LS swap to much Horsepower for single traction wheel and to much weight over the front to enjooy those twisty curves..

I really think that the 280 some HP that I have is more than enough for a Slingshot that you can control the power

any more for me would get me in a lot of trouble.... And really feels balanced with design and tracking width..

The only downside to Sling or any 3 wheeler is WET weather ...

It all depends on gearing and where and when you put the power down . I have had some bikes put plent of HP down on just two wheel and I do agree it would make it nose heavy. Though I should know my roll .. I Have 30 miles on mine and waiting for the winter to be over so I dont even know what 200 feels like yet...

Not interested in anything newer than what I have - they lost my interest when they switched to the Polaris engine, The idea of being tied to Polaris as the only source of drivetrain related parts combined with an unproven engine - - Not for me!

I love that the GM engine and drivetrain has been put to the test in thousands of different vehicles and millions of miles.

Yep - I'm keeping Cage Free until it dies and then I will either be done or I'll find something different - one sling only, love the one I have and never buying another

Why is it when I read this I kept thinking... LS swap....

Hello all, So as I look to next season and get some smaller things set up one of them is radio. My 2022 has the dash-mounted tweeters and kick panels.

What is everyone doing for upgrades and or add-ons. I am not looking to swap out the deck or anything but just a single set of front speakers barely cuts it.

As I lok at tops I see a lot with speaker enclosures and whatnot. Is there additional line outs on the factory head unit to handle rear speakers?

possible smaller sub-options for behind the seat and needing an input for those I assume the factory head unit doesn't have any 5 volt rca jacks.

Also these seem like simple questions and usually, there are wiring diagrams and or info but struggling to find it. Is there a factory wiring diagram published? for a 2022?

Yes most definitely do. That's what doesn't make sense to me is how doing nothing more than adding a fuse that is of the correct amperage and a fuse holder designed to hold the current draw on it would make it to where the ignition position no longer works. Like I said it's like the key cylinder now has 2 acc positions everything acts exactly the same no matter which position the key is in.

Best bet as it was melted by the fuse is more damage could have been caused. I would start tracing the ignition wiring in general. Never a fun thing to do but I would start there.

If you're on Facebook, 2 groups you should join.......

    MA-NH Slingshots

    Northeast Slingshot

Great people in both groups that get together for wicked group rides in your area.

Think about taking a ride down around the Quabbin next season. Couple descent watering holes we could meet at and ride from there with a small group.

    Already there...

Put some vinyl wraps on the bars for the entry cage and grip for the passenger... plus a car cover to keep the dust off it when in the garage.

So the real question ... what have you named your slingshot? Boy? Girl? The debate with the wife on what we will be naming it has become a hot debate in my house.

WHat are you guys running for temp at idle and cruising?

I am new to SLingshot and have been hoving around 190/ 200 and that feels high to me.

Checked the manual and doesn't mention what the temps should be. I dont want to make any assumptions so figured I would ask.

    Hello All,

I have been bouncing around this forum for a few weeks and thought I would do an intro post.

Names Kevin ( go by kener most of the time ) I am an IT / Computer nerd. Wifes a Nurse ( good for taking care of my stupid decisions.)

I have always had a garage toy and every few years I get something new. Wife and I got into riding bikes a few years ago as I loved the open road free wind feeling when riding. I have had my fair share of speed machines. A few 4 wheel monsters. Wrenching is \my hobby.

Being in New Hampshire riding season is only 9/10 months a year so gives me plenty of time for mods.

My current ride is a 2022 R. It is an auto ( wife cant drive stick).

Chatted with a few of you already and you guys have been more then welcoming. I plan to absorb as much knowledge and break a few things along the way!
