Smoking an issue or just burn in?
I just bought some convex mirrors from Autozone. They are moveable once attached so I generally try to push them out a far as possible while keeping the main mirror set where I can just see the side of the SS. At less than $8, they are a lot cheaper than the SlingMods ones.
Yeah, debated, and truthfully forgot to buy at the same time. Got a cover for it tho'.
Got the ECM back today. Went and rechecked every single bolt/screw/fitting again. Did the 2 fake starts without the injectors plugged in. Rechecked for leaks. Plugged in the injector and it started right up! Let it run for only about 30 seconds then rechecked for leaking with a flashlight. Started a 2nd time and let it run for about 2 mins while I re-re-rechecked everything again. Noticed a little bit of smoking coming from the Turbo area, but couldn't pinpoint the exact source.
Can anyone verify if I have the coolant hoses in the right configuration?
Got the turbo installed. Just waiting for ECM to arrive back on Monday.

Ok, back to the original question:
I've had the Cipher seats. Comfortable but were cracking in just a couple months. Cannot recommend.
PRP seats are great. You can design them with whatever colors and materials you want. But you pay for them.
Some of the later years stock SLR seats are nice -if you can find anyone getting rid of them.
My current seats are the Twist Dynamics - and I'm very happy. Comfortable and not too expensive. They are the one seats I would buy again if needed.
But, as others have said, go to a show and try different seats. Many folks will probably let you sit in them to try.

I think that you have already heard me say the problem with the Chev. Trans also.
The 4L60E trans that was in most of the mid-200# to 201# Chevy Truck/Suburban/Avalanche was a good trans. It was just known to have a short life (~150K miles). But because there were so many of them that they were cheap to fix (like Volkswagons).
The new 8 speed in my 2015 Chevy with the 6.2 does suck though. Had the TC replaced at 40K miles already.
To do list or notches in the bedpost?
Yes.
Well 3GunSteve they look nice but won't work. ...
Actually, they do still work if bought yourself. Just the magic is doubled if given by a friend as their good luck becomes yours too. If stolen, all the troubles are heaped on the new person.
We're 40° down in just 24 hrs already in Austin.
Put on a gremlin bell for a little extra insurance.😉
Put it down a little lower. It's supposed to be the lowest point not touching the ground to trap all of them.
I really expected something more like this from you Tripod
I met Jennifer Anniston a couple years ago. Without being all done up (she was dressed in sweats, no make up, hair not straightened), she just looks like a normal person - you wouldn't even recognize her. But she's still on my List of 5.
That's what it's supposed to do. But also, I've seen some very low to no-cost things on here too that I really liked and have copied.
Should we talk about Austin?
Me and my big f'n mouth! F' me!
Yesterday: Set a record for high temp:
Today: We already had a thunderstorm and a hail storm (pea size) just a few minutes ago:
Next week: They're calling for possible snow on Weds/Thurs:

Yeah, I've done the same in 50-60 degrees in the garage. Clean really well. Alcohol (wipes, not drink, although . . . . ), then heat gun on the surface just to warm it up to touch temp (don't burn it, keep the heat gun moving at all times). Then stick on the strips. Don't heat the LEDs themselves.
Then what was the "adhesion promoter" I used? Just bought from the local Autozone. Came in a spray can, don't remember the name. I think it was this:
I tried sticking some decals to the lower portion right to the side of the side of the seat (to the left of your circle in the above photo, mine is unpainted) but couldn't get them to stick either. I even used alcohol and adhesion promoter.
