That looks awesome! Much better than protruding from the door and not being able to recline your seat fully...

Still takes the storage, but very nice! If I ever do put a sub, I'll also need some fully functioning, Corbin bags (version 12.0 that hopefully have no issues at all unless you crash your Slingshot) to get some storage back. That would also take care of the need for a fender... Oh, $$$$ ;(

    Hmm... Sounds like a politician...

Why post it then? The title, tone, and message brings negativity...

I'm just playing devil's advocate...

And honestly, it is about money, and 4nines wouldn't have "responded" if it didn't matter... The impact on traffic must have taken a hit, enough to warrant a response...

But whatever, I'm over drama, it's about sharing, learning, helping, and getting along here! :00000436:

4nines is the owner of PRC (POLARIS RANGER CLUB) with about 30,000 members and RZR FORUM with about 90,000 members and a whole list of vendors. I don't know if he has any others. Slingshot forum I don't know how many members but must not Be enough to worry about.

Ha... The 1st troll... Was wondering when they'd show up from behind the "guest" status...

    • Now if it didn't matter, why you here telling us that? :00008356:

Sorry @MiM what do you mean by inner/outer. I know it sounded good for what it was compared to no radio until you start moving. It was inexpensive at the time he is redoing it now. I think you are on right track with both sides would give more of surround sound. That is exactly what I have been contiplating.

I meant if his were installed on the inner panels (center console, leg panel area) or outer panels (opposite center console), but I think I figured out it was on the inner panels.

I'm going to remove those panels this weekend and if all looks good, Amazon order and jigsaw time... :00008023:

Getting the 6.5 modified mod-pods from @BKL hopefully! Those will be opposite the center console speakers...

Actually, you're right... About everything! Lol... I meant driver's right, passenger's left!

Anyway, thanks @JimM! Looked up @shot on the "other" forum and saw his picture of the "Dual" brand speakers in the black plastic panel. Do you happen to know if that's inner or outer? Hard to tell from the picture and I only found the one picture.

I wouldn't just be using the 2 4inchers there, also 6.5s on the other sides (using pods to mount). So 4 speakers total.

    This forum is awesome!

I thought you were talking about the console area. I was referring to the trans tuned area in my post.
The outer area I'm not sure about. I think it might go behind the area of the black textured fender. If you search some on the installation of the heat management foam from Polaris that comes with the shroud. I saw a post somewhere that had that plastic completely removed.

    Stephen

    Not sure what you mean...?

So I know @rabtech put some tweeters in there, but has anyone placed like 4" or maybe larger speakers in the black plastic panels of the footwells? Driver's left and passenger's right? What's behind there? I hit them and it sounded hollow... If I cut a hole and surface mount some speakers, would they fit?

Working on planning my next mod... Sound!

To save on cost, I'm going with Planet Audio bluetooth amp, JBL GT speakers (6.5s in mod-pods and then the 4s in the center console)... Should run about $250.

Yes! That center console... Foam and leather, $200?!? Come on... "But it's all high quality and handstiched..."

Who cares! Get China or Mexico to do it, $50. Just saying...

We bought custom bench cushions online for a built in, $300. Got a backup set (again, two little, messy girls) across the border (benefits of STX living), and $100. Just about the same quality... Actually, a bit better considering cost.

    Thanks @gpcustoms! You rock!

Okay, now you've got me thinking of DIY... I used to do it on my previous vehicles back when I was younger and wanted to save, but heck, now I don't even cut my own lawn... It's more an issue of time and having two little girls on the weekends...

I'm not even sure I could get under her... Need a jack... Eh.... :00008862:

Almost at 5000 miles and considering where to do oil change...

I read on the forum that shall not be named (the other one) that oil changes at dealerships were running $150 or more... I haven't checked my local dealer (Team Mancuso Powersport), but Zorro did provide his 500 mile service record from Bert's Mega Mall and it was like $150...

Anyway, got a quote for Eneos Oil 5w-30 for $80. This is from DeviateAutosport in Houston TX. They work on many high-end vehicles and the guy's wrapped a couple of SSs... Great work in my opinion! You can see his stuff on Instagram or Facebook (@deviateautosport).

But back to the point... Recommendations? What would you do?
