are good for us to join up on - not long ago they did a big bear lake ride

There are also a bunch of other facebook slingshot groups that are very active and helpful to keep up on all the events

Very Good resolution. I've made the same one very year since 1984....it's just one day at a time. Gave up the smokes in 1986. Between the two makes it much easier to afford the gas money for the Slingshot.

Thank you. One day at a time is something I can do :).

I still smile every time I look at my Slingshot in the garage. When I see it I think of the great people I’ve met since I’ve had it. The smiles of kids at the gas station and stop lights. It has not changed for me since I first saw it at the auto show less then a year ago. I do love this weird three wheeled vehicle. Just something I was thinking about on a cold snowy day.

I completely understand. Still feel like a kid with a new toy even just riding to work

I dont know if it counts as a New Years resolution, but my only "resolution" is to continue to remain alcohol free. Realized this year that I had a problem and haven't had a single drop since 7/11/17 and now I just need to keep on keeping on. So thats it :)

This is a fun day ride that I like to take. It is about a 102 mile loop from my home in Palm Springs Ca at an elevation of around 405 feet up to Idyllwild Ca at an elevation of 5,413 feet. of the 102 miles approximately 62, from Banning through the mountains to Palm Desert, are two lane twisties going up and down the mountain and with Idyllwild at almost exactly the halfway point it is a great place to stop for a bite to eat, to browse the little shops, and stretch the legs. Along with being a blast to ride in the Slingshot Its also a great chance to escape the heat in the summer and enjoy a change of scenery.

Please share your fun day ride if you have one :)

Charlie gets into a bar with a crocodile. He says to the customers, “Here’s a deal. I will open this crocodile’s mouth and place my manhood inside. The crocodile will close his mouth for one minute, then open it, and I will remove my stick unscathed. If it works, everyone buys me drinks.”
    The audiences agrees.

Charlie drops his pants and puts his stick in the crocodile’s mouth. It closes mouth. After one minute, the guy grabs a beer bottle and bangs on the top of crocodile’s head. The crocodile opens mouth wide, and he removes his stick unscathed. Everyone buys him drinks.

Then Charlie says: “I will pay anyone 100 bucks who’s willing to give it a try.”

After a while,a hand goes up in the back of the bar. It’s a woman. “I will give it a try,”she says,“But you have to promise not to hit me on the head with the beer bottle.”

Do Las Vegas Churches accept gambling chips?

THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT LIVING IN LAS VEGAS,
BUT THERE ARE MORE CATHOLIC CHURCHES THAN CASINOS.

NOT SURPRISINGLY, SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE CASINO CHIPS RATHER
THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET IS PASSED.

SINCE THEY GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE OFFERINGS.

THE CHURCHES SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY FRANCISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND CASHED IN.

THIS IS DONE BY THE CHIP MONKS.

YOU DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT COMING DID YOU?

My ancestry has been traced by another in my family that got into genealogy to ONeill, Ireland. I don't have much detail and am not sure about clans. My life has always required me to worry about today and tomorrow but now you've got me curious...

I agree, My time is better spent looking forward and not back. My father used to tell us that he had been told we came from the MacNeils of Scotland, but other than hearsay there is no real evidence. I did one of those DNA things from Ancestry.com a year or so back and it came back with such generic results that I could be almost anything from the Northern Europe part of the globe. In the end I am just another mutt that doesn't really care :)

I gave up on professional sports a long time ago. I think that 99% of the athletes at the professional level are nothing but a bunch of over paid egotistical thugs.

As such "my team" is the Palm Springs Power a local summer league baseball team that each is comprised of young players who still play for the love of the game and hopes of one day making it big. The games are every bit as much fun to watch as any professional game, but it still has purity to it that was lost a long time ago at the professional level

It also doesn't hurt that the stadium is 5 minutes from my house and admission is $8 and their record last season was 35-3 over all and 22-3 in conference :)

To all of you my Slingshot friends we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a fantastic 2018

With all of our love to you

    Ed & Sara Neal :)

    Live long and prosper
