No doubt that Jeff @welterperformance is a great guy. He is ensuring that I get an absolutely quiet exhaust turbo dual system at SSITS. He is going to install an extra muffler to make it super quiet.

Glad I am already on the list to get the air deflector at SSITS; along with the boosted WP Duals. WP already knows I have the Slingshotonly rear fin so I cannot see this air deflector being that. The fin from Slingshotonly or Underground or whomever, would be an exorbitant cost and this is suppose to be a simple solution.

Realized that as stated in first post, also know it is just the SS as stated on the title. Just was amazed since it was cold last fall when I got the SS and had not had a chance to get any riding in. 8)

I was just jealous. We all know it was you and not the Slingshot but pictures would have been great.

The problem is that the OEM windshield is polycarbonate which is next to impossible to get a great tint on. However, I had mine done and it has held up and still looks good, as well as to be expected. The tint used was basically a clear coat with some tint in it. I tinted it since I was looking over the top of the OEM windshield anyway. I also did my double bubble. By the way, I still have both if anyone interested in buying. Last year, I went with the F4+3 windshield.

Folks: I currently have the Alpha turbo, 1320 V2 header, and Alpha turbo (2 1/2") side exit exhaust. It was tuned for that combination last year at SSITS by Bob. My question is: Do I need a reflash as I am replacing my Alpha turbo side exit exhaust with WP turbo duals? I would not think I would need one since the exhaust is still 2 1/2" in diameter but would appreciate some feedback.

Just put on some Michelin Super Sport 4S on my 2015 SL. I went with a 235-45-18 on front and OEM size of 255-35-20 on the rear as I have an Assault fender. The tires are absolutely phenominal and are the top tire in Michelins Ultra High Performance tire-Summer. They stick like glue and offer a 30,000 mile warranty but without rotation only warranty 15,000 which is still good for a Ultra High Performance tire. This tire has great ratings and well worth the cost in my estimation. It is an asymetrical tire but looks very close to symetrical. Purchased at Discount tire with 10% military discount. Tire is quiet, responsive, looks good, and confident will stick in wet weather conditions. Cost is expensive but in my estimation, best summer high performance tire on the market.

Yeah, it means the rest of us would know too. COME ON Mrs. Kravitz!

I'm guessing they are perfecting, patenting, or getting ready for production. Just a guess.

Folks: All I can say is that WP did this on 3 slingshots and all 3 stated they no longer had fume issues. It is not my place to give further details (and I probably could not provide specific details) but I expect Angie or Jeff will enlighten folks soon.

I talked with Jeff yesterday about installing his WP Duals at SSITS and he let the cat out of the bag on what was done to solve the fume problem. That's all I am at liberty to say as it may be "Classified" and you know what that means if I leak it.

Folks: I will be getting new tires soon and probably will be going with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. I am torn between the 2 sizes below so you gurus let me know if either of these sizes will fit on my SL (OEM Front: 225-45-18, Rear 255-35-20) without having any ABS, traction, etc, ( nanny issues).

    1. Front: 235-50-18 Rear 255-40-20
    2. Front: 245-45-18 Rear: 255-40-20

If both will fit, which would you recommend and why? Thx guys.

Anyone got an update to see if Laser Alignments will be performed at SSITS 2018 in Maggie Valley? Ivor was going to check into this but all I have seen is that SSITS is going to have 20+ vendors but I have not seen the list to see if this service will be offered. Since I am going to SSITS I would rather than my alignment done there rather than drive an hour to the dealership. :/

Folks: I saw the following message from IVOR posted in "SlingshotRoadsters" Website in regards to Laser Alignments at SSITS: "Unfortunately none of the vendors we approached wished to do this". ;(

Alpha performed Laser Alignments for the past several years at SSITS. Since it appears they have dropped off the face of the earth and I have not seen a SSITS 2018 vendor list, for planning purposes, is there a vendor out there who has plans on doing these?

    1. People walking down the middle of a parking lot.
    2. People leaving toilet seats up.
    3. Traffic and people who drive in the left lane under the speed limit who are not turning and no other car in the right lane.
    4. Too many political views on facebook.
    5. Rain when you have somewhere to go in a clean car.
    6. Finally, things that piss me off and I cannot think of all of them.

K & N guaranted something like one million miles, but you have to clean it. Go to your local auto parts store they will sell you a cleaning kit which includes the cleaner and the oil to respray it with. The only reason you would want a new one is to maybe color match under the hood.

Fun: Hope you are doing well in Georgetown; one of my favorites places to visit while at Myrtle Beach. Anyway, thanks for the info. I just wanted an extra so it would be a fast installation and would not have to wait for filter to dry after cleaning before reinstalling. Again, hope you are doing well and will see ya at SSITS.
