At the moment 67,246 miles since Feb.12, 2015 on one Slingshot. Over 3,000 miles in the last three weeks. I started to say never on a trailer but it did have a ride on a couple of roll backs to the repair shop after last years off road experience.

@edwardaneal If you are planning on driving hard, you will also need the Hawk 5.0 brake pads from DDM, some of this best pads out there but they are dirty. You DO NOT need any of the big brake kits unless you are one of those drivers that spend a lot of time on the brakes if you have followed anything that I have said or anyone else talking about me, I spend very little time on the brakes. If you follow me and wait on my brake lights you will probably over drive the corner.

The short shifter is one of the things I have considered and I was thinking about the master cylinder brace, but when they fixed my break failure light thing last month whatever they did made the breaks work great so I am not sure the brace is needed now -
The brace has nothing to do with how good the master cylinder works. It keeps the firewall that the master cylinder is mounted on from moving (FLEXING) therefore changing how the pedal feels under hard use. If you are not planning the hard driving you would never know the difference. Just like the sway bar, if you will not be driving hard you will not need it. Does this help you? I am not trying to be a smart ass. Informed Choices

My mod money is very limited and as such I want to invest in mods that will have the best bang for the buck so to speak.
so what I would like to know is what you think are the mods that have the greatest return for the money spent
Based on what I had read here for my first major mod I decided to replace the stock coil overs with a set of JRI Grand Touring coil overs and at this point I am thinking that next mod should be a DDW works sway bar.
do those of you who have done it think this would be the best next mod for me? or is there something else you would do first?
I know that many here have done crazy amounts of modding to your slings and I love seeing what all of you are doing, but what would really interest me would be to know if your were on a very limited budget and had to do it again which mods would be at the very top of your list especially if your Slingshot was your only ride
DDM Short Shifter and the master cylinder brace next and then the sway bar

I have been out of town riding, so I hope that you had a great BIRTHDAY

Need some help trying to rid a squeal or rattle on my 1320 V2 exhaust. I actually think it is one of the springs vibrating that is causing the sound but it is driving me nuts. It hits at between 2250 and 2500 rpm no matter is under acceleration or deceleration. I installed the support brace about two months ago and it has shown up since then so I was thinking that was the problem so I unhooked the brace yesterday and the squeal had a different pitch to it and came along a couple hundred rpms higher but it is still there. I've checked for any sign of exhaust leaks and its not there. I've been experimenting with different positions with the eyelet on the brace that is mounted on the top pipe. Right now it is at the 9 oclock position and there is plenty of tension on the topmost spring. It is the one on the very bottom that I think might be the culprit but I'm not sure. Anyone else had this issue with a 1320? I just don't want to fight that bottom spring again on that thing. I made up new cusswords trying to get that bottom spring on. I like to ride in 4th gear and that is right in the wheelhouse of that rpm range.
Good Luck. If you need a hand give me a shout one afternoon after work

Always said I was leaving mine bone stock. Then came shocks, homemade CAI , meansling carpet kit, cat delete pipe, meansling hoodlift assist, 4 point harnesses and seats and probably stuff I am forgetting. NO REGRETS.
Is that all!

@WOLF you are right, both parties are crooked all they care about is their jobs and their pay offs and they are scared someone is going to upset the apple cart. (THE SWAMP)
-
OK, the exhaust system bracket is welded back to the pipe and everything has been reinstalled and we are ready to ride again.
-
@Jeff Welter I just jacked the Sling up and the main problem looks to be the back hangar bracket has broke of of the pipe. Just finished pulling the pipe off and Going to find someone to weld it back on.

truth is I spend 15 to 30 minutes touching up each photo as I receive them ..... getting the bugs off the windshield and front and removing rocks from the tires and unsightly things. I may adjust the exposure a little if it needs it and bring in some contrast and detail to try and bring out the best of an already great photo
Then I print out small versions. I take over the dinning room table and put both extensions in.I start with the holidays and try to find the best photos that fit the occasion for the month cover. I try to then add in the photos that support the theme but will be smaller.
I get all 12 months laid out and i go month by month going through the stack for each trying to narrow it down. When I think I have it I do the layout on the kitchen counter and leave it there for a few days to as much as a week. I look at each month just for a few minutes every day to see if anything jumps out as not the right fit then I go through all the photos I didn't use to make sure (at least in my mind) that I didn't miss anything and make any final adjustments. I'm driving Karianne nuts at this point because I have photos spread put everywhere and she wants to decorate for the holidays.
When I think I'm done I give Karianne the stack of unused photos and tell her to pick out the ones she thinks should go in the calendar. Once she has her stack I ask her to pick what month she would put them in if she can.
With her stack in hand we head to the dinning room table and go through each month to make sure she is seeing what my vision is or make any adjustments.
The easy work is done! Now back to the computer to build the files in Photoshop. Pick the right font - I try to do something different each year - design a layout - pick or create a unique background for each month to compliment the theme.
From there I walk away for a few days to let the old brain swelling go down. Another review - make any necessary adjustments or call it done.
If it's done then a proof to a forum member who must be able to keep a secret so that he/she can give feedback. If the feedback is bad I start over or maybe just some small changes or if everything has gone as planned then I get a thumbs up.
With a smile on my face I'm off to my printer with a CD of the files and a flash drive of the original program files just in case. My printer sets up everything in a day or two and prints off a copy for me to review. I pick up the copy and head home. I look at it right away of course but when I get home I'm checking margins and bleeds and general quality from 6 inches in front of my face to 20 feet away. I turn it over to Karianne who does another proofread. If I have to make changes its back to the software, then back to printer, etc.
With Karianne's final review approved I call the printer and finalize the quantity. Within a week I'm picking up finished product to take back home and start the shipping process to fill the orders placed. I'm usually sweating because I think I didn't order enough.
Then it's time to sit back and hope I exceeded expectations - although they're not pictures I took LOL. I always want to hear the good and where I can improve - especially if I'm lucky enough to do them next year.
PS. Did I tell you that I am color blind since birth?
All I can say is a BIG Thank You.

The app only allows the easy access to the forum post . However the website is mobile compatible. So if you go to Polaris Slingshot Forum from the phones web browser you can access the full website.
For me I was not talking about the phone. The person that asked me was on a lap top and could not find until I told him where to look.

It is fun to watch @Ross squirm a little as he tries to pick pictures for the calendar... More pictures we send the more he squirms.....
Yes how do you pick 60 pictures out of a thousand or two for a calendar? That is just a guess.

And the mileage race is ON... I know that your wife was down for a while last year which keep the miles down … This year it's my wife. Recovery from back surgery is moving slower than we had hoped but it is moving in the right direction. JUst crested the 67,000 miles running errons this pm.
Yes, Brenda has been down for 17 months total and my Slingshot was in the repair shop for 2 months after that little off road adventure

This past weekend it looked like I was trying to tear the fenders off. I dropped the left and the right side off of the pavement hard with no damage that I have seen yet. Just from this experience we might need to think about a little more than 4 1/2 inch clearance on the rear between the fender and the pavement. Another thing I do love these things in the rain

@rabtech is the one who has the exhaust system that you need. Quieter than stock, a lot quieter than stock until it reaches about 4lbs of boost. Then it gets loud. I will eventually end up with something similar but I'm working on something different for the moment. Good luck and please keep us updated on your progress.
@Summer Breeze modified his Welter Outsider and now when I am following I can not even hear his SS running.
-
You are really pushing it pal!Looks like a blast - I am so happy Brenda is finally getting out and riding.
Well look who spoke up first about trailers, you think!
-
Could we do that to Bobby and see how fast he could move?
-
Glad to see that you guys took it easy and didn't try to ride too much. Gotta keep it fun for the ladies!
I think she has had enough for a while. 3,000 miles total for two weekends two weeks apart
