I was with you until you called us a bunch of misfits. You really think we're misfits? You're wrong. This group of weirdos fits together just fine.

Heh, Heh....yeah....maybe "misfits" was too strong a word.......you're right...I should have used weirdo's or DAMN Bastards....or some such form of loving title along those lines.....my bad :00009079:

Call me sentimental...I have incredible memories from early on...when we were all dreaming of the mythical unicorn....we have created and grown into quite a family and don't plan on losing my guys!!!

Thanks @DKF Texas. I'm rather new to the scene, so I missed out on being a part of the early crowd. But almost to a person, you all have accepted myself, and other newcomers without hesitation, and it's because of all your willingness to patiently share your experiences and knowledge with us noobs, that makes this bunch of misfits such a solid group!!! I have grown to respect almost everyone in the Sling community and I'm ready to offer my support and assistance at the drop of a hat....no questions asked!!! I am a straight shooter, and if I give my word, it may as well be written in stone. I'm not a mental giant by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have a fantastic memory for those that have done me right......and also for those that have not. Anyone who has spent time around me knows my 2 biggest mottos: "I'll get over it, but I'll never forget it" & "You'll need me before I need you".
The other forum is just that.....another forum. I put some serious time and effort into being a positive part of that forum, but it's just words on a screen, and I can move on if that's what they want. This forum is a fresh start for all of us, and maybe it was meant to happen, and because of it, our lives will interact in new and unexpected ways that would not have happened on the other forums.......everything happens for a reason!!!......well, except for @BONES....and @Tripod....I think they were conjured up somehow from a galaxy far far away.....just sayin...... :00000019::00000012::00007555::00007555:

    Too little too late.

I'm over there doing battle right now on the inability to edit posts. Interesting that it's only affecting some people who are also here on this forum now...

Yep....I posted a response to Rob's shock install post and saw that I too was included in the "no edit" censorship. I truly appreciate DKF and what she tries to do over there, but sadly, I think she is all alone in those efforts.
Here is what I posted in response to @DKF Texas request to report the issue:

DKF Texas said: Hey guys a couple of y'all have reported this. Anyone having the same problem please go ahead and report it. Might help the admin figure it out.[emoji6]

[/quote]Thanks for your efforts @DKF Texas (I have witnessed your honorable intentions, and appreciate them). I too have no edit capabilities, and oddly enough, I have a membership to the other slingshot forums (including the newest). It's unfortunate that things have progressed....or regressed, depending on how we look at them, to this point. I'm not much on "conspiracy theories" kind of stuff, but this is not just coincidence or a sudden mass issue with personal computers needing their cache cleaned. I am guilty of reaching out to friends that happen to be members of this forum (Via PM's as suggested by moderators and admin), and letting them know that there was a new and exciting slingshot forum available, and that I would love to have them join that forum as well. As a matter of fact, I belong to three slingshot forums at this time, and reached out to friends on one of the other forums at the same time via PM's. Oddly enough, my PM's to those people in the other forum did not get censored and I did not get punished for reaching out and inviting them. I have not used derogatory language in ANY forum and have not been a negative influence in ANY forum. I feel it is everyone's right to make their own decisions, and I respect those decisions. So if any person decides to join or not join the other forums, it's their choice. I am guilty of offering my friends information to help broaden their Slingshot experiences. I have not asked one single person to abandon this forum, nor would I. I am a Premium member and have always shown nothing but respect for all members, including moderators. It's never been my habit to make "knee Jerk" reactions to things that get posted on any forum, and I always try to look at both sides of the coin. I will hold out hope that this is indeed some odd anomaly, and will be corrected quickly. Otherwise, it is a sad day indeed for the owner(s) and moderators of this forum, as it will have removed any "appearances" of being a stand up, respectable forum. Respect is earned, not demanded, and I have shown nothing but respect for this forum, and everyone that is a part of it. I should think that the same level of respect would be shown to me in return. Thanks again for your involvement DKF, and I hope I get the honor of meeting you in person some day!!!!

TICK TOCK....TICK TOCK.........and help him get banned for life instantly!!! :00007579::00007555::00000014::00007793:

Other than that....he has no place with the fine folks on this forum. I was quite offended with his callous & insensitive remarks towards our vets and members asking for intelligent answers to their concerns.

Yeah, but some of us got no skills, other than a ride, a place to stay and a beer-stocked fridge....... If you are in real trouble........ tools, trailer, garage, lift, etc. might be nice to know. I mean- if it were me, would I prefer to call someone like me.................... or Rabtech?
Anyone not being able to figure that out deserves the old place....... just sayin'

Agreed......I would love to have a Rab in every town, but I'm not that lucky!!! I suppose it would still be nice to have someone to reach out to in an emergency. Any help is better than none, if you unexpectedly find yourself sitting alone on the side of some road out in the middle of nowhere. Even if the comfort we can offer is a dry place, and hot meal......Oh, and frosty beverages, of course!!!!

@Thomas Sleight....so glad you are Ok!!! Like we always say....the Sling can be fixed or replaced, but people.....not so much!!!
It's also awesome to hear about how quickly fellow Slingers jump to the call and offer help!!! I just posted in another thread discussing some kind of "Man Down" network, and this would be a perfect example of having it available to anyone in need!!! (Our very own "little Black Book of Slingshot Contacts") We all have cell phones these days, so we could have this info with us where ever we are and need help, or just want to meet up.
I'll be happy to share my contact info with anyone who wants to build their own little black book....just PM me or email me: roadog1aj@yahoo.com
    Again....super glad you're Ok Brother!!!!!

I agree 100%. My wife and I are super careful about publicly posting too much personal info.....heck, the closest thing to social media for us is a couple forums.....no face books, twitters, skype.....nothing.
We do believe in helping out good people when we can, and I've gotta say, the Sling community seems to have some of the finest specimens known to exist!!! I'd love to send any forum members my contact info if they want to create their own "little black book" for emergencies or meet-ups. Just PM me (or email me direct: roadog1aj@yahoo.com) and we'll go from there. I've already had the honor of exchanging info with a few of the fine people on this forum, and have no problem exchanging info in case of a "Man Down" situation and someone needs a helping hand!!! With all the awesome people have Slings....it we could build a network that would rival AAA......well maybe not that big....but I can dream can't I ????

That is all Greek to me

No worries my friend! Here is a somewhat better instruction (I hope):
    1) Go the post you want to copy
    2) Take your mouse and put the cursor (arrow thingy) at the beginning of the first word (or picture if you only want to copy only a picture) of your post, and then press and hold the left mouse button.
    3) While still pressing the mouse button, drag the cursor to the right until you've highlighted all the words (or pictures) in that line. Then, while still pressing the left mouse button, drag the cursor (arrow thingy) towards the bottom of the screen. (You should see everything you've highlighted turn a shaded color).
    4) Let go of the left mouse button. (If you find that you didn't highlight everything you wanted....don't sweat it....simply do the highlighting process again until you've got everything you want inside the shaded area)
    5) Once you've highlighted (shaded) everything you want to copy, let go of the left mouse button (everything should remain shaded)
    6) Now move your cursor (arrow thingy) over any part of the shaded area, and click the right mouse button one time.
    7) A drop down menu should appear.
#8 Move your cursor (arrow thingy) to the word "Copy" and click the left mouse button one time.
    9) Now go to the new forum and choose the category or section you want to put your information into.
    10) On the upper right side of the screen you should see a button: " * New Thread". Click your left mouse button on it.
    11) When the New Thread opens, place your cursor (arrow thingy) in the window below the "Message" area.
    12) Click your right mouse button one time.
    13) A drop down menu should appear.
    14) Move your cursor (arrow thingy) over the word "Paste" and click your left mouse button one time
    15) If you did the procedure correctly, everything you wanted to move from the old forum to the new forum should appear.
    16) Review what you moved to be sure you copied everything you intended to. If you missed something, you can either cancel your new thread ("Cancel" can be found at the lower right side of the screen next to "More Options" & "Submit"), or go back to the old post and do the "Copy & Paste" trick with the other stuff you wanted to add to your new thread. If you do add to the new thread, be sure to go to the very bottom of that post (below the last line of words, or picture), then click your right mouse button and choose "Paste". Your additional info should appear below your old info. If it did not, simply click the cancel button and try again.

I hope this helps you @FunCycle!!!

I would like to move my whole build thread over here rather than starting over. I have no idea how to do it or if someone told me how if I could do it. I am not a computer or I phone person

I was worried about the same thing, and thought I'd try a simple copy & paste attempt. Worked like a charm!! I just highlighted my whole post about installing the LED Turn Signal Lights in the "other forum", right clicked my mouse, chose "copy", then opened a new thread on this site, right clicked in the body of the new thread and clicked "paste". WHALLA!!!! Needless to say...I was jumping out my own ass, I was that happy!!!

Wow, didn't know anyone cared. Thanks. I do roll my own, and someday I may quit. Just not there yet

Yeah...we roll our own too........Oh, wait....just what kind of leafy plant are you referring too......
Just for the record....we roll our own Oregano so we can enjoy some flavorful spicy goodness........:thumbup:

LMAO!!!! Where do you think the best place would be for me to post it?

Good question @slingking. Perhaps @rabtech might be able to create a "Sticky" for you specifically, or a category for that kind of thing??? Your vids and insights are priceless to our community, so perhaps the Admins can come up with the perfect solution!!!

If you follow the money....it all comes back to the Tobacco industry dumping money into the politicians they have in their pockets. All the negative articles, and so called "studies", etc. have been funded by them (including these idiotic laws that are being drummed up). There have been some very good articles by well respected medical professionals that go against the "industry" and show that vaping is not in the same universe as tobacco products, and has the best proven record for helping people cut down, and/or quit smoking completely. Smoking and vaping are two different beasts. Vaping has it's goods and bads as well, but informed people can make good decisions about the products they use for vaping. Many e-juice manufacturers use only top food grade ingredients, and the best packaging for their products. They will also have chemical information posted or available to you on their web sites. I do not buy any e-juice products that is produced outside the USA, and those companies must also get their base ingredients from inside the USA as well. Just remember......you might not be smoking, but you are still inhaling something in the vapors.....make sure you know what it is, and are comfortable with it. I'm 100% against tobacco from the tobacco industry!!!! (Natural tobacco does not have all the carcinogens added to it, so I have no issue with homegrown tobacco products) So if vaping can help some people move away from smoking....it's worth trying out. I also agree with @Cape Sling.....quitting completely is THE best answer, but not everyone can do it that way. So healthy vaping is a viable alternative, since you can also start out with a higher Nic level, and lower the level over time, until, hopefully you are at zero Nic!!!

Holly Cow A-DOG, You got some talents you and your woman..And All this time I just thought you knew how to wax and make Yeast/ Carb eats....I have been proved wrong once again!!

Thanks Brother! I just goof ass around with stuff, cuz I can't sit still for more than two minutes at a time. The wife is truly gifted with her artistic talents.
Hey!!!.......I just now noticed......I think you've made slingshotinfo.com history!!!!.....you just completed a very long sentence with out one DAMN!!!!.......Ok, what's wrong, my friend.....you upset about something....you're not bound up, or got a fart caught crossways, or something like that??? Please tell me you're not all DAMNED out!!!!! Oh the humanity!!!!

Absolutely!! As soon as I find some time, I'll post whatever everyone thinks might be helpful.

Hey @slingking.....how bout posting your link to your King of Reviews site?? That's where your award winning vids live and have sex when the lights are off!!!!

Can't remember a nightmare in my life until I tried Chantix to quit. Would wake up sweating, scared shitless or wakeup from extreme violent act and saw my wife sleeping next to me. That was it, done with that crap. Still trying to quit, must have got the wrong vaping stuff, would give me a dry sore throat so I quit those. Anyone experience that? I should try something previously mentioned here.

Sorry to hear about your dry hits brother!! Your vaping experience can definitely be better!!! It all depends on what device you were vaping, if it had adjustable voltage/wattage capabilities, what type of tank you were using, what type of e-juice (PG/VG ratio & Nic level). I would also recommend that you steer clear of the pre-packaged e-cigs. You will not find any of them satisfying or flavorful enough to want to stick with them. I have zero doubt that if you can be outfitted with the right vaping device and e-liquid, you'll simply love it!!!! I recommend starting with some research. Go to Tasteyourjuice.com and spend some time reading and watching the excellent informational things on that site. That guy really helped me make some intelligent choices, pus it cut down my failure rate immensely. Hope this helps ya get started in the right direction @SlingJockey!!! If I can help even more, feel free to PM me!!!!
