Ok buddy!! I assumed they were little steel plates!! It may not be a perfect match but it will do because Im not that picky!! What will I owe ya for the purple badges brother? Black words would be fine behind the purple or grey to match the '15 faster grey models! tongue-squared

What about silver letters that would really pop. Well and be very readable. Black might blend in too well.

@Slingshot Garage Can you send me some blank badges in stainless steel? I will then powdercoat them purple and send them back to you for etching!! I pay extra if ya dont mind!

The ecu emblems are laminate plastic. I can get stainless steel. Or I have a cnc shop that can prob cut them out.
As an alternative I do have some purple mirror acrylic. I can engrave from the back and paint pretty much any color u want for the letters. Would be a cheaper and faster alternative. Figured I'd throw that out there anyways. I'll attach a few pics. And one of a chrome mirror piece that was engraved and back painted. Pics don't do the purple justice hard to get a good pic.

I need to order some ecu badges also! Can @Slingshot Garage pm what I need to do to buy some. I'm not internet savay to order things online. By the way I'm 36 just never trusted the online payment. Thank god for @Painter or I never would be able to get parts for my sling! My wife can do PayPal just need to know how sorry!

Read the above post it pretty much explains it all. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
    Thanks

Well I'm a big believer of Paying it forward. And if good things happen to you. It's probably because your a good person. Its that treat others as you would want to be treated thing. Well and in this case it was a simple gesture on your part. You sent me a friend request a while back on the forum. And we're the first person to do so. It made me smile and made my day at the same time. So when Rob approached me about the ecu emblems I thought perfect. Here's a chance to send a token of my appreciation. So thank you @Goats_Hogs I'm glad you like them

I looked up where he lives from me to hope it was Ontario but 27 hrs from me can't quite make it that far. I hope he has a great turnout. I enjoyed reading his story of going to Alpha when I was deciding if I was going to buy one or not.

Wow thank you so much that really warms my heart. That I may have influenced someone's buying decision with something I wrote on the Internet. That's cool  . You just never know who is reading what you post and how far that it may reach.
I hope at some point we get to meet. If not at my event at one somewhere south.

They are HORRENDOUSLY expensive. If someone like, say, @Ruptured Duck were to develop an attractive lens guard for the center lights, that just might be a big seller... :whistling:
For the outside, @Slingshot Garage Slinglenz will protect the lights...

Someone had asked me if I was going to do that early on. Attachment was the issue. I don't have a us spec slingshot either. So hard to prototype. The biggest issue I thought was how to open the hood. The lens would block the hood release. Some sort of deflector toward the front might be a better idea.

@allison @rabtech, thank you both for the wealth of information and knowledge this forum has brought me since I bought my Sling. But more importantly the sense of family and caring. I don't do the face bookey thing but my wife does and she still keeps in touch from people we met last year at the Rockies event. Without this forum we never would have met two of the most down to earth genuine people, @SundreSlingQueen @Slingshot Garage. You two are great and we're looking forward to make sure and stop by on our way down to Rockies event.I hope to be able to meet many more cool people at the Rockies event this year.
Thank you all, and if your ever around Alberta Canada area, you have a welcome place to stay and a cold drink waiting.

    Thanks, Rex & Jane

Thanks Rex  Look forward to visiting some more with you and Jane.

One year ago today Izak and I embarked on our epic journey. Our lives haven't been the same since. Such a great adventure and to be able to share a little of out lives with you was awesome. Made a ton of friends that will last a lifetime I'm sure. Really we couldn't have done it without your support. So many of you were rooting for us how could we fail. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Well and makes me want to plan another Crazy Canuck adventure. It's so much easier when you know people have your back.
Thank you all for everything
Much love to my slingshot family

I have learned a few things watching other events. It seems like there's so much event to take in. Well and people are saying man I wish we just had a few more hours to visit people because that was awesome. We will definitely have time to sit around the campfire and get to know each other better. Don't get me wrong tho were going to have a blast.
