Do you find these more comfortable? Stylish? Or safer? Just trying to understand this mod. At least I wouldn't reach to the wrong side to put it on... every single time.
T
When pushing the Slingshot to the limit the harnesses are more comfortable. They hold you in place and make you feel like your are part of the vehicle and not being thrown around by it. They are safer in certain circumstances. However, they do make it hard to check your surroundings since you can't lean forward.

Schroth and Takata both have 4 point harnesses that have anti-submarine devices in the shoulder strap. It is a pretty cool set up.

Yup, I'm running the Schroth harnesses as well. But, have Corbeau pads on them so they match the seats. Silver wasn't an option for the model I picked up, so I got the black ones. The silver looks awesome Mitch!

That deal just gets better and better! Must.....keep......wallet....in......pocket......

I think Macaws was referring to post number. You level up by the amount of posts.

It's an expensive GoPro mount. Hahahaha
You should have Madstad list that as another perk of the top....they can charge more for it even. LOL
-
Those are slick freaking pictures!
Your Stinger top looks good without the canopies and that Rose Madstad....

Bill,
That is one one heck of a deal! Making me want to throw that supercharger money at you. Good luck with your sale sir.

The way the seat is made it looks like it will be fine. The belts taper outward when they are bolted to the roll hoops. I agree that they would be better with the bar from Bert's. It would get the belts higher. But the main thing I think is the factory belt sucks. And the harneses are much better.
Fully agree. Since the upper portion of our seats are so narrow the harnesses almost stay vertical. If they were standard automobile width and pushed them out further then it may cause an issue.

That puts me out - I like my little wheels guess at some point I will go with Henry's set up.
Henry's kit is slick. Would be my second choice easily.

I'm all ears, would love a brake upgrade!
This kit is BIG, so a minimum of 20" wheels. Fronts are 15" rotors with Wilwood Aero calipers. The rear will have a 15" rotor and dual 4 piston calipers. One for regular braking duty and one for e-brake.

We just missed you - would like to see the suspension also.
Hey Rock you embarrassed me into getting those hood pistons installed and finally working. Still need to tweak the hood a bit.It was built out of necessity as I got tired of scraping the front end going in and out of my driveway. Also I'm not a fan of hydraulics, every install I have done or seen at some point will leak and it is a mess. Plus the cost, ouch, this set up cost half of the hydraulic kit. I'll have it all dialed in the next time you see me.

Jon, I really hated that you weren't able to be there. I really wanted to see your air ride creation get put through it's paces....
We'll get it next time!!
I'm very jealous after seeing all the videos and pictures. Looks like the fam got to have a great time. I cannot wait for the next track/wrench/ride day to catch up with everyone. Will be fine tuning the suspension as I want it as close to perfect as possible before I shoot up a DIY. It will have websites and part numbers for anyone that wants to install it themselves and not pay the crazy mark-up prices. Also have a brake kit in the making that may be a bit overboard. LOL

Will be home on Sunday brother. I'll have most of next week off and will be cranking on mods to Wraith. I mentioned fishing to Aidan and he is VERY excited to try it. Thanks again!

Here is an installation PDF from Schroth. They do make a 4-point DOT approved harness with an anti-submarine device. @MACAWS and I are running them. If you look at page 2 there is a warning on what type of seats should and shouldn't have a harness. It's a good read and they are a top notch quality product. It also covers proper installation methods for a racing harness. I've used the Bert's harness bars to ease installation.

Cam,
Thanks for posting the higher elevation video. Brought back some good memories when I realized they had you running on the same track that I did agent training on. The little circle track you flew over has sprinklers all around it and they spray them on the asphalt. The instructor controls the gas and all you have is the wheel to control the vehicle in a drift. Soooo much fun.

Nice! Once you got the Tanom's out of the way looks like you got to open up a bit. Thanks again everyone for posting pics and videos for me to drool over. Now I'm really itching to get home.
