My mom took the Grasshopper for a spin around the block the last time she visited us, she was 86..............................

But...but...does she have two replaced knees and a replaced hip???

Does that mean she is open to an automatic transmission? Now she could keep taps on the son-in-law. Oh-no!
Assuming she could even get in and out of the thing. She's 84 after all!
Or consider my mother-in-law, with two bionic knees and a replaced hip. She's too elderly now for an SS but simply cannot drive a manual.
Do you need tickets to attend the Polaris event?
Yes. I paid $100 plus a service fee of $8 more. Looking forward to meeting other attendees.
Just swapped out my stock ECU for one flashed by Kyle @ ZZPerformance. Not a HUGE difference, but enough subtle ones that I’m pleased: rock-solid idle @ 1K RPMs, a smoother-sounding engine, noticeable performance gains (I can now break traction in 3rd gear, even with my Bridgestone 295 RE-71 in the back!), and a bit more growlier exhaust note.
Will be monitoring MPGs to see if anything changes and will report back.
About 60 degrees in sunny Northern California after what seems like an eternity of rain. So got the cover off, dried up some wet spots, and did my usual tour of Crystal Springs Reservoir. Woo hoo! Back in the saddle again! P.S. Not runnin' through any deep standing water, tho.
"will kill their 2929 model year sales."
I won't be around for THAT product launch!
I had two dealers within 30 miles. The one in San Jose got its "license" to sell Slings got pulled so now I'm forced to go to Livermore. If that one shuts down it'll be two hours north to Elk Grove. Bleah.
You will NOT regret a purchase, assuming what you end up with is either a) under warranty or b) has had all recall work done and is functioning well. I bought my 2016 SE with about 10,500 miles and except for a dead battery, it's run like a top ever since (2k miles). Best of luck!
If I use miles and stay somewhere affordable, I think I can make it work!
UPDATE: Ticket ordered. Airline booked. Hotel reserved. Anyone going, I hope to see you there!
Can't remember the details but I saw a YouTube video where the SS stopped nearly 20 feet shorter from 60 mph than stock brakes. I replaced my pads with Hawk 5.0 and can attest to the difference -- better modulation, faster bite, and just what feels like more control. YMMV.
I replaced the stock 9s in the back with 11s. The only thing I needed were hub adapters (to eliminate empty space) and a 5 mm spacer in the back (so brakes would fit).
Agree with Shane850, had the same problem, same fix (lots of electrical tape).
Need a subscription to load video, sorry.
Looks like the bicycle tool I always carry in my saddle bag.
I've had great luck with distilled (NOT tap) water and a fairly stiff wire brush.
Here's mine:
Rocky Cat...looks sweet but is a 15-pound bruiser...
Roofs are for wimps! (Says the NorCal man where it's rarely hotter than 90 or colder than 50; rains only periodically; and whose Sling lives under a cover during inclement weather.)
