I worked around 5 years with six 4 foot bi pin fixtures in the play room 26 x 36 never enough light and that was why I went with the eight 8 foot single pin fixtures

How many fixtures are you using in the garage? Two might be good if you only park in it.

I have two fixtures; one hangs over my sling and the other over my wife's dog grooming table. When they're both on, they light up my 3-car garage like the mid-day sun.

Why???????????????? There are lots of them out on the market. Every body worries about locking everything up tight. I've never locked the glove box or the back storage space. I generally take the keys out of mine if I'm not in my home area.

I do carry a second gas cap in the storage area...have lost a couple of those.

Granted, I've never had a locking gas cap on any vehicle I've owned, they were all behind a locked hatch, but most, if not all of the motorcycles I've owned have them. I'm not saying people are bad, but there are bad apples everywhere and it would give me a little piece of mind knowing that an idiot wouldn't be able to easily put something I don't want in my gas tank. That's all.

I have a 24x28 by 10 high ceiling garage. I'm having a hard time figuring out what lighting I need to put in there so it's bright enough for me to work on the sling or any other vehicle. Any experts out there?

This, my friend, will solve all your problems. Bought them at Home Depot and had them professionally installed. Those are the brightest LED lights Home Depot sells. Absolutely worth the money.

ya i changed the vent on my hood recently to let the turbo breath some:00008040:

Oh, you're the one that did that. You're thread was one of the first ones I saw after joining the forum and I thought, Wow! I would never have the nerve to take on such a radical mod. It's truly unique, I'll give you that. Is it finished or is there more? Looking forward to seeing the end result.

EjFord dont mind Ej he is a party pooper! Go and spend it :00008040:its very easy to do but in all seriousness EJ is right. Look at others that have done things and get some ideas from others and buy when you feel right. Many have bought mods and removed them soon after as it wasnt all they thought. Shocks are a good upgrade for sure

They say you shouldn't do anything to a new house until you've lived in it for a year. I believe the same can be said for my Slingshot. I'll drive it for some time before I begin upgrading anything. So far, the only things on my list are what I believe are functional upgrades, speaking only for myself of course. When the stock tires are bald, I'll likely replace them with something a little taller and softer. If the stock shocks ever go bad, they'll be upgraded with fully adjustable. I just ordered a vented hood insert because I believe it's important to keep that motor as cool as I can and a more free-flowing air filter is in the works so it can breathe. Other than that, the caliper covers are the only thing I've bought that I probably didn't need, I just thought they looked cool as hell... lol 😊

Lots of neat things can be done to these great machines..... Get lots of seat time in before going to crazy with the mods.... JEALOUS = $$$,$$$.$$ real fast.

Thanks Ej, I know the feeling. It's easy to get wrapped up in all the videos you see on YouTube of customized Slingshots, but I have learned to take deep breaths, remain calm, and exercise fiscal responsibility... Just kidding, my wife took my credit card away from me... lol 🤣

Thanks everyone. I've pretty much crossed Harbor Freight off my list and like Wingshot said, the good ones ain't cheap. I believe also that a used good one is the way to go and told my wife last night that if it's meant to be, the right one will find me... 😊

The small HF trailer (https://www.harborfreight.com/…tility-trailer-62645.html) is a good size for mounting a large luggage carrier normally used on a car/SUV roof.

I didn't see any small trailers on TS that I thought would work behind the Slingshot, but I did find several small trailer on Northern Tool.

    Steel frame - https://www.northerntool.com/s…oduct_200612543_200612543.

    Aluminum frame - https://www.northerntool.com/s…oduct_200660342_200660342.

Steel frame with luggage carrier - https://www.northerntool.com/s…oduct_200692633_200692633.

Really like the one from northerntool that has the container on it already. It looks perfect. Thanks!

I bought one of HF's 4ft x 8ft folding trailers for use as my first motorcycle/general purpose trailer and used it for 4 years before replacing it with a trailer from Tractor Supply. When I first purchased the HF trailer, I replaced the bearing cover with a spring-loaded cap that allows extra grease to be injected into the bearing, with the spring hopefully maintaining pressure to keep grease in the bearings. https://www.harborfreight.com/…tectors-1-pair-97166.html. Don't know if they really made a difference, but the spring-loaded caps provided some peace-of-mind. I replaced the HF trailer because I wanted a slightly larger trailer and I had to replace one of the folding frame pieces on the HF trailer that had rusted through. When I went to order replacements for both sides, I was only able to get the one I needed, but the one I wanted as a spare for the other side wasn't available. I don't remember if it was just out of stock or no longer available. I never did anything to the HF trailer frame to provide additional rust protection, so it might be a good idea to give it some additional rust protection before bolting everything together.

Overall, I was satisfied with the HF trailer. I'd recommend waiting until you can find a 30% or 20% off any item coupon and the trailer isn't on sale.

Thanks, there's a Tractor Supply only a few miles from me that I hadn't thought of. I'll certainly give them a look.

Just curious what everyone's opinion is on those small Harbor Freight trailers and wondered if anyone has ever built a small luggage trailer and pulled it behind their Slingshot when traveling? I'd love to hear from someone with experience with this before I decide. I searched for an existing thread and was surprised to not find one. Thanks in advance.
