Be careful … with the exhaust you have will any of the rear fenders fit.... Do a little research before spending the $$$. I have a Asult Fender from http://www.Slingmods.com , pricey but works for me and keeps the 'rooster tail' water to a minimum.

Does anyone know if the rear fender from Polaris (the one on the new Grand Touring) with fit with the Welter Dual? I looks like it will, but I don't want to make a $700 mistake.

Well I went ahead and order this because I liked the looks and definitely the price. Got it in today and went to test fit it and install it.

    Doesn't fit my SS.

I have the Welter Dual rear exhaust and the fender is to wide. Instead of returning it I tried to trim the folded edges and modify it the best I could, but it won't fit without severe modifications which will then almost render it useless and not look right with the exhaust. Oh well.

I have to say it is a really nice rear fender and built well. Just didn't work for me with the exhaust.

Looks like I will have to suck it up and pay big $$$$$ for one.

Really sorry this happened but I am glad you all are ok.
It might be a little early to ask, but if you have to replace the black portion of the spoiler, can I have it. I need part of the front lower portion of the spoiler for a project I am working.

Sorry Slingrazor, didn't have to replace the black portion of the spoiler. Just the support bar and the painted wing was replaced. Everything else bolted up just fine. I got really lucky.

If it turns out I have to replace it then sure you can have it. Won't know for a bit since the support bar won't be in until next week sometime. I will keep you updated.

Glad it was only cosmetic... pulling off all the plastics and replacing the support bar is a breeze!

May be time to invest in one of those fancy deer whistles (they have saved my bacon many times driving up the Adirondack Mountains on my R1).

Do those really work? I have heard mixed reviews, but I think they are worth trying. Good to hear it is a breeze getting to all of it.

You can brag to your hunting buddies you put down a deer with a slingshot. That’s a tough feat to do.

That is hilarious! I am going to bring that up!

glad everyones ok, that's what matters most.....deer jerky???

Maybe I should swing by this weekend and see if the guy made any jerky

Well for all of you who have ever wondered how well a Slingshot would hold up against hitting a deer.............wonder no longer.

Friday the 13th got me on an evening ride with some friends. At least 20 deer were in a field on a back road here in Maryland and the exhaust noise from the cafe style bikes my buddies were riding spooked them. Half went one way, half went towards us on the road. I had slowed down to about 20-25mph when I saw them running, but they were to quick and I hit probably the last one through. It was a pregnant doe too, which makes me feel even worse. I am just glad none of my buddies hit any on their bikes or it would probably have been a fatal crash scene. Luckily a neighbor witnessed the entire thing (he said it happens often there) and he put the poor thing down so she didn't suffer. The irony of the spot is that one of the intersecting roads a is called "Deer Run Lane". You can't make this stuff up!

I was able to bend the lower wing back out, which caused the passenger side to pop back into place. The paint is spider cracked on the driver's side wing and the support bar was bent pretty badly and will need to be replaced. The deer poop on the wheel washed off at the self service car wash.

So the bright side of all of this (besides no one injured, except the deer) is that I was able to find the support bar on line for $173 shipped to me and upgraded the wings to the carbon fiber ones that SlingMods has currently on sale! So roughly $512 and some personal labor and I will be as good as new! Didn't want to claim it on insurance.

I am also extremely lucky that the deer didn't flip up over the hood and end up in my face. She had stumbled going under a fence and didn't get her footing on the asphalt, which is why she hit so low. If she had been fully upright it would have been an entirely different story.

Here is where I got mine from. Tuning » Schroth Racing » Products

I got the Rallye Cross. The shoulder straps don't separate, but that is what I wanted. They have other types like what you want. They are also DOT approved and have the ASM technology.

Guys/gals, we need some solid answers. There are a lot of moving parts that need to be put in place if we are going to pull this off. Please don't leave us guessing. Please answer up saying yes or no. If we can get even 2 or 3 Tanoms, we are so close to being able to make this happen.

Any update on this track day? Kind of seems dead in the water.

I agree you should not use a harness with stock seats - They are made for seats like the PRP with a pass thru. As far as mounting I think the only secure mount is directly to the roll hoop mounting bolts. I do have DOT approved 4 point harnesses from Schroth Racing and yes they were over $300 a set. Personally the best investment I have made to date and even my wife feels more comfortable with them. Haven't used the stock belts since they were installed. @mniron does delivers some excellent advise as always

Which Schroth Racing belts did you get? One of the Rallye sets? Also, what bracket did you get to bolt it to the roll hoop mounting bolts? Did you have to cut any of the plastic around the hoop covers to have them fit right?

    Thanks in advance.
