Hey peeps!
How much are you paying for insurance for this thing? Mine is sky-high for a 48yr old male with full coverage.
$166/month
Got an Allstate policy at $64/month. Much much better than the Farmer's contractors!
Give Dan in Texas a call....he can write in lots of different states...

Brought Georgia home from rehab yesterday....so needed to be home
today.
@Ross did you see a plane wreck coming???????????? This group can derail just about any thread.
I took lessons 4 yrs ago and it was $350 hr plane and fuel. Didnt take long to invest a few thousand
I have over 60 hours and had everything done except the final flight test---ran out of time and money...than it was wife and kids....Today that looks like $21,000.00
@sideslinger wants to take flying lessons... all she watches on YouTube these days are planes/flying videos.
*LOL, and this is just another reason I’ll never be able to retire...
Don't what you to think I'm OLD, but when I was taking lessons --- I could buy blocks of time (10 hour block) for $8.00 an hour---included gas. Today the gas for the plane is probably much more than that an hour. Riding a Gold Wing/Slingshot also gives one the same sense of freedom.
Many years ago I took some flying lessons in a nice little Cesena 150...the rule was any landing you can walk away from was a good landing.
Enjoy the trip.
@Ross and I love the donations and I would like to encourage our Slingshot riders to join us for the ride and be an escort for a young brain tumor survivor or a family member. Make it a fun day for the kids and their families as they have an opportunity to enjoy our great bikes.
Thanks! I sent them an email to see about cost and availability! Waiting on reply. Good to know they have some sling experience.
A phone call might get a better response...
its the way these things seem to work - whenever they are working the hardest is when they break, and it is also when you need them the most
never heard anyone complaining that their AC broke it the winter
like you we lost a freezer, the big one we keep in the garage, a year or so ago, but we were able to get a replacement from Lowes before we lost all the food. our Lowes was better than home depot because they had most everything they carry in stock where as home depot didnt - Lowes was able to deliver it right away
Several years ago I bought a used very nice Lincoln TC. Bought in late Nov in Northern Indiana and had it serviced just before heading to Florida in Jan --- and NO we didn't check the "AC" --- Got to Florida and it was very HOT and muggy...and the AC was NOT working.
Some of us who have bought them are happy with them. I bet that none of us are happy with what we paid for them! I'm glad there are plenty models and manufactures to choose from that way we can all be happy. One plus of trying one of the other tops first is that if you are not happy with it and want to try something different you won't take as big a hit financially as you would with the sling shade. Even though I haven't seen any used ones for sale I wouldn't expect the resale to be too good. jes my .o2
One of the Guys bought a top in Maggie and pulled it off less than a week later and sold it to a Indy Slinger.
Miss Erica you do lots of GREAT videos --- and yes it's a bummer when things don't go perfectly but we still love you.
Interesting evening --- setting on the back patio watching and listening to the "Thunder Storms" all around me --- lots of nasty clouds, wind and noise and not a flash of light or a drop of rain, been that way for a couple of hours now. Never saw that many clouds and heard so much noise with NO rain.

2018 Chicagoland Ride for Kids - Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
As most of you know I am one of the supporters of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the fund raising arm "The Ride for Kids".
I hope to make this ride personally, but as many here know Georgia has recently had back surgery and I may not be there. What I would like to see is a lot of Slingshots show up to be VIP Escorts for the ride. Take a young brain tumor survivor(Stars) or a family member on the ride in your Slingshot. If you get to meet and spend some time with these young "Stars" you'll be back for years to come. Be fun to beat @DKF Texas number of Slingshots that she got to turn out in Houston for the Ride for Kids down there. Need to have you license and copy of insurance info. As you pull into the ride area tell the people parking bikes that you want to be a VIP Escort ( even if you don't get a passenger --- you'll be in the front of the line.
I do have a fund raising page for the Chicago Ride
2018 Chicagoland Ride for Kids: Mr. Georgia & E J Ford - Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation
Or put some monies in @Ross page for the Wisconsin Ride for Kids.

The Fiancé
Ayoung woman brought her fiancé home to meet her parents.
After dinner, her mothertold the girl's father to find out about the young man.
Thefather invited the fiancé to his study for a talk. "So, what are your plans?" the
fatherasked the young man.
"Iam a biblical scholar," he replied.
"Abiblical scholar, hmmm?" the father said. "Admirable, but what willyou
do to provide a nice house for my daughter tolive in?"
"Iwill study," the young man replied, "and God will provide for us."
"And how will you buy her a beautifulengagement ring, such as she
deserves?" asked the father.
"I will concentrate on my studies,"the young man replied, "God will provide
for us."
"And children?" asked the father."How will you support children?"
"Don't worry, sir, God willprovide," replied the fiancé.
The conversation proceeded like this...andeach time the father questioned,
the young idealist insisted that God wouldprovide.
Later, the mother asked, "How did yourtalk go, honey?"
The father answered, "another Democrat, hehas no job,
he has no plans, and
he thinks I'm God
