    Just before i got my 18 S/S I lost 25 pounds, So i don't think i have to 86th any parts off my S/S...
As far as changing the appearance of the S/S....Still looks looks the same.... But i look ,

    ''FABULOUS''....

Don't forget the road apples left behind by all those damn Amish buggies...……..No emission control regs on the horses asses in PA yet and speaking of PA and wet roads...….PennDOT in its infinite wisdom last fall I think it was put some kind of coating on I-80 from the Limestoneville/Milton exit to the Rt 15 exit and then discovered when it got wet it got slippery hell my 18 wheeler would break loose just riding along...……….they even put temp signs up slippery when wet next 5 miles or whatever it is...…...Now they are milling it up and repaving after numerous accidents on that stretch of road...…..I would drive out of my way with the Slingshot just to avoid that stretch of road...…...nothing like making it even more interesting

Guess Penn Dot never learns....Many years ago they paved stretches of Rt 6 with some kind of pink/purple asphalt , And it was like goose sh*t when wet, And after it wore down a little it was like glass... Slippery like wet cobblestones......

The Shop-rite grocery store near me has next to the handicap spots .Spaces reserved for pregnant women ....Not a legal no parking spot mind you , After i parked there, This old lady walks by and says ''YOU DON'T LOOK PREGNANT''....I just looked her in the eye and said, No but i identify as pregnant.... :) ...
    That shut her up...

I though when anyone registered a Slingshot, You automatically received a Handicap plate...? ;)

My 2018 S that is only 4 months old has a battery that won't start the motor. I called dealer this morning and ask if I could bring battery in and let them test it. They said yes and it only has a 30 day warranty. I called Polaris and got bounced around to 4 different departments and no one could give me an answer about warranty. I asked about Sling vehicle warranty and got one answer 1 year and another that it is 2 year. Having bought a 2011 and a 2014 Polaris Victory Motorcycle I should know by now about Polaris and their warranties.

I'm switching over to a Optima.

Don't know about the battery But the Slingshot warrantee is two years from date of purchase...
The battery might be coved by the battery manufactures warrantee..

I have the Slingshade and windshield [Ripper ?]....And stock exhaust and haven't had any fumes or vacuum problems ..And driving in the rain most of 'The rain gos up over the roof....Some will ride up the shield and just drop down on the dash, And keeping me relatively dry.. Did 90 miles in moderate rain last Saturday ..

Batteries are mysterious black boxes.......Some will last 8 years 'Some will last 6 months, You pay your money and you take your chances....The main thing to remember is no matter what the battery guy tells you....When you buy a new one is to Fully charge it yourself Before you put it in service ....

I've driven in the rain quite often, I haven't [so far] Hydroplaned . But with the stock tires the rear does get squirrelly.....I has a Spyder did the same, Nature of the beasts... My Tri-Glide on the other hand with two rear M/S tires would plow though 3 inches or less of snow without any problems...

Last night with help from my son we installed the rear fender ,air foil and light strip that i bought from SlingMods..
Looks great everything works great....But they do leave out a few problems that we encountered in the instal video .
Like when you bolt the 3 bottom bolts you have to somehow find the blind holes that they go into and that took the longest and most frustrating part of the job....They also show the tinnerman clips sliding right in, Nope if you don't bend them open they aren't sliding in...Other than that after 3+ hours it looks like its a factory piece and buttons up the naked rear tire look...

Once again....please do not just state your UNFOUNDED and totally BASELESS opinions as facts.
Legal until a judge says otherwise, after almost 2 years of them being on the streets and one even crashing on a police supervised street race not one quad has gotten(that we know) a ticket due to having 4 wheel.

They might not be your cup of tea but please refrain from starting this BS about them not being legal to be registered.

With 4 wheels it losses its motorcycle designation, And will have to conform to all federal automobile regulations....

    Maybe Apples to Oranges here...But..
I would think Polaris would be developing their own engine for the S/S...
Don't think they wan't to end up like the Stallion, They were sourcing engines from Ford.. The Rangers 4 cylinder...Then when the ranger was discontinued The Stallion went out of production..

I also received the seatbelt recall notice....For me its an non issue i rode motorcycles for over 50 years and never once did i have a seatbelt issue that cause me problems.,As a matter of fact i couldn't find the seatbelt on any of my bikes,.. ....So i'll just ignore it till i' If i have to bring it in for some other warrteny work..

According to some here if you ride in the rain you may be killed. I've rode in the rain several times and only been killed once so I'm figuring they could be partly wrong. have a nice ride.

I was out in the poring rain yesterday , And a truck driver never even seen me in my S/S and blew a stop sign right in front of me and all i could do was hit my brakes and listen to my antilock brakes clacking away' Close is not the word..I almost T boned him...Let me tell you that experience Scared me Half to death....
Hope it doesn't happen again..... :whistling:
