Just picked it back up from the indy -- DDM handling kit & sway bar mounts, Twisty sway bar. Had an appointment so couldn't drive it for an extended period but it actually feels more comfortable and compliant, especially the front end. I found out the hard way what a mere 3/4" drop can do, scraping the front end leaving the shop. Gotta be extra careful going forward!

Ok - Sorry but gotta brag! This was just an awesome day! 78 Degrees in the valley and 68 in the high desert. From Mt Palomar at 6K feet to Borrego Canyon floor. Ok here we go.....
Sooo jealous! When my wife and I lived in SD we toured, hiked through, and camped in many, many miles of the Anza Borrego Desert.
On another note: The new suspension parts on DATSling are installed! Supposed to be 67-68 here, so after my credit card takes a beating I'm off on a long ride.
-DDM Handling Kit
-DDM sway bar mounting brackets
-Twist Dynamics sway bar
Riding on my sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE71Rs. Can't wait and will report back tomorrow!

Unfortunately, nowhere. DATSling is in the shop for a new sway bar and DDM's performance handling kit. Will report back once installed.

not much choice when the Sling is my daily driver - - rain or shine my slingshot is it
Says the guy who lives in a desert!

My son and I do have big plans to take it to baseball practice while he's at work
You start with baseball practice, and the next thing you know you'll be heading out for a cross-country trip to Cali.
-
So, a question, Now that the new Slingshots will have a engine and transmission that are not made by a car manufacture and have never been used in a car is it more of a "motorcycle" than previous slingshots
8500 redline? You betcha!

I seem to recall a this little document called the First Amendment. Sitting here about 25 miles north of Levi's my buddies and I are all rooting fervently for the Niners. Go SF!

The brush isn't as important as the water -- DISTILLED ONLY

Are they staying with the Kenda tires on the new models?
Website says yes. My up-close-and-personal agrees.

I just talked with Daniel at Mancuso in Houston and he confirmed the cockpit is 3 inches longer than the 2019 model.

Definitely felt roomier. Top notch materials and design.

Welcome! Best advice I have for you... Buy the color and lowest model you like. Then outfit it with aftermarket parts. All too often I am swapping out factory upgrades for aftermarket and the slightly used factory parts pile up in my garage and I can't give them away fast enough.
Be prepared for your wallet to cry!
With the two engine tunes and differing HP/torque specs, I'd definitely go with the R.

I was in Vegas for the new-model launch and my overall takeaway is that the new machine is WAAAAAAY more refined than Gen. 1, and the higher redline should help more drivers feel as though they're on an actual two-wheeler. For example, if you know me I place a very high premium on cockpits -- I'm probably into mine for $500 or more -- and I wouldn't change one single thing about Gen 2's. The higher redline and extra zip of the R engine would be welcome too.

My wife is jonesing for a Hellcat with the 13-round magazine.......

We only get 91O here in Cali, runs great with my new ZZPerformance tune.

The more I hear about the new model the more I like it. Perhaps if I were to walk into a showroom at years end and run into a good deal on the 203 hp manual transmission model I could see myself getting into trouble .
I'm with ya Frankie boy!

I had the good fortune of attending and my ultimate takeaway is that the fit & finish and modern tech were very appealing. Would definitely want the "R" model with 200+hp and 5-speed manual.

Not a very big crowd for the reveal
I'd say 200-250, but Drais' nightclub is a big spread-out place.

and why in the hell would they not include the grand touring with the new LEDs? Makes no sense. In other notes it looks like those front LEDs could be easily retrofitted 🤓
Grand Touring is a 2019 with the previous GM Eco' engine.

Beautiful! If I weren't under my wife's prohibition (no two-wheelers till my youngest is in college -- he's 15) I'd ask how much.

No you do not need to pay The $100. Go to the Polaris websight, click on the BACKSTAGE PASS they are free. I assume they still have them. Sorry, I don't know to attach a link.

Did not see any link to "Backstage Pass." And exploring the event further, I came across this from the Polaris website:
"Sales have ended online
This event is no longer available online."
