Is that true? Something I read said that can be totally opposite. Black and white or red and white.

    Cam,

Now for residential wiring Black is hot, white is neutral, and green (bare copper) is ground. For low voltage systems generally red is positive voltage and black is ground. Now for automobiles and complex systems throw that whole idea out the window. If you look through the harness in your Slingshot you will see dozens of colored wires. Best bet is to get the user's manual. There are full schematics that show what each color wire is. Unless you are good with a Multi-meter this will be a life saver.

Holy Shnizzle Ma Dizzles!! I called got a price of $2100-$2K for the Lexani rims I like from 2 other shops. Just got off phone with Dubs & Tires (.com) and there $1500!! 22 all around, big fatty on back, balanced, shipped! No brainer!! now I gotta wait a week & 1/2

They got you hooked up on sizes and offsets? Post pics when you get them mounted up.

Well, the 22" rim and tire weighs more than the factory 18" set up. Rotational weight makes a huge difference. Every pound added to rear helps in getting the balance more even. No doubt that two more inches of tire making contact helps and it is a much softer compound.

Extra weight? The compressor? Air Tank?

Compressor, air tank, and quad valve. The air tank is a custom made unit made out of aluminum. So, not a ton of weight. The compressor and valves weigh the most and are at the very tip of the tail. There is actually a lot of open space under the fin.

Yes, 22". With the new rear tire and extra weight directly over the rear I'm not having many issues with traction for now....

@WraithSS, can you show a picture of your wheels and tires, especially the rear (from the side and from the rear). Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Let me see if I can find one from the rear...Please forgive the falling side wall letters. Was just test fitting them.

Rab's thread is a little daunting for the beginner. I would say basic basic basic

You got it brother. I'll get started on that here and finish when I get back and can add pictures.

If anyone else has any DIYs or wants to make one please add it and maybe we can convince Rabtech in to making them a sticky?

How about led lighting install? Maybe a halo install. I know several people have asked about swapping to hid or led headlights.

I would say CAI install, regular oil change, right angle drive oil removal and filling.

Here's a big one! Belt tensioning.

This is perfect Cam! Now for the lighting additions are you looking for a DIY following the instructions provided with the equipment or a more waterproof installation? Rabtech's LED install is a wealth of information as well.

There are a lot of 20/22 packages, but I like the big look of 22's up front..

Was working with Roaring Toys on my 20/22 package until they informed of the brand/style of tires. Reviews for Delente on passenger cars are OK, but on performance vehicles they are bad.
I found the rims they were selling elsewhere and searched for tires that fit better and were a performance type. Had a local shop mount and balance them. Cost me only $110 dollars more than what RR was asking, but I got Pirelli P Zero GT tires in 275/30/20 fronts and a 315/25/22 rear.

Post up if there is a particular DIY you need and I'm sure someone here has a wealth of knowledge in the installation process.

Working on the following DIYs: Double DIN splash-guard, Custom front grill, Air Suspension, Big Brake kit w/dual rear calipers
