All the....Small things...

Blink 182 said, it's all the small things right? Figured I'd continue the blog with the small items that have been done since the last update. 6-8" of snow last night so nothing else to do but putz around on the sling in the garage anyway!

You know I'm bored when it comes to dress up things. That said - a fair amount of the cruises we do here in the Springs start with a car show n tell. Mod as well make it worthwhile to pop the hood - so I guess I'm onto the pretty things up phase? Started with these break, oil, clutch, etc.. trim caps. Only one that came with the kit I couldn't really make work was the radiator. Was designed for plastic radiator cap for the OEM overflow tank etc... Ebrake handle was changed and glad to get rid of that clunky plastic looking one.

Scorpio Alarm - went back and forth on this one. Even had another brand one ordered at one point, but canceled it and decided to make what I had work. Install was pretty straight forward with adjusting the sensitivity being the hardest part. Have it mounted on driver side up by firewall and then sensor I ended up moving to the dash itself. Easiest to just show the video on this one...

First location video test -

After moving to dash where I left it -

More "small things" - wife painted old tires for practice. Learned a few tricks and some about the different types of paint. She's already putting these to use on the new wheels! Speaking of those Mitch at RevDynamics killed these two-tone Savani wheels with Toyo rubber. Excited for the wife to finish painting and to get mounted! I also got the pedal covers installed - was looking for some metal trim for the kick plate area - but unfortunately it looks like those aren't made anymore and what's left isn't stainless looking like these. Wife busted out her vinyl cutting skills and added some carbon fiber vinyl to some interior pieces. She does good work!

Lastly drank a few beers before noon and got up enough courage to cut my hood and do the DDM hood vents. The wife helped with this one and it was nice to have an extra set of hands to line them up properly! I love how these look and know it'll help with that fender flap you get 85+ etc... Excited to see David has some mesh for these too and can't wait to get it! Since we're making things look pretty I went with the DDM gas cap as well. The stock one is plastic which is fine, but black on black vs the yellow contrast was boring. The pearl flake in the yellow is spot on, the DDM powder coat guys have it figured out!

More things in the works, but needs to warm up a bit as I'm getting tired of filling 20lb propane bottles to keep the garage warm enough to be out there. We did get a trailer for the sling and excited with the options that should give us this summer event wise and hoping to run into a few of you forum members this year!
