I just installed some extra brake lights with build in sequential turn signals
They look great (will make a clip when its completely done) but I stumbled on a small issue.
I've tested them and the turn signals work perfectly when I gave them power but when hooking then up to the turn signal of the SS it wasn't what I thought it would be.Seems like the SS interval is to quick.
When they get power from the turn signals they start the sequence but the power stops to quick, before they reached the end of the strip.
When the power gets on again off course they restart the sequence. So they go only half way.Is there a way to give them continues power as long as the turn signal is on.
Or can I put something between that provides contstant power for a couple of seconds when the turn signal is activated?Hope you guys understand what I mean

Was anyone able to figure out of these could bolt up with a sling using the wind restrictor? @philip_mustang ??
I just ordered the wind restrictor 3 days ago before seeing this thread and I love the looks of these luggage racks.
@SlingLow...Are these still avail if it does work?
Reap
I didn't have time this weekend to unbolt the WR and take a picture of the holes to install.
But if it really works is up to you to find out Since I don't have those racks and don't plan on installing them.Good luck!
-
The holes a bigger than m5 (guessing m10) so there is some wiggle room.
I'll see if I can come up with a picture in the weekend -
@philip_mustang I was just thinking about this. What if you inserted the bolts from the back of the hoops, through the rack mounting bracket, then through the hoop, then through the rack's loose mounting bracket on the front of hoop and tighten that down with a lock washer and nut, just like you would normally mount them but use a longer bolt that would then extend beyond the front of the hoop and through the windscreen with a 2nd nut that would fasten the windscreen in place on the front of the hoop? I could draw a diagram to clarify if I had mad computer skills to post it up.
That could work on the condition that the holes of the windscreen line up with the brackets of the rack.
But it looks indeed like this is a way to have both. Haven't thought of it myself so Good thinking! -
mmm that seems to be a problem.
A solution is possible but I'm having doubts about the strength.
When you mount the wr to the front then the front brackets is the one where the screws go in.
So in theorie you could use those brackets from the wr to attach to the brackets from the racks. The wr uses small screws m5 but I guess the racks needs at least m6 for strength.
Also if you add a lot of weight it might cause a lot of stress on the wr because it is sandwiched between the brackets and the hoops. -
the restrictor uses the lower outside slots of the hoops. If you can zoom in the picture you can see the black bracket on the front in the left lower corner.
The meansling top does not work with the wr. No matter what side you put it on.

If you're talking about the rear wind restrictor, I don't believe so. From the pics I've seen it appears that they mount behind the roll hoops and would block the mounting pads from the recessed slots in the hoops where they attach.
Now as far as red - that could be done for anyone who wanted them. If I had 3 or 4 commitments, perhaps for close to the same price. Fast Red anyone?it is possible to mount the windrestrictor in front of the hoops. I did it that way to be able to mount a wing to the rear of the hoop.
So if they don't use the same parts of the hoops to attach it to it shouldn't be a problem to have both

Today I finally installed some of the things I've had laying around for quite a while now.
It was the stuff that I ordered from Alpha and had it painted to match my color.
The mirror trim kit
The speaker rings
Radio bezel accent. I'm thinking about adding small stickers with the text that was there oem.And finally my wings. I had it wrapped in carbonlook and painted the side pieces. Turned out good I think
-
I think it would be a community and public service to share the FB page of his restaurant.
This was the one
Just saw that Alpa's fb has been removed so that does not sound good. But you can still make new orders on their website.
-
Hope I'll get the stuff I ordered and paid for months ago, was a verbal order with Henry and I was told the stuff was in stock.
I'm still waiting.
If you have it on mail or something you could just try what I did
The most effective was to use the fb page from his restaurant. Don't think they like bad/nagative comments on it

This hasn't been my best week due to some unexpected kidney issues. Never had trouble with it before but had to go through some small surgery.
When I was released and got home there ware some boxes waiting. One was from @SlingLow and one of the others was from Alpha!!!
Look like my spamming of Henry (and his restaurant and every related person I could find) turned out just fine
I even got an extra slingdry towel.
So after all I'm a happy guy that everything turned out ok in the end.
Now time to recover and then I'll have some mods to make
-
You will be happy about them. Everything from Tricled is (and looks) so good!
-
Today was the time to get the Tricled Illuminated doorsills on. They have been here for almost 2 month.
I really like the result.
You can see them even when the other xmas lights are on
Now I'm gonna have to wait till the package arrives from Alpha! If all goes well ...
-
It has been a long time since I've done some new upgrades.
Today I had an unexprected day off and since it wasn't to cold in the garage I finally had the oppertunity to install my Underground Powdercoated rings.
The leds are Magic led strips I bought somewhere else.
So many different programs to run. Still need to see them all.Together with the strips I bought some "whip lights".
They look cool but I got to figure out where I install them.
Idea's are welcomeAnd if I have the time saturday, another thing is finally going to be installed
-
After spending some time contacting different people I received an email from Alpha that the package was on its way.
Now lets wait for the delivery and hope all is well! -
Are you sure that last picture is beer?

Boooo Slingshotonly fails again (>_>)
Well to be honest, SSO does not fail.
When I contacted Twist dynamics they said they didn't do it but maybe SSO.
And in fact, they do!! BUT charge you $699.99 for a set. Alpha is $365. BIG DIFFERENCE! -
Twist Dynamics has a wing with brackets similar to alpha contact them and maybe they can sell you a set.
Nope, tried that before I even knew about the Alpha ones. They only sell them as a set.

just found this reply in my inbox on TDS from that Matt
"I was removed from all Alpha social media and no longer work for Henry or Alpha so it has been very difficult to get ahold of him. It is a matter of him bringing it to FedEx rather than it being picked up at the shop, which hasnt been able to happen since they are closed. I may be stopping at his restaurant to talk to him about it, I will bring this up to him again. It is boxed up and ready to go but unfortunately there is quite literally nothing I can do at this point. Im really sorry for the whole situation and the inconvenience."
