You would think we would be swimming in ‘em here. 8+ times out of 10 we ride we never see another SS. Go figure.

Wingman thank goodness my wife does not read the forum!
my lovely wife has driven a few times but that’s about it.
that may fly in Arkansas but not in California!!😜

State Farm wanted $350 for the 2015 since 2015 when I bought and $750 for the 2016 that I bought back in Nov. I think it was.
FunCycle much appreciated on the prompt with this. Allstate just jacked up their motorcycle rates in an egregious way. I just called State Farm and saved myself $500🤑

Sheree202 insurance can be all over the place and only a few of the companies will insure the Slingshot. If you have trouble getting insurance check with Dan
He is in Texas but has insured a lot of Slingshot all over the country.... Mins included.
I do lots of miles and am a little older with a good record and pay $325.00 yr for full coverage. And the only thing that Dan has of mine is the Slingshot.
thanks for the post! I’m calling your man today. I’m actually embarrassed to say what I’m paying for insurance right now....🤨

Yeah, changing oil is EASY in the GM 2.4. You will have to get you one of those 32mm sockets. And check into the Fumoto Valve (F107SX fits the SS).
Truthfully, try to get your dealer to throw in the first 500mile service, or at least get it reduced in cost. That should engine oil change, lube all the zerk fittings (suspension and drive shaft), and recheck all the bolts that they had to tighten when they did the initial assembly.
You'll want to change the rear angle drive gear oil at about 1500 miles then again by 10K miles, then it should be good after that for a long while.
suspension zerk fittings? Gunna have to go find them......

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong section for this but my Wife and I are as of right now picking up our Slingshot on Friday. I was wondering about theft deterrents. The dealer said something about removing the steering wheel with a quick detach wheel. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Along with where to find the items.
Thanks, Don
congratulations on your new Slingshot! Welcome!!
perhaps another consideration is a hidden toggle Killswitch..... and a good insurance policy😎 -
I think I just saw Toto, Auntie Em and a cow fly by! Santa Anna winds are kicking in big time!

Left handed brush ( right handed ones don’t work)
and a can of... -
cajuntrikker if there was any doubt you came to the right spot for your SS you can put that to rest.
You posted on Sunday and you have gotten a bunch of replies from da guru’s - the wizards of smart. This was my experience as well. Hope you find your stalling issue!
Good family here!

Drove my Slingshot for the first time on the interstate. I never saw any be Slingshots around my be area on the interstate, so I guess I'm one of the first here in South Louisiana. Lol....
I wore a full face helmet when I rode motorcycles in Louisiana because of all of the mutant critters flying around! Welcome to the party!
What part of Louisiana are you from? That’s a beautiful state!

Temecula Valley today and 75😎in the avocado and citrus groves.
But 60 and foggy at the beach in Carlsbad- still nice though.

Very sad!
Haven't been able to finish getting the garage cleared out so we can fit both the Jag and the Slingshot in together. Surprise, the Captain's convertible (Kitty) gets pride of place, and Ruby gets stuck in the tractor shed. 😑
Hoping for some warmer weather on one of my days off, but lots of life & work stuff have been interfering. 🙄
Might want to slip some DECON up under the hood to keep the critters away!
Poor SS! Taken to the "woodshed"!
