I tried to book comfort inn (host hotel) last October but they were fully booked. So I went on their wait list.
I thought I had a snowballs chance in hell of getting a room there. Unbelievable, they called this week.... seems they had a cancellation..... somebody's loss.... my gain!
So, now that I am in the 'host' hotel, I'm just wondering what are they hosting? Isn't everything now being held at the fairgrounds???

This Florida sun is hard on an old man!
Need a top quick fast hurry RD.
It would be an honor to sport an early Proto type.
Hooking up with EJ Ford next week and some others from Indiana for
some Serious SSing in SW Fla.
Will definitely drop in on cycle springs.

I still love that Dolly for an easy transport.
Question to the group though..... In light of the recall, what are the thoughts on this mode of transport with the strain of the pull backwards on that swingarm? Wait until the fix is done?

There is no strain on the swing arm. The rear wheel is strapped into the cradle portion which pivots in the middle of the dolly under-frame.

On my snowbird drive from Indy to N. Ft Myers Thursday I took a side trip in Georgia to drop in on Ruptured Duck (RD) to have a look-see at the prototype top. All I can say to you all is you will not be disappointed if you get one of his tops. It is totally AWESOME!!! So simple and clean looking! He is very meticulous and has put a lot of thought into the design. I'm 6'1 and climbing in and out of his SS with the top mounted was a piece of cake. Having the complete top pivoting up from above the front windshield area allows you to get in without having to be a contortionist as required from other brands. RD's top has a lot more shield coverage area from the sun rays which is what us old farts need to ward off the potentially skin cancer threats.... Especially In Florida. And the price?? Well, it's not etched in stone yet but it's targeted to be 2 to 3 times lower priced than others in the market place. RD is very focused on the product and very down to earth with his anticipated price structure? He sorta reminds me of a very notable well respected gentleman who many of us know and admire that does his thing from his heart and passion and not so concerned about the all mighty dollar....he goes by the name 'PAINTER'!. Anyway, there are but a few loose ends to tie up and some last minute finessing and RD can set his sights toward production soon. Doesn't look like they will be ready in time for Santa but I'm hoping that perhaps the Easter Bunny will deliver one to me. I wanna be the first on my block to have one! All I can say to you out there in SS land that are interested, be patient, it's coming, you'll be glad you waited cause from what I saw, you will not be disappointed! I might add that he is also working on several other goodies for our SS but I don't want to steal his thunder. OK RD full steam ahead!

Wife and I booked in Ramada for 6 nights. May depart Indy on Sunday to satisfy her garage sale fix along the way. We also are on the wait list for Comfort Inn. We are both registered for the event and the sit down dinner. Will be hooking up with some riders along the way from the 'Indy SS Riders' group on FB.

Side panel removal is very easy and quick. Removed mine today to pull out the exhaust manifold and muffler assembly. I first tried removing all the front screws and just pull back on the panel. Got tired of hassling and fighting with the panel pull back method so I dedicated to take 2 more minutes to remove the remaining screws to free up the panel. I'm installing new header and 60 inch long duel side pipes on each side.

What a amazing time Judi and I had at the meet. This was our first rodeo and will never be forgotten. Met some wonderful people to hang out and talk with. Good to see EJ Ford again....that guy knows some stories! Was great to see all the mods and the creativity that went into them. It was a privilege and honor to be able to take a ride in slingrazors super duper charged SS. Thanks so much Trent. That certainly beats any carnival ride all to hell! Allen did an amazing job putting this gig together..... My hat is off to you buddy and you can certainly put me down for next years event! We left out Sun at 5AM for our 10 hour drive to Indianapolis. The tow dolly did great as we boogied at 80 mph most of the way. Gonna hook up with Painter and Slingryder this Fri for a lunch ride thru the Brown County woods around Nashville Indiana. Just can't get enough of this Slingin.
