Sounds great, I will have our techline with me while traveling, feel free to text or call 864-907-6004

Dave, We have a meet up for a late lunch at 2pm. Looks like some of the local slingers will be there and some from Houston as well. EVERYONE IS INVITED. Please let us know if you are coming so we can let the restaurant know what to expect.

Location: Lazy Dog restaurant and bar, 6509 South Las Vegas Blvd. It's on the west side of the strip at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Sunset rd.

Time again is 2pm. TUESDAY January 14, 2020.

The Las Vegas Slingshot group will be posting on facebook about this also.

Ok, so I have a ticket, flight and hotel and will be heading out there on Tuesday, pretty excited!

jamesgn - is there a group meeting up earlier that day? I will be getting in around 11AM and would love to meet up for lunch if some of the locals.

Dave, We get in at noon, I think a lunch around 2 pm would be great. We will check with the folks their and see what's up. I know the event starts at 6pm and we need to get our sling shot rental lined up as well as check in at the hotel. All this is no problem I think a meet up would be great, one more reason to go. We will get a location and anyone who wants to come can join us, how's that ?

Did not see any link to "Backstage Pass." And exploring the event further, I came across this from the Polaris website:

    "Sales have ended online

This event is no longer available online."

You are right! Another hit at Polaris mkt, instead of pulling the announcement down or changing it they make you go through 3 screens to find out its no longer available.

I hope that it is sold out, should be fun. We are really looking forward to seeing our Vegas slingers again.

We are going to take all the pictures we can and get all the info available and post it here. Someone has to do their job.

By the way the weather in vegas is going to be 50's during the day, lower 40's at night and always 72 in the casinos.

Even the employees at the factory do not know what is going on with the Slingshot on the streets of the USA. We found this out at the factory homecoming last year in Huntsville, Ala.

That's what I heard from other people also. It's hard to believe that something that draws as much attention as the SS gets so little support from the mfg.

We were unable to go to Ala. last year and if they do it again I will do my best to go and wave the SS flag.

I agree. Polaris Marketing has their head up their ass in many ways. This automatic is a great idea to open the market for many who can't or will not drive a stick. I don't understand why so many of us are afraid that an auto will ruin the SS. The auto is an OPTION just like AC used to be. I don't want an auto I love the stick but I don't hate the auto either it's just not for me.

It would be great if more SS were out on the road we could get to know even more good people like EJ. If the Slingshot fails it will be because of piss-poor marketing from the CEO on down. This is a great machine and all of us get the looks, smiles and questions from everyone when we are out in one of ours. People get more excited about our slings than our Vets, and to be honest I like to drive the sling more than the vet, except in the rain!

I still don't think Polaris understands what they have. I can't explain about the lack of advertising, lack of sponsored events, Lack of dealerships when every time I'm in ours everyone loves it, wants a ride , takes a picture and ask all the usual questions. Marketing, Polaris sucks big time.

As long as the standard is around don't worry about the Auto.

Tuesday January 14th 6pm until midnight. The top floor of the Cromwell casino at Drai's Beach club & nightclub.

We have talked to several of the Vegas slingshot club members and others to set up strip rides and meet ups. Should be fun regardless of what Polaris is doing.

I have been talking with Polaris for several days now to get an Itinerary and all I have found out is everything is on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 12pm. That includes the ride and presentation. They said they would have the 2020 their so we could touch and feel, not just a video. It's not much but with a chance to meet with the great Vegas slingers it will still be fun,

Anyway, Who is going. Teresa and I would love to meet up talk slingshot.

Your rational for getting a roof is spot on. That said we have a Gullwing on both our slings and love them, one for over 2 years the other for 6 months. The only roof I have heard many negative comments on is the slingshade, this is from people who own them. I know some people like them but most don't. By the way Slingshots only offers discounts on them and own the company that makes them.

I think a lift wins. Man I really need a lift, getting too old to crawl under the SS.

Besides the pool is cooling down. :(

Guys, I need to know if it will be here in Georgetown or SA. We can do the 26 or the 27 but will need to know to shift our work around, (no problem). Please let us know what's up.

Yeah, Oct 26th, I'll remind you when it gets closer.

SA it is, as long as Joey is ok with us raiding him :)

Wokka, the 27 for us is open and we could make the 26th work also. No pool except for the plastic 6 ft round one the dog plays in.

The easiest thing to do is buy a new one from Polaris if you mare just changing the filter element. The problem with K&N is the input size and other aftermarket filters (which are great) is on the SS the pipe is about 2 3/4 inches in dia.

If you use a 3 inch you will have to build up the pipe or really tighten down the filter.

I didn't like the shop vac looking filter and ended up replacing the whole dam thing. Good luck.
