I run the Toyo Proxes on the back. It seems quieter than the Kenda, the traction is great and the mileage will be better for sure.

Overall though, wind noise seems like more of an issue than tire noise for me. But, it is what it is!

I’m thrilled with my new top! My wife and I went from the Charlotte, NC area to Norfolk, VA and back yesterday and the roof was awesome! It didn’t flutter, it improved air circulation and when it rained for 10 minutes...no water running down my face or neck.

The roof is everything we wanted and we are glad we waited for it. The addition of the mirror extensions will make the whole mod perfect.
As a first time customer of Allthingsslingshot, I was concerned about the delay and worried a bit...

BUT, kev now has a (another) loyal customer. I am extremely pleased with his product and his concern that the customer is taken care of. I’m looking forward to future purchases from Allthingsslingshot. THANKS kev

Well, I did order and pay for the mirror extensions, but they weren’t in the box.... Perhaps in a followup shipment.

That’s what I was going to ask Kevin about.

My top arrived today and I installed it! Yeah!!!

I do have one little problem though. The side mirrors are now useless... The mirror arms don’t swing in close enough so I can see beside me. They hit the new frame.

I sent kev an email asking him for guidance on this issue and I’m hoping there is a quick fix.

I’ll let you all know how this works out.

Great news! My Stow Away top is done and is shipping on Monday!!!! Kevin sent me pics of my top, not a model, mockup or someone else's top....mine!!!

Now I just have to wait for the delivery. This is like Christmas in July!!!!

Are there any members in Germany on this board?

I’m trying to ship a cigar to a service friend in Germany, but I not allowed to ship it to an APO address. I was hoping to send it to a private address and he could pick it up....

Who outside of the business world would know how bad the supply chain is right now....

OK, good news! I no sooner posted the above reply when I got an email from kev telling me that the center console was scheduled to be delivered to my home today. He had been busy and forgot to send out my tracking number.

As for the top.... Well, he asked me to be patient for a bit longer. It is possible that the top might actually ship at the end of next week. There was a powdercoating issue that had to be resolved.

It seems you folks may be right about Kevin after all. Decent guy just too busy!

I get the Covid delays and I know he can’t do anything about that. And, I have been patient. Don’t forget this is going on for nearly 4 months now.

kev has offered to refund my money or give me a large discount off what I paid. I opted to keep my order in and take a store discount instead. But even then, the center console I ordered on June 17 hasn’t shipped yet...no explanation. Even worse, I’m seeing people I know order SS goodies from another vendor and their stuff arrives in a timely manner.

Very frustrating. I’ll be patient a little longer...

Good to hear, but i have been sitting patiently since March.... Patience is wearing thin. In a show of good faith, I ordered a center console from him on June 17th and as of today, no shipping notice, no email that it’s been delayed, nothing. So, no top, no center console, no communication from Kevin to my last 4 emails....

I guess I’ll wait till August 1st and see if things get shipped. If not,.....well I’ll decide then.

Nice to know I’m not being scammed, but right now I’m not a happy customer either.

Does anyone personally know anything about recent business at Allthingsslingshot.com???

I’m having a problem getting a top that I ordered and paid for on March 23, 2020.

After waiting four weeks, and hearing nothing, I emailed them several times before I got a response from Kevin. He blamed the delay on subcontractors that closed because of the Covid crisis. He asked he to be patient. I understood, he can’t control Covid issues...

A few weeks later he said production was starting again and my order would be done soon. I waited patiently again.

In June he said my top would ship next, the backlog was almost cleared. I waited patiently...

After writing to him last week, he said he had a meeting with the upholstery people and would have news for me by the end of the day. That was last Wednesday. No email from him. On Thursday evening, I wrote to him and received a response on Friday saying he had a meeting with production and would have news for me by the end of the day. Since that was Friday, I knew he was just blowing me off for the weekend. But, I waited patiently...

It is now the end of Monday, July 13 and still no response. I just finished emailing him again, and I’m starting to lose my patience. So here I am...

Is ALLTHINGSSLINGSHOT.COM legit? Is this guy Kevin a master scammer? He always seems to have an excuse (legit sounding excuses) as to why he has my money and I have no product since MARCH.

Should I contact the consumer affairs section of the Michigan Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau to ask for an investigation/intervention?

Looking for input before I lose patience and start making pissed consumer phone calls.

Any idea how many SS owners will be there in August?

As much as my wife and I would like to meet other owners, we are thinking of cancelling. We live close enough that we can ride that area anytime. It was the rest of the agenda that enticed us to register for the event.

No parade???? Let’s see.... I was in a huge line of traffic last weekend. No one banned stop and go traffic.... I don’t think I can catch Covid while driving in a line of Slings. I guess we could rename the parade a protest and then it would be ok...

Stupid NC governor...

I bought the ZSW wheel disks and they are well made. But, they could use more holes for cable ties to hold the lights on. I drilled about 6 more on each disk then mounted them.

Did you check the ground from the battery? Had you done any work to the Sling just prior to this issue? If so, could you have disturbed the starting system?

I am also in the group that is not afraid of this virus. It’s not the first one I’ve faced and probably won’t be the last.

I can’t wait to see what happens next flu season. Will the country be shut down again?

, I don’t believe the governor of NC has the legal authority to issue such an order. Second, I believe the U.S. Constitution takes precedence and I can’t wait for the litigation to start in this regard.

My mother was an infectious control nurse and taught is to protect ourselves from germs starting when we were little kids.

I agree with Edward Neal. Take reasonable personal precautions, think of others and stay home if you are sick.

Next flu season, I vote to keep the country open!!!

My wife and I are heading to Maggie Valley on the 28th and will spend 4 days riding roads in the area.

No helmet required in NC. I keep a copy of the law with me just in case, but haven’t been pulled over yet...

I have to wonder how someone who is scared to drive w/o helmet in the SS isn’t scared to drive without airbags.....
