Mine does very similar. Only on occasion with the rev hang....and I notice only when short shifting because I am in FL Snowbird traffic. Going to a stop though, definitely stays higher RPM than it used to. Took a little getting used to, but so did the power increase. My gut, and a will guess, the tune may feed a little extra fuel to avoid a lean condition while the boost is vented or spools down.

Great advice above. You mention you want 4 speakers plus a sub. The best IMO way is a 5 channel amp, although you could do a 3 or 4 (if the 4 channel amp can bridge and you use 4 ohm speakers). Best, get a 5 channel amp, and make sure that it takes line level (speaker level) inputs -- that way no external adapter, and will be cleaner. You will pay a little more typically, but realistically not allot. In fact, if you search Amazon you can get a 5 channel with line input starting at $125 (I would go a little higher end....), and easily going to $500. My advice, I would get a Marine rated if possible, elevate off floor slightly, and stick with a good name brand (alpine, JL, Pioneer. etc). I have a JL 700/5 and it is great.....but may be more than you need. It does have allot of adjustability/crossovers built in, so unlikely to out grow. Alpine, Pioneer, and Rockford tend to have some good sweet spots.

I installed two alpine tweeters in the center stack under the radio, where the "flat spots" are in the plastic panels. I stole the idea from Rabtech, although used a slightly different location to ensure I did not hit the break Line (Was drilling by myself). The tweeters really brightened up the sound when installed. Te down side, one is slanted to the passenger, one towards the driver, so far less than optimum. I mainly wanted to bring in a front stage, and was happy although lost some true stereo.

Can shoot pictures if needed, but if you find a picture of Rabs center stack it will give you the idea.

As for wiring, I would advise buying a band pass filter (crossover) for the tweets vice trying to wire into the RFs. There are tons of options allowing you to match passed frequencies with the tweeter you pick. In fact, some tweeters come with their own.

welcome. "The Dark Side" is another Slingshot site on the net. While some info, it is no where near as active as this site, and often you get highly critical feedback vice constructive info (like here). For example, I asked about speakers, and the feedback I got from a moderator was they are "not speakers, they are drivers......". Understand that technically was correct, go to best buy and ask where their car drivers are. The best people are here.

The search on this site works well, but I've also had luck just using google and including slingshot in the question....."like what tire size fits the slingshot...". Google will most often pop up numerous links to this site (and the TDS.....), where I've had trouble with searches within site on RARE occasions.

On tire choice,,,,,any are better than the stocks! As MACAWS mentioned, allot of choices and somewhat depends on what you want....soft, quiet, etc.

Kaytwo, I believe you are correct, but a nice feature of Sena is the ability to share music....so one headset to the stereo, then it shares with the second headset. Not a perfect solution, but has worked for me in the past.

    Thanks guys!
Morning Al, hope this finds you ready to ride, supposed to be great weather for a couple days.

It has been a while since I've worked to connect Sena's in a complicated fashion like above.....so I do not have the complete process in mind. A couple of things I remember though. First, the Senas can connect it varying profiles to different devices, and the right profile is very important. If you use the wrong one, can have disconnect issues or can't connect other items. Second, I've had some luck sharing music between two Sena headsets vice connecting each straight to a radio. See the link below to do so......

My old setup was on a BMW 1600 GTL.....worst bluetooth I've ever seen. If you search their forums, there are suggestions on how (what profile) to set the Senas......took many many iterations to get working. Sorry I do not have an answer, but may be a source to look.

Thanks all. I was thinking the number for the sidewall was the actual sidewall height. Thanks again. Guess I better check mine out since I replaced the Kenda 305 with a Nitto 315.

A 10 up will have minimal impact. I would not worry at all about that. It's only when you start jumping major numbers, like 275 to 345, you need to worry. In those cases, you have to look at front to back so the nanny controls work right etc.

Essentially, I would take a USB-to-CAN FD reader (may have to make one on the Arduino if they are too expensive) and stream that data to a few opensource apps I know which could help me determine some of the PID’s which are stored in hexadecimal. Once I know those ID’s, I would then make an 8-pin connector, wire-up a micro pcb board to route that data via Bluetooth, and put some micro process in an OLED (or something to that effect) for visual output.
    EASY PEAZY!!

I had to check which site I was on for a minute.......I thought the Chinese had hacked here! ;) I love playing with tech and hacking stuff, but am realizing that I've gotten really old. I understand everything you are saying, but would have NO IDEA how to do, or where to start. ?( Makes me realize i "used to be" an electrical engineer.

The tire sidewall is actually a ratio of the width. For example in a 255 X 35 X 20 The rim height is 20 inches, and the sidewall is roughly 35% of 255. Now if you go to a 275 X 35 X20 the sidewall height is about 35% of 275, or slightly more. the actual tire diameter is the rim size plus 2 times the sidewall height.

I love the upgraded radiator, have been running it since July - like @Slingrazor mentioned; it’s an easy installation. Nice little extra insurance for the engine

Does it really seem to make a difference, or do you have a temp gauge? Have a supercharger, and have been debating, but am not sure the stock radiator is really a limiting factor. Hoping someone has data on difference, but even that is tough with a thermostat in place etc. Thx

Meansling, I had a supercharger installed, and my hood lift was removed. I need to reinstall on the drivers side, as it no longer fits the passenger. Can you send me the install instructions? Did not keep mine.

    Thanks

Thanks Lowlander. Replied (via e-mail, as that is how it came) with my contact info as well. When you have an idea on time, let me know. As mentioned, I can lay them in front of my townhouse door as well during the day if I am not going to be around. Somewhat low probability of theft during day hours......

I could use them. But will not be in your area til late Tues. I will have my truck tho, so pickup will be easy.

Lowlander, in no hurry if you want to shoot for Tues or Wed.....or even the weekend. They are in a closet right now. . If not, br would be yours. Pls Let me know

I have a set of base model SS rims with tires free to anyone that can pick up in St Pete Beach, FL. The tires have just over 1K miles on them. Good condition. Please PM me if you want them. The rims would be a PIA to ship, so looking for local pick up only. Thanks

For those concerned about stuff getting behind it you could just apply clear silicone around the edges, that is what I am planning to do.

That was my thought as well. I added the comment of "rust" to the TDS comment as a joke, but I am not sure what a little dirt or moisture getting in would hurt. Aluminum and plastic hold up pretty well to both (hence bad rust joke I made), so I am not sure I need any sealant.

    Great simple solution.
