I got three latches to lock and release. The one by the passenger side right in front of the window will not lock. If I lock it manually it works and releases with pushing down on the wire, but when I close down the hood that latch doesn't lock at all. HELPPPPPPPPPPPP

You want to make the latch adjustments and get them set with the hood open. You can lock the latches by pushing the black finger closed. Red arrow..
Yellow circles are the adjustment nuts to shorten it lengthen the cables to make them open together.
Depending on which side of the SS you’re on.....one cable goes to the main release lever and the other cable goes to the rear latch.
Make sure your cable ends are in the correct holes beside number 3.
So how do you know when the cables are adjusted correctly. Do you adjust the cable towards the rear first or the one for the front. Cause I tried the front first but the the rear doesn't unlatch. Any tips would be appreciated or is this adjustment a trial and error deal?

Well I got the hood open and had to adjust the release wires but the gnats and the heat got the better pert of me so I quit for today. Those latches are a pain in the ass to adjust
-
Does anyone know how to unlatch the hood that won't unlatch when I press down on the release latch. Also what could have caused this since I have never had an issue before. TIA

Prayers are powerful medicine, mate!
They certainly are

My question is if you use the said points to lift the SS then where do you place JACK STANDS to be able to remove the jack and have the whole SS in the air for any or all types of underneath work.
-
As discussed so many times already here, when considering how light on it's feet the SlingShot is, I believe that first off, the more potential for standing water, the more one should slow down, (common sense?), Second is to be very cautious of those first rains after a long dry spell, (common sense?), Third is to purchase tires that are recognized for their water channeling ability, (common sense where we currently are operating https://www.bfgoodrichtires.co…odrich/g-force-comp-2-a-s), and fourth, if you are still really spooked, just park the SlingShot when ol Ma Nature gets weepy, (common sense?) ....................
(I believe that there is a common element running through this post?)
With all of that said, I too once found myself holding on while the Grasshopper started sashaying and dancing down the Interstate when I suddenly hit a young river crossing the road, sometimes s%@$ will just happen!
Bill
You forgot to sy (Common Sense) on that last paragraph hahahaha

Just an FYI...I certainly didn't post my issue to take away from Rob. Just wanted him to know that he is not alone in this fight. We all stand together. Prayers to Rob. Stay positive and lots of Faith. The Man upstairs knows what He is doing.

I installed my new PRP seats yesterday. Wow what a Job. I would sure like to know who designed the mounting for the passenger seat. Ever who it was must have had his head his head up his Ass. Not only is it very hard to get to mine was a different size and about 2in long. it took longer to take out and re install than the entire job.
So how did you finally manage to get the bolt that is blocked by the hard plastic on the bottom right of the passenger side. I gave up trying on mine.
-
That bolt is the hardest part of removing the seat. I normally use an open end 5/8 wrench or a 5/8 socket 1/4 drive with a 3/8 adapter and ratchet. A little hot water on the plastic makes it more pliable.
So where do the new brackets install at. Any pics

Awesome Idea on heating the plastic. Thank you

You can use spacers, cut the plastic or smash it with the bracket. I've done all three installing.
Will these work for a 2018 SL and if they do how in the world do I remove the bolt on the rear right side of the passenger seat, the bolt that goes in horizontal to the seat and that it's blocked by the hard plastic from the floor.

Lesson I learned several years ago NEVER run in the rain with cruse control on....lost a beautiful 2004 Town Car.... walked away but car not so lucky.
I learned that pretty quick too yesterday
-
Pulling out at the light by the time I reached 45mph I came across a puddle and hydro planed. Thanking God I was able to maintain control by turning the steering wheel the opposite way. Folks please be careful when driving in the rain especially at night when you can't see the puddles.

well I got my first GoPro yesterday so I am trying to learn how make some videos. Shot in its full resolution on the ride to work this morning and when I looked at what it recorded it had cut it into t "chapters" didnt know that it would do this, but apparently its normal. So the first thing I had to figure out was how to put the two parts back into one. After I figured that out I decided I needed to learn how to use youtube. Actually very easy, but the first time up it restricted my video because some of the music on my radio was recognized as copyrighted - so then I learned how to have it remove those parts - Any this is my first shot at a video - my ride to work lousy sound, but its a start
next time I wile drop the resolution to 1080P I think it will look better for sharing with the normal HD format - also need to learn how to replace the sound with some music, but something not copyrighted - youtube has music, but I think I would rather pick my own
anyway - I am doing this on a mac so if any of you have any helpful hints or suggestions please help a video newbie
What do you mean that it cut it into chapters and how did you work around that. How long was each chapter
