Funinthesun I looked up to where I installed the fenders and I do not believe it is there. I only went to about post 100. There are 60 pages on that thread. The fenders are slot keyed like the battery cover once you pull all of the screws.

I thought that as well. Maybe it's me. I'll check it again
It is easy to take them off. If I remember there are 4 screws on each side and the two rivet or screws at the top. After my little off road adventure I had screws on top on one side and the rivets on the other. Then you just lift them off.

If anyone knows the link to Stickedicks post about the installation of his front fenders (specifically the part about the removal of the side pods) I'd appreciate it. I have all the other ones, but can't seem to find this one
I though everything was on the thread that I started about the fenders and the install

A lot of info that had been book marked. Paint codes, brakes, part numbers, the plastic you could use to repair or build new parts all I can say there was no B.S. in my book marks. Very little how to stuff.

Ok guys. I bought the 1320 V2 header, and exhaust with new type silencer in muffler. Told wifey it would be just a little louder. It’s much louder, which I don’t like that it’s right at her feet, but can live with that. Now. The fumes is a whole different animal. I have a 2016.5 so I ordered the Heat kit from Slingmods, and installed the engine bay area pieces while I had exhaust out. Not sure if that helped or hurt fuming? I have the OEM ripper I think it’s called windshield (one with vents), and really wanting to goto F4+5 since it’s winter. As it gets hotter in Georgia fumes get worse, so trying to find a fix before wifey gets even more unhappy. Always did full stage ones on my Harley’s so you had a little smell, but this thing is crazy🤬
Questions: will CAI help control fumes, as I have exhaust only now! Does anyone make an adapter kit to extend the pipe to rear of sling? Hate to remove exhaust just to buy same 1320 with the Vee clamp? I’ve read a lot on fumes with Sling, and not sure what’s correct. Rear wind deflector the answer? Sorry for long post, but I’m in trouble here😬
A lot has been written on here about the fumes. The two worse things to increase he fumes are tall wind screens and tops. Which make for a low pressure area in the cock pit. Personally I have never had the fume problem I have the 2015 stock blade that has been cut off about 3 inches so to look over it. I also am running one of the first United Performance tops ever installed. Also with one of the very first Welter Duals ever installed. The CAI has nothing to do with the fumes.

I have a long list of items, upgrades I want and need to do to my SS. If money was not a option I would have a truck delivery every day for a year. But I come up with ideas myself and or see it posted or at a meet and custom make my own. Still need the shocks upgrade bad and I can not make those LOL. It sucks everything cost so much but I do understand R and D. I cost a lot to machine and develop these mods. Just the time and machine work it took my buddy to make my Y pipe if sold would be over a 100 bucks. My hat off to the venders meeting our needs for upgrades.
There are members on this forum that have done just that. Built and sold what they thought was needed. I myself made the original small luggage rack, I only made I think it was like 13 of them and the prototype is still on my SS, I sold them with very little profit to myself. Even this past summer I had forum members coming to me to build some more of them and this was done almost 3 years ago.

I would add that all states should hold the primaries on the same day - We shouldn't have a system where some candidates have been forced to drop out before some states have even voted
Also on Election day, the counting of the votes should not even be started until the last voting poll has closed. The way it is done now, is just wrong and there is no other way to put it.

Shit, I'll help ya both get registered or whatever, but we gotta come up with something great, creative, or compelling you'll do with the "free time" you'll have being smartphone-less... 🤔
Ideas?
Just think of all of the time I save to do something else. To actually accomplish something.
-
So... If anyone wins, can I get like $10k as a finders fee?
Thanks!
Don't do Twitter or any of that stuff so I cannot register. Also I do not do text or voice mail. OH! I DO NOT OWN OR USE A SMART PHONE. That is why I own a flip phone, if you want to talk to me, you had better keep on calling until I answer.

Okay, I have noticed that we now have a "friends" feature here on the forum. I have already accepted one friend request and I also sent one out.
so having now made friends can someone tell me exactly what this feature is for? up until now I have considered everyone on here to be a friend and as such this new thing has me puzzled
As for as I know it just let's you know when they are on the forum

We have one area here in Georgetown that has had 14 garage/shop break in's in the last 3 weeks. I just hope that they do not come to my side of the area.

welcome TxTiger the group is a fantastic group, full of information and assistance. A wide variety of experience across the board. And yes they can help you spend your money lol. I bought a base model 2017 and since have put about 10K into it in mods. I still have a long way to go to get it where I want it or even a partial way to where some of these guys have taken theirs. . . . . . . .
It is more fun to put the MILES on that Slingshot

My point exactly, is it not a sad situation where our society has degraded to this? Otherwise Justina and I choose to live our lives where fear does not dominate us, that is what I am saying.
Bill
It is not fear! It is being prepared. Kind of like, how much groceries do you keep in your house.
-
Do you carry a spare tire?
Do you own a fire extinguisher?
Do you have smoke detectors in your home?
Do you have home owners insurance?
Better to be prepared than naive, it can happen any where any time.
Are you armed is another one

Welcome TxTiger. This is a great forum. I somehow stumbled on it by accident googling SS stuff. One of the luckiest things that has ever happened to me. I too was a two wheel rider from nearly birth. Sold my last one a few years ago. Road it 52 miles in two years. We've put over 8 thousand miles on our SS since April and we love it. People on this forum are so helpful and patient with us newbies. The collective knowledge on this forum is awesome. As for your windshield, I am in the same boat as you. I want a bigger one but not sure how big. I want to barely see over window. I am going to Maggie Valley and see all the vendors and I am sure come home with another windshield.
If you are planning on changing the seats wait until you change the seats before buying the wind screen
