Just so you guys know, you don't need marine speakers. Even paper speakers are treated.. It's for saltwater applications.

I've had paper treated cone speakers on my ATV before and didn't end well.

it could handle a minor spill or sprinkle but not a full on shower, personally i don't ride in the rain but also i don't want to be worried that if shit hits the fan and i get caught in it 100s if not 1000s of dollars are going down the drain.

Now i am not saying that you get a speaker that says MARINE WATERPROOF IP67/X etc etc etc. but read the spec and get something that has a polypropylene cone and a rubber surround.

Getting 100+ letters with the added threat of a twitter/FB " campaign if they don't do right by the affected party normally gets their attention.

Fear the power of the twitter/fb! , unless they are a company going out of business and don't give 2 cents of a crap about their "brand".

Hm.. lets start with I like Slingshotonly.com and so far all my parts have been purchased from there.

However an advertising post in a thread like this should be considered spamming....

Not trying to offend anyone or ruffle anyone's feathers(hell i don't even know the ToS of the forums) but vendors hijacking threads should be against ToS.

Another example was the hijack in the gullwing top thread by a different vendor.

If i am the only person that this type of thing bothers then carry on.

    meanwhile in MN....

Mayor: Hey Mark are we going to close the schools tomorrow, i hear is going to be -10F with -25F windchill.
Governor: Jo' buddy, stop being such a wussy and put on another layer.
    during a different storm.........
Mayor: Mark now we really need to close the schools, we are expecting a foot of snow.
Governor: Jo i am getting the hint that you failed your economics class.....
Governor: if we shut down the school that means a lot of parents will stay home which means less people driving, so we will have less accidents which then means less people buying new cars and paying taxes to us.....god Jo think before you speak.

Their are several people that are working on it.ad there are two that are out. I have 2 different pieces of software/hardware that will reset these codes. Both were around 350.00 a piece.

Any links to them or are they still in the development stage?

Didn't see anything being sold at either SSO or SM.

@rabtech is not cool to pick on us little newcomers , your audio set up was what motivated me to switch(WIP) the audio of the SS once i got it.

Also Rab is there a way to move the report thread button away from the quote, i am 99% sure that i just reported you when i meant to click the quote one, so please don't give yourself a timeout on my account. ;(;(

@Shatneyman if you are dead set in using the 6 pods, why not go for broke and use 8 speakers this way you can wire everything at 2 ohms and balance the loads.

Put a 3.5" and a 5.25 in the stock factory pod wire them in parallel and will give you a 2ohms load use that as your front channel.

Wire your middle/side pods and your headpods in parallel to also get a 2 ohms load.

The down side of doing it this way is that the Alpine M300/4 Amp depending on which speakers you choose would not be able to drive all rear speakers at maximum.

I think it would be good enough for the Rockfords or the JVC , the sound would not be as loud as it could be but it will be way better than stock once you have everything dialed in.

@Shatneyman don't take what i said/will say as gospel, get input from others as well.
I am just pointing out what "COULD" be an issue from a theoretical stand point, If you have 2 2 Ohns and 4 4 Ohms in parallel the result is equal load at 2 ohms but sounds quality would be terrible (in my opinion) since you have too much front and nothing but subs in the back.

As i said i have never done a wiring like that so i can't say for sure what the end result will be.

If i was the one doing the wiring for 6 speakers, the way i would do it is front and Headpods connected to the
Alpine 4 ch amp as Front and Back, then i could hook the middle pods to a separate amp as "back" channel and dial the crossover frequency to Low Pass.

ps..I got an email saying my pods are on their way, i don't have the PRP seats but i will take plenty of pics of the pods once i get them.

@Shatneyman That could be tricky with that amp since you are trying to force 6 speakers into an amp designed for 4.

The only way to make it happen without making changes to the hardware would be to wire front pod and middle pod in parallel to get a 2 Ohm load but that would mean using your Boss and JVC speakers and hook them as Front channel, then put your Pyle "subs" in the headpods and hook them to the rear channel.

Here are a few problems(in my opinion) I dislike matching load(your front would be 2 Ohms/ Rear 4 Ohms) some amps tend to go haywire/crap out when stressed on miss matched loads yours might work ok, i don't know since i have never used it.

if it was me and I was forced to do it with just 1 amp, I would make sure that the rear speakers/subs are 2ohm rather than 4 so i can match loads.

Personally i would get another amp even if it is a cheap chinese throw away to make this setup work.
