Why is Geriatric Joe delaying the evacuation of Afghan residents who WORKED for the US Government and were paid for thie help over the past 20 years? Excuse given is that it is taking time to process their visas and verifying their identification. REALLY? How long does it take to screen all the Ecuadorans that are climbing over the border ILLEGALLY and immediately been sent all over the country and handing them food stamps, free health care and God knows what else? I guess Afghans probably will be voting REPUBLICAN and that doesn't fit the Harris Biden - I mean Sleepy Joe and Camel-toe plan.

Too DUMB to be honest - the BROWN NEW DEAL - Full of shit coming out of Washington until he's impeached

personally I would have hoped that these people would have been fully vetted and background checked before they were ever allowed to work for the US Government - - - - If they were not what does that say about the security concerns for those they were allowed to work with?

after Vietnam you would have thought the government would have seen this coming and had all of the vetting done and the visas prepared and ready

I will say Biden learned well during his time as Obama's Vice President - - - when things go wrong, blame past administrations and anyone else you can think of - - - - - never, never, never actually stand up like a man and take responsibility!!

If you didn't like the prior administrations plans - - - your the President for God sakes - change them!!

If the Afghan forces are not prepared - - - prepare them!!

if you are not willing to do these things then tell the people the truth tell them you dont think we should do these things and tell them why

Obama got away with passing the buck, but I highly doubt this will work as well for Biden - - after all critical race theory tells us that when things go wrong its always the old white guys fault!!

    August 16.

    No coronation.

Old Joe is still in office.

If you can't believe Cocaine Mike, who can you believe?

    so - some questions

Do YOU support the immigration policies of the current administration?

Do you support ending the keystone pipeline and restricting of oil leases and then asking OPEC to increase production?

Do you support the way this administration has overseen the withdrawal from Afghanistan?

Our current leader really confuses me - he used executive orders to do change immigration policy and to stop the oil, but the other day I heard our president try to say Afghanistan wasn't his fault because Trump said we would be leaving and that left him no choice - - Seriously - he changes everything he can that Trump had done with executive orders, but can't change withdrawal plans and in fact speeds them up???

so simple questions - - Do you support these three things Biden has done? - and do you truly believe he is 100% capable of performing the job of President?

and please just answer and dont try justifying because other things might have been done by others

In my experience on most AC systems the return filter is too small. They do not like to run large returns because they cannot hide them. On my original system I had a 10 inch by 20 inch filter with a 14 inch return duct, yes that is correct. I have a floor return and built a cabinet so that I could run two 20 x 30 inch filters, now I cannot even hear the AC running. Also in the playroom I expermented by running a single 20 x 20 filter and then I stepped up to 2 each 20 x 20 filters, If I ever get around to it I am going still going to step up to at least to a 20 x 60 filter. If your filter is sucking in while your AC is running you do not have a large enough filter area. Now as to the money the more air flow you have across your AC the less money it is going to cost you to cool your house and the less problems you will have with your AC unit. I do not care what your AC man says. Then you look at what filter you are running, look at the air flow across that filter. If you want to run one of those HEPA filters you had better thriple the filter size at least.

Hey FunCycle what you built sounds similar to my setup. my AC does not have any return duct work - the unit itself sits on top of an air box in the corner on my garage the box is 5 feet long, just under 3 feet deep and 2 feet tall. This air box provides a floor return that has two return openings on the sides that open into the house that are 32x15" each. The unit itself sits on top of a filter box that holds the filter. This box is the same length and width as the unit itself and has a door you open to slide in the filter. this filter box is designed to hold a 2 inch thick filter but there are inserts that can be installed that will allow the use of a 1 inch filter. because of this air box design there are no restrictions caused by duct work the entire air path into the AC unit is fully open with the only restriction being whatever comes from the filter itself. Anyway now that I am back to a 2 inch filter the air flow seems to be back to where it should be -

I do not even look at the MERV any more. Even with the temps around 100 degrees I am running mist on the AC units to help out. Yes It does work. OK! Believe it or not I am done on this.

I have no doubt the mist helps - - many years back I remember seeing a local company selling cooling systems that had a misting system built into a huge duct that was intended to pre cool the air before it entered the AC system - - at the time the booth at the home show where I saw it said it made a huge difference in the energy the system needed to cool the air. In all the years since then I have never seen that system being sold for home owners again, but I do know there are big commercial systems that have water cooling involved as a part of the. system

Okay - I need to update this thread - - had to ditch the K&N

My system can use either a 1 inch filter or a 2 inch - - seems the MERV 11, 1 inch K&N, can't provide enough air flow reliably for my AC to function properly - when the humidity kicked up last week when we were out of town the low airflow caused my system to freeze up, fortunately we caught it before it did any real damage. just switched back to a 2 inch MERV 8 and the increase in air flow is is very substantial - - - as much as I liked the idea of a permanent filter of K&N quality I guess my system just works better with the much greater area of a 2 inch filter and the air it allows to flow

Hey Phill, I am really glad you are on the mend and feeling better. Please take it easy and just keep getting better

As to your above post, #159, I will just say we are in agreement and leave it at that

    Love you Brother

    I

Okay here is a crazy one! My lovely wife took this picture today while in traffic but could only get this shot then it disappeared. This SS was in Corona and has a GIANT scorpion stinger going all the way to the hood!

I don't remember exactly where, but I have seen pictures of that slingshot before - I think it might have been the cal slingers face book group, but not sure

SoCal and Edward Neal I'm hoping Larry Elder kicks Newsome out of office. Word is he has some good momentum. What's the word from some people in your area?

I like Larry Elder and he will get my vote, but I must admit I really wonder if it will make much difference. My adopted brother was, for a long time, very involved with the California Republican Party and was a delegate at their conventions, unfortunately he ended up moving out of state so is no longer involved, anyway when Elder first got involved I decided to give my brother Mike a call just to see if he had any insight that he could share. He basically told me that he didn't see the point, The Democrats have such huge supermajorities in both of the State houses that even if Elder wins and becomes Governor he is not going to be able to get much if anything done probably the only thing would be executive orders which would most likely be instantly blocked by Californias liberal courts - - if you actually look at who controls what right now in the State any conservative who might win in this recall would have less chance of getting anything done than Arnold did after the last recall - and we all know how that turned out =O

As to news from my area - - from what I hear Newsome's chances are looking about 50/50 and going down at the moment - - one thing really scary is that Newsom and his people are telling democrats if they do vote to recall then they should leave the second question of who should replace him blank - if enough people were to do this then the State legislature would get to pick his replacement - - and you know it would not be a conservative - - might even be some damn socialist

My wife and I generally do 2 weeks every year using just the behind seat storage, but it's hard. I recently saw these at the Sundre slingfest: https://www.slingmods.com/pola…luggage-system-slinglines and immediately ordered them. Great idea, and it seems that it keeps the CoG low which I guess now makes sense.

not sure I care for the looks of these, but putting that aside I think adding the weight down low by the front tires would be much better for retaining the handling characteristics

I’m confused, who said they were giving up their “rights” and specifically which “right” or “rights” are you talking about? I am of the belief that Rights are something that only God can grant they are not given by politicians or Governments and in the Bible when the subject of freedom is addressed the one thing that God says a “free man” should do is sacrifice for others. Perhaps I am wrong here, but I don’t see where I have any God given “right” to do anything that could potentially put someone else at risk, in fact I believe the teachings of Christ tell me the exact opposite, that I should be willing to sacrifice for others If you see this as giving up something then clearly we have a different view of what’s important in this life

Yes I do agree that freedom does allow you to decide what risks you want to take, but responsibility and wanting to be a decent person would hopefully guide a person to make these choices in a way that doesn’t put others at risk. Seriously what kind of selfish asshole would say “fuck it I’m going to do what I want and if that can hurt others then it’s on them to protect themselves from my actions”? Personally I think that’s the biggest problem I this country right now, we seem to have a huge number of people that only care about themselves and what they want regardless of how it might impact others.

I'm disagreeing with you alot, so I want to say I think you are awesome brother. I intend no offense or assholeishness (though the latter seems to come naturally to me).

That being said, I got vaccinated because I'm in my mid 50s so I'm not having anymore kids and PERSONALLY felt the RISK TO ME (and my wife) was minimal.

Being a new vaccine we are already seeing heart issues with younger people; who honestly don't need it and heavens forbid if there are issues with pregnancies.

No problems, if we all agreed all of the time this would be a very boring world. My wife and I are both in our mid 60’s and if it were only us I am not sure we would have been vaccinated, but it isn’t just us, we have 5 grandkids 3 of which are at our house several days a week with one of them having bad asthma. I don’t ever want to think of what it would feel like if someone got sick or died because we didn’t get vaccinated let alone if it were one of our one grandchildren. To us this risk no matter how small easily outweighed any possible risk from the shot. Anyway you have a great day - even if we don’t all agree here I still love y’all - for now I’m out of here

To me it’s simple, I try my best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and in His own words He instructs us to “live in love” and that the most important commandment of all is to first love God and second to love our neighbor. Considering this I believe I should take whatever steps are available to me to make sure that the choices I make do not potentially harm others.

    1 John 4: 16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
