Hit the nail on the head sir. I'm having a hard time deciding on materials if that is indeed the route I take...

Ok, so I know you're struggling with the decision......so never let it be said that Ole Roadog didn't step up and lend a helping hand!!!! Go ahead and order the PRP seats with Black Ostrich centers, Havasu Red sides and back, Red stitching, and lets even throw in the Red PRP logo. Now, if you don't like these seats, simply put em back in the box, and ship to your pal Roadog!!! To sweeten the deal, I won't even charge you for taking them off your hands!!! Heck, you're even close enough, I'd drive down and pick them up....saving you shipping costs!!! There ya go!!! How easy was that!!! I promise to go ahead and suffer with them if you don't like them!!!!....No need to thank me.....that's just how I roll my friend :00007555:

For clarification my issues isn't so much having to put a towel over the seats to stop them from baking. Basically I took the SS out of my cool garage and drove for an hour and even starting with cool seats I ended up with a wet back. Do the prp seats suffer from this as well?

Just my thoughts on this.......I'm thinking that even with the top, you're still going to be in "sticky" situations throughout the duration of any extended riding....just because of ambient temps on a warm to hot summer day.(not just direct sunlight) I'd research the PRP seat building app, and take a good hard look at all the different materials available. I'm thinking there's a combination of fabrics that could help make your riding experience more enjoyable, plus the added pleasure of how comfortable those seats are reported be over stock. If it were me, I'd also call someone at Slingmods to help describe the various materials, and recommend the best set-up for me.

Cool! As I'm reading your post I'm also wearing a Glock shirt. Just got home a little bit ago from the gun range, today was qualification shooting for my 4-year CCW renewal. Still have to clean my firearms.
There was a chick there, shooting on my left side, who kept having problems with her Beretta 9mm. She was a noob to shooting & the range instructors kept having to clear her weapon for her. After about the 5th time, I look down at the cartridges on the ground that they were clearing from her gun & yelled "Holy shit! Get her off the line RIGHT NOW!"
She had a mixture of .38 Special, .40 S&W & 9mm rounds in her magazines!!! WTF!!!

AMAZING!!! I'm sure the instructors were quite thankful you saw what that moron had in her gun!!! It could have ended very very badly for her, as well as others!!!!!!...........you can't fix stupid!!!!!

Well, my OCD/Analness finally got the better of me. I just couldn't reconcile the idea of the radiator deflector turning all that air flow downward, and nothing was getting further back to remove the heat from around the engine, exhaust manifold, and muffler. Even though the heat shield is mounted to the muffler, I couldn't imagine any air flow getting to it and help remove the hot air from the engine compartment on that side. It gets frickin HOT in that area, and there is quite a bit of plastic.....wires, wire covers, even the hood itself has a ton of plastic in that area. SOOoooo.....I bit the bullet and removed the radiator air deflector. I didn't relish the idea of doing all that work to remove the deflector, but now I feel way better about everything. I think the muffler heat shield and extra foam in the side cover will be plenty effective for us where we live.

My best so far, is Progressive:$671/year (in Ohio). I think the rates may drop over time, as the Slings become more populous, and more insurance companies get on board.

Gotta admit you do good work @BONES!!! :00000436: Nice batch of family units :00007555::00007555::00007555: ......except for the "mailman".....someone needs to photo-shop his DAMN ass outta there........HAH!!! :00008172:

Hello , Im Jay.... Im a Sling A-HOLIC. I have been addicted since last Sept and modding in my Addiction. I have tried to get clean, but I can't stop spending. I have even started to lie to my wife and tell her all the parts that show daily were ordered months ago & just came off "back order"

LMAO!!! That's exactly what I told my wife when we pulled up to the garage after work the other day, and my Pioneer speakers were sitting by the door!!! I made sure to tell her that I wasn't sure, but I think there are still a couple more items on back order yet...........had to keep my options open for a surprise mod that might come any day now!!!!

Great info @jorgebri60!! I was following this on the other forum. I saw your input over there, and was hoping your issue would get fixed quickly for you. I'm having this issue as well. After about 20 minutes I start feeling a lumpy resistance when I go from center to either side with the wheel. It isn't real bad, but quite noticeable. I plan on bringing this to my dealership's attention when I take it in for the headlight harness recall. I figure I might as well wait until the flash comes out from Polaris, so my dealer has any and all tools at their disposal. I don't want my baby staying with them any longer than necessary!!! Please keep us updated as your adventure evolves!!!!!

I put the FB brace on mine last fall, thinking it might solve my mushy brakes. It helped, but my brakes were still far too soft on the first pump. Since I fixed my "air in the system" issue, I'm loving my brakes. Whether people have mushy brakes or not, the brace can only help, since it helps eliminate most of the firewall flex.

Allrightee, I installed my Pioneer 5.25 speakers this morning. Super easy install. I think some members did this and found that the middle piece on the speaker hit the original Polaris speaker cover. I have the Red Dress up rings on my covers, so buying the Pioneer speaker covers was not the way to go for me. So, I got out my trusty ball peen hammer, laid a soft towel on my workbench, and proceeded to "massage" the "innee" of the metal cover into an "outee". Worked like a charm and cost me nothing!!! Simple fix for those that don't want to buy speaker covers. There is a nice improvement from the Pioneer's compared to the original speakers, so I'm a happy camper now!!!
Here's a pic of the speaker before making it an "outee":

And here's the speaker cover after being "massaged" into an outee:

Well, my peace of mind was short lived.......they did reinstate my edit function. But only as far back as April 7th. @DKF Texas jumped in yet again, and will try to help if we will report our issue. I did start clicking the report button on posts I found that were affected, but quickly realized it started on April 7th and older posts. I can't report each post since I've got over 600 of the little buggers to report.....so I told them about what I found in one of the reports and we'll see where it goes from there.
