Just curious, why does one choose open vs closed end lugnuts?

I was with Geico for 12 years and they even had my home thru a Travlers policy. I dropped them and went with Nationwide on everything when I started shopping for the Slingshot insurance.. I am at roughly 700 a year and that includes 3000.00 in accessory coverage. Here is my actual declaration page. I think when you balance it out with my auto coverage it works out to be a pretty good price. And I try to keep my deductibles on average. Is this fairly good coverage?
Geico recently started insuring motorcycles in MA, I have my cars with them. When called, they stated they don't write the SS as of yet. I went with Commerce for $800/year.

Here's my dilemma..My stock cup holders were a bitch to pop out, had to pry ever so carefully..With this armrest if I ever changed cup Holders Im worried I would put a hole in pad.....Unless theses a way to secure cup holders , but have them pop easy some other way? Maybe file the plastic that locks them in a bit???
The first time is a little tight. Just use PLASTIC chisels, you can buy a nice set on Amazon. After a few insertions, they come in and out more easily. For the stock ones. After market ones will be tighter in the stock SS, and may not fit in the DDM armrest.

I have some powder coated cup holders would I be able to use them?
My color-coded (red) cup holders (bought on EBay) would not fit in the DMM armrest, I had to go back to the OEM black ones which are more tapered. BUT, I bought the color-coded rings from Slingmods, and they look great!!

I'm living in the North Shore of Boston. Wouldn't mind a few group rides in this neck of the woods. Lots of coastal roads, good scenery, and you can even remove your helmet when you arrive to the NH border. I'll be there in Lake George in Sept. for the SS meetup there.

Goto: Profile/Profile and Settings/My money/My pre approved payments/Update
Click on the recurring payment you wish to cancel...like "Forum Foundry"...then under the status heading click CancelInteresting. I had to CALL paypal to have this cancelled. Couldn't do it from my computer. Although I could cancel others I completely forgot about. Thanks for reminding me!!! (It sure is demoralizing to be demoted to beginner status, I'll need to build up my rep on this forum now)
