See Peg, that's the Phil we all know and love. I've seen him run out of product (hood buttons) at events and offer to take them off his personal slingshot to install on a customer's so they'd have a set without waiting. Most people don't go the extra mile like Phil (and most of the other vendors here)

Before he realized that it looks better having the big wheel in the back

Jared, it won't bother me that I'll never make the hall of fame. They can always use me as an example of what NOT to be or do. being old doesn't mean you still can't have roll models

The sex toy market must be booming! Everywhere I go I see boxes with a dildo on the side.
I see that this one has a PRIME label on it. Do the smaller ones have a CHOICE label? So how long has the USDA been in charge of the grading? Are they really inspected by the meat packers?

I think it goes without saying that Jim (Painter) and Dana (DKF) have to be the first two in the hall of fame. The reasons are obvious, but there aren't two better slingshot people that I'd like to spend my last living days with.

I will not be going to Victoria TX...
That is a bit to far.
Almost 13 hours.
Not the way your drive Bobby

That's nice. Mine seems to have a problem.
O/T I know, but Studiopeg, did you call your slingshot dealer to verify the warranty status for your slingshot? (1 year or 2)

There has been WAY too many reasons for prayers being sent to forum members. Don't get me wrong, it's NOT that I'm against prayers, but why has the weather decided to hammer so many wonderful people in the past couple of years? It was bad enough when Florida had to worry about the occasional hurricane or two and California had to worry about forest fires. But this has been unbelievable with horrendous rains, floods etc. When you add all that to the sickness and deaths, it's amazing more people don't drink
Enough soapbox for me. PLEASE be safe Mr. Comet and when they say evacuate - GO. Things can always be replaced, but lives can't
-
I just remembered why I don't want to go sightseeing in California

Thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot about it with all that's gone on this year. You're the best sis

The one thing this also illustrates is that you should always wear your seat belts in the slingshot. Your chances of survival are greatly increased if you do and stay inside the cabin as opposed to being tossed out and dealing with anything and everything in or near the highway

Erica, all the best vibes being sent to your mother and full support for you and your family. Hope she recovers quickly

Depending on what you have for an exhaust system, the fumes MAY get drawn back into the cabin based on the height of the windscreen and the type of top you have. There are ways that mitigate that (rear wing on the rear body panel, or the added strip mounted below mounted to the lower frame. I believe the Welter system that exits down low by the battery compartment does a fine job to keep those fumes out

I looked up the warranty. It says one year only, original owner only. ????????
That would be the first I've heard of the one year time frame. I checked mine (a 2015) and it's a 24 month term and is transferable at time of sale but doesn't extend coverage (so by omission, it also doesn't reduce it).
The newer models may have changed the length of coverage but if so, I'm sure it would have been common knowledge to everyone and posted as such on the forums. Any chance you can copy and post that from your manual?
added:
Even the new 2019 models have the 2 year warranty, so I don't know how it went to one year and then back to two.

Hey I know the chick that owns that Sling...She’s all “I’m from Texas” blah blah blah...
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know that chick from Texas too. But the chick I know is all about OTHER PEOPLE first. She's the most giving person I've met in a long long time. Tirelessly working her day job dealing in the high stress medical field, yet finds the time to enrich the lives of everyone she meets. Plus does more fundraising before noon, than most people do all year. I'm proud of her and glad she's an adopted slingshot sister of mine

The warranty is good for two years from the date of the initial sale. Second, third or tenth owner makes no difference. Don't let them buffalo you into paying for a factory issue

20 minutes until the big vote

Great reaction time. Too bad you had that much tire spin

They will replace the knock sensor and send you on your way. They had 3 of them in stock last time I checked with them. It's PITA problem. I've had 3 of them so far in 30,000 miles. Cheap parts, but as long as you're boosted, it's safe to ride

I was once accused of rape, but luckily the evidence wouldn't stand up in court (good thing i didn't take my bill pill that day)
