I believe it's for the 2016 models only. I'm sure the 2015 were not included, but not sure if the 2016 1/2 were or were not involved with this 'repair"

OMG, that's horrible, but it could have had a much worse ending. Sure hope she has a total recovery and you both can put this behind you and enjoy your time in the s/s once it gets repaired. That storm looked nasty, so we left Saturday afternoon to try and stay ahead of it on the way back to Florida. Going of the road into these "v" style trenches doesn't work well with slingshots.

Jay!! Who are you kidding?! These guys don't wanna hang with us! These guys are cool, they have a Wolfpack and matching t-shirts!! We aren't cool, we're room temperature at best!! And t-shirts? We have matching "pocket protectors"!! We're a pack of mice to their wolves! We are a PATHETIC group of SS owners, that can't even plan a ride with the 5 of us!! The coolest one we have is Matt ( Publius), hell, he showed up at the Libby's ride, took one look around, nodded, and said " I'm outta here!" They do fast rides down the Dragon, we couldn't get out of the parking lot at Libby's without a Police escort!! They talk about mods to improve speed and handling. We talk about dusters and wax!! I'm sure they pound shots of Jameson at the end of the ride, we sip Lattes, or an Appletini at best!! Hey, I'm just being a realist!! C'mon Jay, we live in CONNECTICUT for goodness sakes, how cool can we possibly be??!!However, I am going to SSITA, September 14-18th anyway. I hope Terry comes with me, cuz she's the coolest thing I have!! I'm sure I'll make some friends, because they'll all just feel sorry for my pathetic ass!!! My rim is scratched! Just sayin.

Jimmy, you're one of the cool guys. Who else has a low production numbered slingshot AND only rides it 4 months out of the year? ;););););)

I got the 3 year extended when I bought it for $600. Seemed reasonable depending on what expensive part failed, like the right angle drive maybe, or the 3 times already the rear axle bearings have failed would pay for itself easily. So with factory and extended, I'm covered for 5. I do know that there are parts where they may not cover due to mods or at least put up a fight about it. Anyway for just over $200/yr, I figured it was cheap insurance to keep Murphy at bay.

SJ, you might want to make sure what your extended policy says. Most 3 year extended warranties are just that - a three year warranty which is just one year after the factory warranty expires. A marketing ploy to sell more policies. Just make sure you bought a full three year policy that starts at the end of the factory 2 year coverage.

Yea, someone showed me a red one that accidentally hit the guard rail.

At least your doing ok and you didn't get hurt. I haven't heard any more about the red SS that wrecked. I think I heard they were ok but I'm not positive.

I don't know who it was, but I heard it was being towed back to his house here in Florida. Anyone know who it was?

AHHHH, I see . So you were linking to a HOW-TO on this site and they don't allow that...

Sad... I never block their site.

I guess they don't want people getting any answers to their questions.

They didn't sanction me yet for posting this comment about Tripod being missing.

<Quote> Yea, I think Tripod is ok. He got run over by a hedgehog and is hanging out with his slingshot buddies. Hope that's not too much info for you in this .com world we live in.

When I was really fat, I went to my doctor and asked for help. I told him that my belly was so large, I couldn't see my penis any more. He looked at me and said that I had better diet. I was shocked to hear him say that to me, so I asked him "Why doc, what color is it now?"

And heading the wrong way on I-40 lol. Be well Jamie. It was cool seeing you again even without Chris. But next time you need to make sure he tags along to the party. Key West is calling

Not to sidetrack this thread or hijack it in any way - BUT. I finally had my turn to meet Henry from Alpha after all this time. Not sure how that was going to play out, I can tell you that he's the real deal. We talked a bit and I told him that the work he and his guys do is sick. He even tossed on a second burger patty on my bun on Thursday night's BBQ. He's not only a restaurant owner, but he knows his way around a grill - the burger was done perfect. And to my surprise, when I was packing up to head out a day earlier to stay ahead of the storm, Henry came over, shock my hand and wished us a safe ride home. I told him we'd meet up again in the Rockies. Henry may be a good business owner, but he's also a great guy. Glad to have finally met you Henry and thanks for your friendship

So you're trying to say you basically kept it stock? j/k. Damn CR, after all this time I finally got my chance to meet you and see in person that awesome ride of yours. Too bad I never got the chance to follow you on any ride, but I'm sure it runs as great as it looks. We are no longer strangers, so if there's anything you need that i can assist with, feel free to contact me and I;ll do my best to help. You da man
