@Bigdog understand that states are trying to deal with it as best they can until their legislators can get changes made to better reflect how that state wants to handle them. This is why you see some states with Autocycle classification. Here in GA they just changed the license requirements as if July 1st. Prior to that the three wheel aspect as well as being under 1700lbs classified it as a three wheeler that required you to have a motorcycle license (written and driver's test and all). Had someone following me back in Feb of 2015 as I drove around in a large circle on the streets.Government moves slowly when it's not election related.

I completely agree with you...I'm just saying assuming by using an SS for a motorcycle license test in any way qualifies you to drive a motorcycle is crazy.

A pilot license for an airplane doesn't mean you can fly a helicopter.... my state calls it an autocycle...but you must follow all the motorcycle rules. But you don't need the motorcycle license.

One more time, adjust the latch! Loosen it and move it! As you look at it, you will see 2 bolts. Loosen them and align them with the catch on the underside of the hood.Just a little movement will make a huge difference. If you moved the hood, you'll have to move a latch because what it catches on was moved!!!!

I can't move it any more toward the outside...without shimming the entire alpha bracket out.

Since I haven't seen any wind tunnel videos showing the effects of the wing on the back and front end as to whether the wing causes the front end to come up higher with increasing the speed...the point is moot...

The aerodynamics of the SS had to be addressed by Polaris during the R And D phase and that's probably the reason for adding traction control...instead of a wing...

Don't get me wrong I like the way the wings look..but not if it might make the front end lighter at higher speeds by causing lift from the wing pushing the ass end down.

mine lines up good but from day one the passenger side catches when trying to open. I have to have someone lift it to open hood.

Mine worked fine until I made the hood look straighter from side to side near the windshield...my driver side latch catches now...I was going to try a piece of shim stock under the bracket bolts to move the latch slightly toward the outside to see if that works.... if I try to open the hood it catches...if I let it back down I can usually get it to open..

The latch cable adjustment is really touchy...with the hood open lock all the latches....then open them....you should hear one quick snap as all four open...any lingering snap is out of adjustment..4 latches ....1 snap.

I did all kinds of hinge adjustments and latch adjustments to get my hood to fit decently. You can even up the gaps. Don't forget Polaris wasn't overly concerned with rolling ball bearings down the gaps to test the fitment.

I understand the down pressure helps the back end....traction and such...but I just wonder if it's enough down force to make the front end want to lift...which would not help with steering traction.

Just got a call from my dealer...we discussed my limited warranty and they will inform me how much is left...found a bunch of codes and they know what is causing my electrical issues. Parts need ordered....he also wanted to know exactly what I meant by it hesitates...so I explained that to him....and the hot starter not working issue...so he's going to take a long high speed ride and stop back at the shop to test the hot starter issue so he doesn't get stranded ...

I mentioned the catastrophic brake sensors being replaced under warranty and he said....sometimes during installation they get some dirt in them that clogs the tiny orifice

I took my test in the SS, they was not allowed to ride along but followed me in a pickup talking to me through a walkie. The test took maybe 5 min.

If you see my point...driving an SS is in no way close to Driving an actual motorcycle....you can't fall over in an SS.

Well I never thought I would put on a wing but I am trying to change the air flow on the back deck area of the sling. The deck gets covered in road dust so quick. The fender stopped some but still gets covered. I set up the leaf blower and set up some streamers taped to the top and the fin area and played with a piece of cardboard deflecting the air around. I just happened to click on the local for sale ads and a guy had a new never used aluminum wing that is 44" long and fairly small so I figured for $40 I would give it a try to see if I liked it and if it makes a difference in air flow. Anyways I modified the brackets some and mounted off the back of my top. I can remove it very easy if I find it doesn't do what I want

With our front fender flapping issues and the air flow up under the hood...is putting a rear air foil on adding down pressure to the rear end....lifting the front end ...Which would be counter productive..

I put that in there in case someone wanted to use the SS to take a motorcycle test....they can only be tested on a two wheel motorcycle....

And I don't see how taking a written test can determine if you can actually ride a motorcycle... the test I took required you to have your feet on the foot pegs at all times during the test ride...touch the ground and you fail...the test also required a panic stop and doing a figure 8 while maintaining a certain speed..with several stop signs added in. And you had to get it out of first gear...
