kerosine works better than anything else and does not require any scrubbing. Just wipe on and let sit a few minutes and most will come right off, if it does not do the same thing again and everything should be clean. They trashed my 1989 Firebird with the tar when they paved Hi-way 17 one year and I had to drive on it every day. That was how I found the easy way to get the tar off.
Paint thinner will work the same way as a 'cleaner'....tar/grease
Well damn I'm not a a lesbian and I'm not gorgeous and 25!!! I guess I am screwed as usual!
Didn't want to like your post...but talk to the front desk and most of the time you'll be just fine parking under the canopy. Can't hurt to ask!!!!!!!!!
I would like to participate in a large Manhattan Slightshot ride next month, but would have to find secure overnight parking. If there is such a thing there? Anyone from NYC with any recommendations on what to do? I wouldn't trust just a general garage. There must be something with more security? Thanks
I always 'flirt' with the girls at the front desk at the motel...put them in the Slingshot for a picture....almost always get to part under the canopy at the front door … camera always on and about as secure as you can get.
Thanks buddy. When are you heading to Mayhem?
I am going...just don't know what time I'm leaving for work this am....
SlingRider Happy Birthday.
Boomer hoping you have a Great Day...
Hope it's been a great day.....

Display More1740 miles this week. The SS did have some issues at the end. Burnt out center headlight, Missing screw that holds in the front spoiler so the ol girl has a sag on the starboard side. Gunna have to download the PDF of the front end as the bolt comes from the front out so may have to remove the whole thing to get to it. All very fixable AND she has never been so dirty. Going to need some TLC this weekend.
3.5 hours to get through LA this afternoon. Quite the buzz killer to finish up but no other way to get home.
East side of Santa Barbara mountains at 5k feet... Clear as a bell.
West ocean side of the Santa Barbara mountains deep in fog up to 4k feet - The Santa Barbara harbor and town is down there somewhere..
Both pictures taken just turning around in the same spot.
Lavender farm in Los Olivos - This is where I spotted the headlight out and the bolt missing...You can see the gap.
I'm in Kenosha, WI for the weekend...flirt with the girls behind the desk...they get a picture sitting in the Slingshot and I get to park under the canopy and put the cockpit cover on it and all is good and there is a camera on it 24/7...what I do most of the time when traveling...
21 July Wisconsin Ride for Kids...Come out and put a smile on a face....
Hope it's been A Great Day
I reckon I will be riding by myself again
Wish it wasn't a 12 hour ride to your area. I'll be riding in Wisconsin this weekend...Ride for Kids.
Display MoreWorking on installing a new double DIN head unit from Alpine
It has a parking break lead that needs to be connected to the power supply side of the parking switch to transmit the parking break status to the unit.
You can’t change some of the settings and options / setup unless the unit sees the parking break on.
I have yet to look for the parking break switch and try to figure out how to wire it.
I suspect there is power supplied to the parking break lead when the break is on
Wondering if I could just connect the parking break lead to the 12V power - wondering if that would send a signal indicating the break is “on” all the time allowing me to make changes without having to stop and park.
Thoughts? Anyone try this or have other suggestions?
