I actually spent Christmas day going through the boxes to sort out the stuff (I bought lots of other pretty and shiny things to go with it) and then painted the oil pan. I’m in Florida I sent it out on 12/13 took a week to get there. Then you had all the holidays happen. Bob said he mailed it out 1/6 tracking says at my door 1/13 prob would have been smarter to do two day shipping but with holidays my ass got cheap. Im sure time of year made the process longer. Just my experience I’d get it out and done as soon as you can. With the install i took random days taking things apart so by the time the boxes arrived it was strictly install. Install takes about 6hrs with two people if u have everything off already. Best of luck turbo is tight get ready to use some magic words. Lol

Sure it’s been said over and the over but working with DDM on the stage 1 turbo kit was very easy and pleasant. I ordered during the holidays in the middle of a pandemic so shipping took some time but It was expected. DDM touched base with me to let me know they hadn’t forgotten about me which was real cool. As far as quality top notch everything was boxed up very nice not a scratch or dent on anything. Had to pick up the normal stuff listed in directions I also grabbed a few extra hose clamps of different sizes the BOV clamps were to small for the supplied hose even when fully open but def nothing worth crying about. Gets real tight near turbo doing water/oil lines probably the hardest part of the whole install. Had to call twice at night dave was right there to answer any questions I had excellent support. My Advise be patient with shipping and the Install and def send ur computer out as soon as possible mine took about a month to get done and shipped back out it arrives Wednesday. Can’t wait to fire up the engine as soon as it gets here and check all my connections. Huge thanks to DDM will def be using them again in the future.

Looking good 👍 got shipping details turbo be here Tuesday. Come Tuesday I will be sitting at the window cursing at every delivery truck that drives by and doesn’t stop. Wired up new gauges today and spent some time cleaning off the old oil pan gasket. Looking forward to hearing ur ride running.

When you order a turbo and you have to just sit and wait for it to get here. Everyday just taking more and more off the SS. Sitting in it in the garage in piece’s making the pshh sound. Wife coming in asking you what the hell ur doing responding dreaming. I cant wait weather in FL is perfect right now. Hopefully any week now.

Getting the oil pan past the plastic shroud on the Slingshots equipped with it can be a pain. We typically either remove that plastic shroud completely or trim it back during the installation to clear the pan while doing installs here. If you have someone to help pull up on the plastic shroud while removing the pan, that makes it a little easier if you are keeping the plastic shroud in place, but it is even trickier getting the pan back in with the RTV sealant on the pan if you are not using an oil pan gasket.

Also, when jacking up the engine, make sure to loosen the bolts holding the coolant overflow tank, that gives a little more room to jack the engine up.

Yeah I took the coolant bolts out prior. The engine definitely seems to be sitting high enough motor Mount bolts are flush and I’m lifting car at this point. It was just the space going forward with pan holding me up that I was confused about. I will more then likely get under there later and just trim out the shroud to make the room I need and my life easier at this point. Thanks for the help.

Thanks I did a search like you said. It’s looking like either people cut out or removed the behind radiator heat shroud pain in the butt. But I can def see if i was able to push all the way to the actual fan that the pan would come right out. Thanks for the help

Maybe I am just missing something I’m not sure. Oil pan is unbolted and loose, bottom motor mount bolts are off, engine is jacked up from tranny high as it can go. Engine is high enough to clear the pan from the frame bar but I have a solid black plastic fan guard that keeps me from pushing the pan far enough forward to drop the back of the pan under the frame. Tried to get pic of this guard to show what I’m talking about. Has anyone been able to drop the pan with out removing this guard if so any pointers? I’ve played with it for over a hour and just can’t seem to get out. My next step is to remove the whole radiator and fan assembly. Smh thanks for any advise.
