I have done a little different a few times. First off understand that I have never used a water hose on my SS, with one exception and that was a pressure washer to get rid of the Georgia clay. Now , understand that under my hood is black and I have seen some that were body color. I cover the engine and the front with a small tarp. Then I spray under the hood with the Lucas tire treatment and let sit overnight, the next morning it looks just like it was brand new. NO SCRUBBING AND NO WATER HOSE Oh! and no hurting back

Has anyone else had problems with the reverse switch on the trans? I have had my second failure. The Service manager seems to want to blame the heat off of the Welter exhaust. I told him that we had not seen any failures from the heat. @Jeff Welter just how much clearance is there between the pipe and the switch. Can I use one of my spare switches to activate the camera and the backup light? I have not been under the SS to check this out yet.

A few weeks back I stopped over to see my brother at his shop. He was working on a Slingshot for one of our forum members. I will let the owner of the Slingshot post the final assembled photos and tell you more about it but here are some teasers.
I have some time laps video of the paint process, but have no idea how to make it all come together and play. There is no stone upturned on this paint job. Every piece of this slingshot has something painted. The dragon theme flows freely through the bike. As far as I know all the arts have been returned to to the owner and the final reassembly has been completed. I am sure it will be seen shortly...

AS always he does beautiful work.

At 1/27 PM this afternoon I received one of those calls wanting more tax money, I just hit end but if anyone would like to check it out here is the number 347-609-5265. Maybe you want to send them :D:D some money.

What about hahn's new intake manaifold i posted.....I think that's the difference.....because before 185rwhp....is the most i have seen....

Just as they are telling you the cat delete with the CAI gave me 4 more MPG and a lot of seat of the pants HP. Probably the most noticable of any of the other improvements. The Hahn intake gave me some more power and moved the power band all the way up to the red line, where before it was around 32-3400 to around 5600 RPM's

I tend to understeer when turning right and left. My steering wheel is off center by a few degrees, but I expected the steering to be a lot more sensitive to my movements. Am I missing something?

Yes, Go to someone/dealer that knows what they are doing and get the lazer alignment. Steering wheel not centered is one of the first things that tell you that your Slingshot has not been properly aligned. If it is still under warranty they should do it for free. You might also find someone with the True Trak alignment system but you will have to pay for that one. Either way pay for it to be done if you have to, you will feel the difference within the first few miles.

    Rabtech,

NEW! StreetRace Billet Intake Manifold from Hahn RaceCraft!

Bill Hahn made 184 hp with just his intake, cold air kit and and exhaust, no headers or tune.........however i have yet to see this combo with the headers and tune, dynoed.....i bet it would be close with just the headers as those might make another 10-15 hp in that combo........unless some new products have luanched recently....

We are supposed to put mine on the dyno if I ever get back up to DDM. The only bolt-on that I do not have is the ported throttle body that RRR offered at one time, I am still looking for one.

Had my little ride to Home Depot,Lowes and Harbor Freight looking for a storage box for all of the metric bolts that I have collected since owning the Slingshot. Found what I wanted at Home Depot. So I have been sorting out all bolt, nuts and washers and of course they are all shiny Stainless Steel. I also found out a couple of days ago that the socket head bolts at Fastenal already has smooth shoulders so they are shiny without having to polish.

I have the DDM sway bar and mounts with the OEM links. I have mine mounted in the stiffer hole. My question in the ways I see these mounted, does it make any difference if they (links) are mounted to sway bar on the inside of bar (engine side) or outside of bar (wheel side)?

The only problem would be , you might hit the a-arms if you do not have the locks on the sway bar. Some of the models/years did not come with the locks.

100% agree. A 2” receiver mounted to the roll bars would allow any number of racks for stuff and be high enough to not have to wire brake lights. And be cost effective for those of us using it once a year.

I misstated that, what I meant was to make another rack that would be two inches higher above the deck that @SlingLows and mine, then you could gas up with plenty of room under the rack.
