Has anyone had to make a claim? I really want to lower my rate, I don't however want to pay for coverage that's only good on paper.

I know what you mean, but I believe him. He got me a quote thru Progressive. I made a claim thru progressive before and they’re pretty good when it comes to that.

If you’re new and in need of a insurance for your SS or want to lower your monthly payment with your current policy, look no further, you should call Dan!

As of today, I have a lower rate in my SS and Dan saved me over $600 with a better coverage. I couldn’t thank him enough, I just wished I knew him a couple years ago when I was shopping for insurance in SS.

FYI: Call him in a regular business day (Monday-Friday). If he didn’t pick up, he might be helping someone else, but keep trying!

Drive 70mph and downshift from 5th to 1st to give you a example of what will happen . Now have this happen when your not expecting it .
I said my peace but this is very irresponsible of anyone who is installing this but also remember I starting installing automatics in slingshots Long before people started coming out of the woodwork so it allows me to have a lot more testing time and I just looked it up . I had a automatic since October of 2015 so I do know what I’m talking about . Only reason I’m still running my mouth about this is because it’s a huge safety issue . I don’t care . Just a concerned Slingshot family member and a proud forum member unless rabtech shoots me

thanks for your honest feedback! @oneshot this is the reason why i started this thread so people who are currently have the automatic setup are aware of the safety issue and also for those who plan to convert in the future!

I wouldn't switch back to manual. Anybody that was at Maggie Valley this year could see mine in action and should have noticed that I never had any issues with it shifting wrong. I even was trapped in a downpour and water was sitting on the number pad and buttons and had no issues with it. I do plan on moving my shifter pad to a more vertical position because there is no reason to temp fate. It shifts just like its programmed to. When I first arrived in Maggie Valley I told Dave it was shifting down to many gears when I mashed the throttle and within a few minutes of programming with a laptop it was shifting down and holding the correct gear perfectly. That is part of any new product that has to be programmed.

As far as heat bothering mine,,, It hasn't. My push button controller has been so hot you couldn't lay your hand on the metal. And still no issues. ..

You can put a manual shifter on the transmission. It just has to be routed around the bell housing up to the hole where the shifter was located.

thanks for the feedback! @rabtech i was wondering about the rain as well but good thing it’s waterproof as well. Where did you mount the shifter? and where are you planning to move it eventually? Do you also have the small led screen by the steering wheel that displays the gear you’re in?

Omg! thank god you’re ok! I’ve seen those electronic push to button shifter around here in the site.

I gotta admit they do look cool, but just like every electronics, i know they malfunction just like what happen to you shifting from 5th to 1st because it’s “hot.” That’s crazy!!

Did you modify your standard lever or is it just standard? Do you have pictures by any chance?
